Wuhutang is the 51st Chinese medicine prescription of Han ethnic group on in the catalogue of ancient classical prescriptions (the second batch) ,which originated from Renzhai' Straight Diections Prescriptions (《仁斋直指方》) by YANG Shiying in the Song dynasty,it is composed of 5 medicines, including Ephedrae Herba,Armeniacae Semen Amarum, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, tea and Gypsum Fibrosum. It treats shortness of breath and phlegm. Following the principle of textual research on the key information of ancient classical famous prescriptions, the author collected and recorded the ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine of Wuhutang with the method of Bibliometrics, and screened out 53 valid data, involving 41 ancient books. Based on the historical evolution, drug composition, main treatment of disease and syndrome, drug dosage, method of preparation and usage, drug origin and processing, the author conducted a dig and a systematic study of Wuhutang. The results show that:in the later generations, besides inheriting the original prescription, the composition of medicine was added or subtracted, and the frequency of addition of Mori Cortex was the most;in the treatment of disease and syndrome, most of them inherited the original prescription mainly treating asthma syndrome, also see in the treatment of asthma, cough and other lung disease, in the drug dosage and method of use , it is suggested to inherit the original prescription, the dosage of each medicine is: Ephedrae Herba 2.89 g, Armeniacae Semen Amarum 4.13 g, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma 1.65 g, tea 3.30 g, Gypsum Fibrosum 6.20 g, decoction, take warm clothes before eating;on the source of medcine, ephedra is made from the dried herbaceous stems of Ephedra sinica (Ephedraceae),bitter almond is made from the dried and mature seeds of Prunus armeniaca (Rosaceae),Licorice is made from the dried roots and rhizomes of Glycyrrhiza uralensis(Legumes), tea is made from the buds leaves of Camellia sinensis(Camellia),plaster is made from Gypsum Fibrosum of sulfate mineral gypsum family. At the same time, we collected and sorted the modern clinical application literature of Wuhutang, and obtained 73 effective literatures, all of which are for the treatment of respiratory system diseases, especially for children's pneumonia and asthma, and mostly belong to"phlegm-heat obstructing the lung syndrome". Through the analysis and study of ancient books and modern applied literature, the historical evolution and prescription evolution of Wuhutang are clarified, and its key information is determined, in order to provide more accurate reference for the research and development of the classic Wuhutang and the rational addition and subtraction of the application.

Objective To explore the effect of sling exercise with Tuina therapy on kinesiophobia in old patients with lumbar disc herniation, and analyze the mechanism based on brain-bone axis. Methods A total of 56 old patients with chronic lumbar disc herniation and kinesiophobia were selected from the Reha-bilitation Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September,2022 to December,2023;and randomly divided into control group(n=28)and experimental group(n=28).The control group accepted conventional exercise therapy, while the experimental group accepted sling exercise with Tuina therapy, for four weeks. They were assessed with simplified Chinese version of Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia(TSK),Japanese Orthopaedic Association score(JOA)and Visual Analogue Scale for pain(VAS)before and after treatment, while the bone mineral density(BMD)was tested, the levels of osteoprote-gerin(OPG),norepinephrine(NE)and corticosteroids(Cor)in serum were measured, and the median frequency(MF)of weak-link erector spinae was detected with surface electromyography. Results Two cases dropped off in the control group, and one in the experimental group. The scores of all the assessment improved in both groups after treatment(|t|>14.168,P<0.001),as well as the serum levels of OPG,NE and Cor(|t|>2.103,P<0.05),BMD(|t|>2.726,P<0.05),and MF of erector spinae(|t|>14.736,P<0.001);all of them were better in the experimental group than in the control group(|t|>2.154,P<0.05). Conclusion Sling exercise with Tuina therapy can improve the pain and kinesiophobia of lumbar disc herniation in the old adults, which may promote the recovery of physical and mental function through regulating the levels of hor-mones and neurotransmitters related to the brain-bone axis.

BackgroundPatients with schizophrenia are at high risk of suffering from metabolic syndrome. Most previous studies on the influencing factors of metabolic syndrome focused on the inpatients and limited ones on patients dwelling in community. ObjectiveTo explore the influencing factors at different risk levels of metabolic syndrome in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia in Guangzhou, so as to provide references for future interventions on metabolic syndrome in this patient population. MethodsIn November 2021, 3 339 patients with schizophrenia who were registered in and administered by Guangzhou Mental Health Information System were included. All these patients had finished the physical examination in 2020, and whether they had metabolic syndrome was assessed basing on Guideline for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in China (2020 edition). Patients were divided into high-risk group (n=423), critical group (n=1 524) and metabolic syndrome group (n=1 392) according to the Chinese expert consensus on the management of metabolic syndrome in patients with schizophrenia. Multiple logistic regression analysis were performed on the risk factors of metabolic syndrome in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia. ResultsThe prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia was 41.69%. Univariate analysis showed that the results in gender (χ2=44.610), age (χ2=55.992), marriage status (χ2=30.755), illness course (χ2=25.913) and body mass index (χ2=829.265) were significantly different among the three groups (P<0.01). Kruskal-Wallis H test showed that the levels of waist circumference (H=920.331), systolic blood pressure (H=436.673), diastolic blood pressure (H=393.337), fasting blood glucose (H=807.304), triglyceride (H=1 134.125) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (H=593.615) among the three groups were significantly different (P<0.01). Logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥50 (OR=1.761, 95% CI: 1.087~2.853), overweight (OR=2.418, 95% CI: 1.862~3.140) and obesity (OR=57.903, 95% CI: 14.340~233.802) were risk factors contributing to high-risk patients becoming critical population (P<0.05 or 0.01). Female gender (OR=1.295, 95% CI: 1.034~1.622), aged 40~49 (OR=2.597, 95% CI: 1.582~4.263), age ≥50 (OR=4.392, 95% CI: 2.609~7.395), overweight (OR=7.844, 95% CI: 6.018~10.223) and obesity (OR=426.785, 95% CI: 105.724~1 722.839) were risk factors for high-risk patients developing into metabolic syndrome population (P<0.05 or 0.01). ConclusionThe prevalence rate of metabolic syndrome is higher in community-dwelling patients with schizophrenia. Female gender, older age, overweight and obesity would increase the risk of metabolic syndrome in schizophrenic patients. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of non-ionic polyacrylamide(model:NPAM 1400)alone or combined with nanoscale silica gel (nSiO2) on the stability of Glycyrrhetinic acid lipo-emulsion. METHODS:UV-spectrophotometer was used to determine absorbance of diluent at 500 nm before and after lipo-emulsion centrifugation. Using the preparation without stable excipient as blank, stability coefficient (KE) and it ratio (KE/KE blank) were calculated. Effects of different concentrations (200-600 mg/L) of non-ionic polyacrylamide on the stability of Glycyrrhetinic acid lipo-emulsion were evaluated. The optimal concentration of non-ionic polyacrylamide alone was determined primarily, and then the effects of it combined with different concentrations of hydrophilic nSiO2 (0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%) or hydrophobic (0.2%, 0.3%, 0.5%) on the stability of Glycyrrhetinic acid lipo-emulsion were investigated. RESULTS:When adding non-ionic polyacrylamide alone,KE of Glycyrrhetinic acid lipo-emulsion mixed with 300 mg/L non-ionic polyacrylamide was the lowest,KE/KE blank was 0.22;when combined,KE of Glycyrrhetinic acid lipo-emulsion mixed with 300 mg/L non-ionic polyacrylamide and 0.2% hydrophobic nSiO2 was the lowest,KE/KE blank was 0.27. CONCLUSIONS:Non-ionic polyacrylamide alone or combined with nSiO2 all can promote the stability of Glycyrrhetinic acid lipo-emulsion,among which 300 mg/L non-ionic polyacrylamide alone is the best.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the infection status and virulent genes of Aeromonas in patients with acute diarrhea in Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
METHODSIn 2012, stool samples were collected from diarrhea patients in 12 sentinel hospitals in Pudong for the detections of 13 pathogens causing diarrhea, and the detections of 5 diarrhea related virulent genes were conducted for Aeromonas isolates.
RESULTSA total of 101 patients were infected with Aeromonas in 2533 patients (4.0%). A total of 101 Aeromonas strains were isolated, including 17 Aeromonas hydrophila strains (18.8%), 44 Aeromonas veronii biovar sobria strains (52.5%) and 12 Aeromonas caviae strains (29.7%). And 44 coinfections with other pathogens were detected. Aeromonas infection mainly occurred in summer and in people aged ≥20 years. Among the patients infected with Aeromonas, 71 (70.3%) had watery diarrhea, 20 (19.8%) had vomiting and 11 (10.9%) had fever. Virulent genes detection showed that 95.0% of the Aeromonas. strains carried virulent genes, and the detection rates of hlyA, aerA, act, alt, and ast genes were 5.9%, 6.9%, 67.3%, 42.6% and 13.9%, respectively.
CONCLUSIONSHigh incidence of Aeromonas infection was found in the patients with acute diarrhea in Pudong, and a high proportion of coinfections with other pathogens was detected too. Most Aeromonas strains carried virulent genes, and the distribution varied.
