BackgroundIt has been shown that academic procrastination, cognitive emotion regulation strategies, anxiety and mobile phone dependence are closely related, but the detailed mechanism by which academic procrastination contributes to mobile phone dependence remains largely unclear and mediation analysis is currently lacking. ObjectiveTo explore the mediation role of cognitive emotion regulation strategies and anxiety in the relationship between academic procrastination and mobile phone dependence among college students, so as to provide references for the prevention and intervention of college students' mobile phone dependence. MethodsIn March 2023, 474 students from Xinjiang Normal University were selected by random sampling technique, and Mobile Phone Addiction Index (MPAI), Procrastination Assessment Scale-Students (PASS), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire-Chinese version (CERQ-C) were used to conduct the survey. Pearson correlation analysis was adopted to examine the correlation among all variables, and Process 3.5 macro program was utilized to determine the mediation effect of cognitive emotion regulation strategies and anxiety on the relationship between academic procrastination and mobile phone dependence among college students. Results①PASS scores were positively correlated with the scores on CERQ-C negative cognitive emotion regulation strategy, BAI and MPAI (r=0.374, 0.229, 0.661, P<0.01), CERQ-C negative cognitive emotion regulation strategy scores were positively correlated with BAI and MPAI scores (r=0.372, 0.498, P<0.01), and BAI scores were positively correlated with MPAI scores (r=0.340, P<0.01). ② Both negative cognitive emotion regulation strategy and anxiety exerted an mediation effect on the relationship between academic procrastination and mobile phone dependence among college students, with an effect value of 0.094 (95% CI: 0.056~0.137) and 0.013 (95% CI: 0.001~0.029), and a chained mediation effect of negative cognitive emotion regulation strategy and anxiety on the relationship between academic procrastination and mobile phone dependence among college students was also documented, with an effect value of 0.015 (95% CI: 0.006~0.026). ConclusionAcademic procrastination is proved to be effective in predicting college students' mobile phone dependence both directly and indirectly through either separate or chained mediation of negative cognitive emotion regulation strategy and anxiety. Patients with sudden deafness encounter greater psychological challenges and communication barriers after experiencing sudden hearing loss, and traditional medical models often fail to adequately address their unique needs. This paper analyzed the current situation of emotional and behavioral changes in patients with sudden deafness, and the gap between their expectations and the reality of medical care. From the perspective of narrative medicine, the theory and characteristics of the reconstruction of the doctor-patient relationships in patients with sudden deafness were explored. The results showed that narrative medicine can enhance patients’ emotional resonance and understanding, improve the efficiency and quality of doctor-patient communication, promote the formulation of personalized treatment plans, and enhance treatment adherence and satisfaction. Based on these results, strategies and pathways for the reconstruction of doctor-patient relationships for patients with sudden deafness were proposed, including building empathetic bridges and tapping into mechanisms of emotional resonance within narrative medicine; optimizing communication strategies and promoting the application of narrative techniques in doctor-patient dialogues; connecting narrative pathways and advocating the exploration of stories and strategies in personalized treatments; as well as facilitating treatment adherence and making full use of the psychodynamic effects of narrative medicine. Narrative medicine, as a patient-centered medical practice, can effectively promote the reconstruction of doctor-patient relationships, enhance treatment effectiveness, and offer a more humane treatment experience for patients.

Objective To investigate the annual effective doses to radiation workers caused by radon concentrations in the underground workplaces of medical institutions, and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of indoor radon in underground places. Methods A typical sampling method was used to select 5-30 medical institutions in each of Hunan, Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hubei, and Sichuan provinces. A total of 66 monitoring points in 66 medical institutions were selected. The indoor radon concentrations in underground workplaces were measured cumulatively using CR-39 solid nuclear track detectors. The radiation dose to radiation workers was estimated according to the method outlined in the Requirements for control of indoor radon and its progeny (GB/T 16146—2015). The Kruskal-Wallis H test was used to compare the differences in indoor radon concentrations between different provinces. Results The average indoor radon concentration in the underground workplaces of 66 medical institutions was 69.8 Bq/m3, with the highest being 147.6 Bq/m3. The average indoor radon concentrations in the underground workplaces of medical institutions in Sichuan, Guizhou, Hubei, Jiangxi, and Hunan were 72.1, 83.2, 66.6, 88.4, and 61.5 Bq/m3, respectively. The annual effective doses to radiation workers caused by radon concentrations in underground workplaces were 0.57-0.83 mSv, with an average of 0.69 mSv. There was a significant difference in radon concentrations among provinces (P < 0.05). Conclusion The indoor radon concentrations and personnel exposure doses in the underground workplaces of monitored medical institutions comply with national control standards. However, continuous monitoring and necessary indoor radon prevention and control measures are still needed.

Objective To evaluate the current status in the implementation of GBZ/T 201.5-2015 Radiation shielding requirements for radiotherapy rooms-Part 5: Radiotherapy room of proton accelerators, identify issues in the application of its technical indicators, and provide a basis for the in-depth implementation and further revision of the standard. Methods In accordance with the Standardization Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Guidelines for Health Standards Tracking Evaluation (WS/T 536-2017), a combination of cluster sampling and stratified sampling methods was employed to select professionals involved in proton accelerator radiotherapy devices and facilities in three provinces (or municipalities directly under the central government) as the subjects of the survey. A questionnaire was developed to collect basic information about the subjects and their understanding and application of the technical indicators in the standard. A standard evaluation indicator system with a total score of 100 points was established to score the implementation of the standard (40 points), the technical content (30 points), and the effectiveness of the implementation (30 points). Results A total of 169 professionals from 107 institutions participated in the survey, with 79.88% of the respondents having at least 5 years of experience in radiation therapy and 74.56% holding intermediate or higher professional titles. The score of standard implementation was 18.3 points. The awareness rate exceeded 80%, indicating a high level of awareness about the standard. However, the scores for the dissemination and application of the standard were relatively low, accounting for 28% and 32% of their respective full marks. The technical content of the standard and the effectiveness of its implementation scored 27.0 and 26.6 points, respectively. The overall score in the evaluation of standard implementation was 72 points, with scores of 68.6, 72.3, and 75.0 for Beijing City, Shanghai City, and Jiangsu Province, respectively. Conclusion GBZ/T 201.5-2015 Radiation shielding requirements for radiotherapy rooms-Part 5: Radiotherapy room of proton accelerators is scientific and operable, and it is well-coordinated with relevant laws and standards. However, considering the development in FLASH technology and multi-chamber radiotherapy room, it is necessary to revise and improve the standard.
6.Correlation between depressive symptom and traditional Chinese medicine constitution among school aged children and adolescents
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(9):1222-1225
Objective:
To explore the correlation between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) constitution and depressive symptom among school aged children and adolescents, so as to provide evidences for informing constitution based regulation and prevention of depressive symptom.
Methods:
From June to December 2024, a total of 4 729 students aged 6-14 were recruited by cluster random sampling from 10 primary schools in Baoding (Hebei Province), Heze and Liaocheng (Shandong Province). General information, TCM constitution and depressive symptom were collected. Restricted cubic spline (RCS) models were used to analyze related factors and threshold effects of depressive symptom. Binary Logistic regression was applied to examine the association between depressive symptom and TCM constitution, with subgroup analyses conducted.
Results:
The detection rate of depressive symptom among the included children and adolescents was 25.82%. RCS analyses indicated non linear associations between depressive symptom and age (inflection point at 10 years old), bedtime (inflection point at 22:00), and wake up time (inflection point at 6:30 ) (all P non linearity <0.01). Linear associations were observed with body mass index (BMI) and sleep duration (all P non linearity > 0.05 ). After adjusting for covariates such as age, BMI and sleep status, binary Logistic regression analyses showed that Yin deficient constitution ( OR =1.26, 95% CI =1.09-1.45) and Phlegm-dampness constitution ( OR =1.42, 95% CI =1.11-1.82) were significantly associated with depressive symptom among children and adolescents (all P <0.05).
Conclusions
Depressive symptom among school aged children and adolescents is primarily associated with Yin deficiency and Phlegm dampness constitutions in TCM constitution. Active attention should be paid to susceptible TCM constitution among children and adolescents. Targeted health guidance and interventions should be implemented to improve TCM constitution health status for preventing the occurrence of depressive symptom.

BACKGROUND:With social progress, the incidence rate of knee osteoarthritis is getting higher and higher in the face of the rapidly developing aging problem in the social population, and the number of total knee replacement operations is gradually increasing. OBJECTIVE:To study the relationship between prosthesis size and stress shielding by improving the tibial prosthesis base. METHODS:A female patient with severe knee osteoarthritis was selected.Based on Mimics, through extracting the bone structure of the knee joint and simulating the total knee replacement surgery, osteotomy, positioning, and implantation operations were carried out to establish the geometric modeling of the total knee replacement prosthesis(including the femoral prosthesis, tibial bracket, and tibial pad),and improve the design of the tibial prosthesis base, analyze the effect of different tibial prosthesis bases on stress shielding of surrounding bone tissue. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Compared with single-stem tibial intramedullary stem prosthesis, the design of four-post tibial intramedullary stem prosthesis created a certain degree of stress shielding around the short stem. However, compared with a thicker single long stem, this stress shielding effect was significantly reduced, and the load was evenly distributed among the four short stems,so there was no stress concentration at the bottom of the pile.(2)The design with a rectangular hole in the middle not only provided relatively good stability, but also helped to reduce stress shielding of cancellous bone to a certain extent, with a reduction rate of 77.5%.(3)Compared with a single-stem tibial intramedullary stem prosthesis, both the four-post tibial intramedullary stem prosthesis and the four-post tibial intramedullary stem prosthesis with a hole in the middle have good stability, which can reduce stress shielding to a certain extent without causing stress concentration, providing theoretical guidance for the design of the tibial intramedullary stem.
