1.Practical research of basic medical integrated courses and clinical medical integrated courses based on organ system

		                        			Objective:To compare the teaching effect of basic medical integrated courses and clinical medical integrated courses based on organ system with the traditional teaching model based on discipline,so as to provide theoretical reference for training medical talents.Methods:The program of integration of basic medical courses and clinical medical courses was formulated.The current clinical medical students who participated in the medical licensing examination were selected as the research objects under the three teaching models of basic and clinical medical integrated courses,clinical medical integrated courses,and discipline-based courses.The students'scores of comprehensive basic medicine,comprehensive clinical medicine,and medical licensing examination were analyzed to preliminarily evaluate the implementation effect of the integrated teaching model of basic medicine and clinical medicine.Result:There was no significant difference in the examination scores of students under the three teaching modes.Conclusion:The organ system-based integrated teaching model has no significant effect on students'academic performance in the short term.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
2.Short-Term Efficacy of Celiac Plexus Block Combined with Interstitial Permanent Implantation of 125I Seeds in Treatment of Advanced Pancreatic Cancer

		                        			Objective To investigate the short-term efficacy of celiac plexus block combined with the interstitial permanent implantation of 125I seeds in the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer(inoperable locally advanced and metastatic pancreatic cancers).Methods A total of 100 patients with advanced pancreatic cancer were selected and treated with celiac plexus block combined with the interstitial permanent implantation of 125I seeds under CT guidance.Pain relief and changes in the tumor marker CA19-9 were assessed on the seventh day,the first and third months after surgery.In the third month after surgery,tumor size was assessed by CT.Results Among the 100 patients with advanced pancreatic cancer,complete response(CR)was found in 12 cases,partial response(PR)in 78 cases,stable disease in five cases,and progression of disease in five cases three months after surgery.The CA19-9 level and the sum of short and long tumor diameters were significantly decreased(both P<0.01).A total of 100 patients had severe pain before treatment(visual analogue scale(VAS)):7-10 points),59 patients reported pain disappearance(VAS:0 points),35 patients had mild pain(VAS:1-3 points),and six patients experienced moderate pain(VAS:4-6 points)in the third month after treatment.The pain relief rate was 100%.Conclusion Celiac plexus block combined with the interstitial permanent implantation of 125I seeds has good short-term efficacy and can effectively improve short-term pain in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
3.Application of Clinical Prediction Models for Postoperative Complications of Colorectal Cancer

		                        			Postoperative complications of colorectal cancer (CRC) are the main cause of postoperative death and seriously affect the quality of life and survival time of patients. The application of a clinical prediction model for postoperative complications of CRC can help promptly identify high-risk patients. Accordingly, reasonable intervention measures can be actively taken to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications of CRC. A scientific basis can also be provided to improve the prognosis of patients. In this work, literature on the risk-factor analysis and prediction-model construction of postoperative complications of CRC at home and abroad in recent years was collected and reviewed. The evaluation content and efficiency of the clinical prediction models in postoperative complications of CRC were summarized. Their advantages and disadvantages were also analyzed. The purpose of this study was to provide a reference for the subsequent optimization of such models and the development of a strong, clinically practical, and universal risk-screening tool for postoperative complications of CRC.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
4.Incision scar recovery assessment of patients with transaxillary dual-plane breast augmentation assisted with endoscopy

		                        			Objective:To evaluate incision scars of transaxillary breast augmentation by different methods of scar assessment.Methods:A retrospective study was carried out on 30 patients (age range 20 to 50 years, with mean age of 32 years) who underwent endoscopic assisted transaxillary type Ⅰ dual plane breast implant augmentation by a same surgeon from August 2014 to November 2016. Scars were estimated by 3 methods which included Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS), Visual Assessment Scale (VAS) and patients' questionnaire.Results:VAS score for left side scars ranged from 0 to 8 and the median was 1. VAS score for right side scars ranged from 0 to 8.3 and the median was 1. A total of 48 scars were scored in the 0-2 point range, representing 80% of the 60 total. VSS score for left side scars ranged from 0 to 11.6 and the median was 0.8. VSS score for right side scars ranged from 0 to 11.3 and the median was 1.2. A total of 46 scars were scored in the 0-2 point range, representing 76.7% of the total 60 breats. The scores between VSS and VAS had significant statistical differences ( P<0.001). 80.0% of our patients regarded scars as unconspicuous or basically invisible in our questionnaire. Conclusions:The majority of transaxillary incision scars recover in favorable status with high patients satisfactory rate. VAS is a practical tool for evaluating transaxillary incision scars. 5.Long-term curative effects of uterine artery embolization with polyvinyl alcohol granules on adenomyosis

		                        			Objective:To investigate the long-term efficacy and the adverse reactions of uterine artery embolization with polyvinyl alcohol granules in the treatment of adenomyosis.Methods:Sixty patients with adenomyosis who received treatment in The Second People's Hospital of Qinzhou from January 2009 to February 2017 were retrospectively included in this study. They were divided into an observation group ( n = 31) and a control group ( n = 29) according to different treatment methods. The observation group was treated by embolization of the uterine artery with a polyvinyl alcohol granule. The control group was treated with a levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system. After treatment, all patients were followed up for 2-5 years. The long-term efficacy was evaluated, including the symptoms of dysmenorrhea, average menstrual fluid volume, sex hormone, and change in uterine size. Results:After 2 years of treatment, the response rate in the observation group was 93.5% (29/31), which was significantly higher than 72.4% (21/29) in the control group ( χ2 = 4.81, P = 0.028). After 5 years of treatment, the response rate in the observation group was 93.5% (29/31), which was significantly higher than 65.5% (19/29) in the control group ( χ2 = 7.35, P = 0.007). After treatment, the improvements in uterine size, menstrual fluid volume, and visual analogue scale score were greater in the observation group than those in the control group (all P < 0.05). After treatment, all patients were followed up for 5 years. There was no significant difference in the incidence of long-term adverse reactions between the observation and control groups [3.2% (1/31) vs. 6.9% (2/29), P > 0.05]. The recurrence rate in the observation group was 3.45% (1/29), which was significantly lower than 23.81% (5/21) in the control group ( χ2 = 4.78, P = 0.029). After 2 and 5 years of treatment, ovarian function was not affected in both groups of patients. Conclusion:Uterine artery embolization with polyvinyl alcohol granules for the treatment of adenomyosis has identified long-term curative effects, is safe, and has a low recurrence rate.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
6.Development of a mouse model of stellate ganglion block and subsequent effects on cerebral cortical blood flow

		                        			Objective:To develop a model of stellate ganglion block (SGB) in mice and investigate the effect of SGB on cerebral cortical blood flow.Methods:Thirty clean-grade healthy male C57BL/6 mice, aged 8-9 weeks, weighing 23-27 g, were divided into 5 groups ( n=6 each) using a random number table method: control group (group C), left SGB group (group L), left normal saline group (group SL), right SGB group (group R) and right normal saline group (group SR). Group C received no intervention.SGB was performed with 0.25% ropivacaine 0.08 ml via percutaneous posterior approach in L and R groups, while the equal volume of normal saline 0.08 ml was given instead at the location of left and right stellate ganglion in SL and SR groups, respectively.The cerebral cortical blood flow was determined using laser speckle contrast imaging system before SGB (T 0) and at 10, 30, 60, 90 and 120 min after SGB (T 1-5). Results:Mice developed ptosis on the block side, indicating that the model of SGB was successfully developed in L and R groups.There was no significant difference in cerebral cortical blood flow at each time point among C, SL and SR groups ( P>0.05), and cerebral cortical blood flow on the block side decreased at T 1, began to increase at T 2, peaked at T 3, and decreased at T 5 which was still higher than that at T 0 in group L and group R ( P<0.01). Compared with C and SL groups, the left cerebral cortical blood flow was significantly decreased at T 1, 5 and increased at T 2-4 in group L ( P<0.01). Compared with C and SR groups, the right cerebral cortical blood flow was significantly decreased at T 1, 5 and increased at T 2-4 in group R ( P<0.01). There were no significant differences in cerebral cortical blood flow at each time point between group C and group SL and between group C and group RL ( P>0.05). Conclusions:The mouse model of SGB via percutaneous posterior approach is successfully developed.Unilateral SGB can affect cerebral cortical blood flow on the block side, which shows a transitory decrease followed by a sustained significant increase.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
7.Primary practice of transcatheter edge-to-edge repair for mitral regurgitation: Early results of MitraClip in multiple centers

		                        			Objective    To investigate the early clinical results of MitraClip system in domestic patients. Methods     We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 36 patients who underwent transcatheter edge-to-edge repair procedure using MitraClip system in Beijing Fuwai Hospital, Shenzhen Fuwai Hospital and Fuwai Yunnan Cardiovascular Hospital between January and June 2021. There were 24 males and 12 females, with a median age of 70 (47-86) years. Ten (27.8%) patients had 3+ mitral regurgitation (MR) and 26 (72.2%) patients had 4+ MR preoperatively. Results    All procedures were successfully performed. The reduction in MR was 2+ at least immediately after surgery, and 91.7% of patients had MR≤2+ at 3 days postoperatively. There was no statistical difference in left ventricular ejection fraction change postoperatively. Forward velocity and peak gradient of mitral valve were increased after the procedure. Mean gradient of mitral valve were increased at 3 days postoperatively than immediately after surgery (P<0.001). Two patients had acute pericardial effusion intraoperatively, and received pericardial puncture and drainage immediately. Conclusion    MitraClip system has been applied well in domestic patients and can significantly improve MR. 8.Advances in novel hormonal agents for metastatic prostate cancer

		                        			With the economic development and medical progress in China, the incidence of prostate cancer is increasing, and most patients have already developed advanced tumors with poor prognosis when diagnosed. The main cornerstone of treatment for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) has always been androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), but most mHSPC will transform into metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), how to prolong the time from mHSPC to mCRPC has become a current research hotspot, and several landmark phase 3 clinical trials in recent years have led to rapid changes in patient treatment options, including a variety of drugs with different mechanisms of action (e.g., endocrine therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy). 9.Effect of decision-making assistance in prosthesis selection of breast augmentation patients

		                        			Objective:To explore the effect of decision-making assistance during the implantation selection of breast augmentation patients to provide a reference for improving decision-making aids.Methods:From June 2018 to June 2020, the decision-making assistance programs were used in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital for prosthesis selection in 51 breast augmentation female patients, aged 23 to 42 years, with an average of 31 years old. The BREAST-Q scale was applied to assess the postoperative results of augmentation patients. Postoperative breast satisfaction was also evaluated by the physicians.Results:With decision-making assistance, breast augmentation patients' satisfaction with breasts was (80.27±11.45) points, satisfaction with surgical results (83.41±12.29) points, social and psychological status scores (87.24±7.62) points, and sexual life status scores (85.49±7.90) points, physical condition score (73.94±8.98) points. There was no statistical difference in the scores of breast size between physicians and patients ( P>0.05). In the satisfaction score and total score of breast shape and feeling, physicians' scores were higher than patients' self-report scores, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:The patient self-reported postoperative outcomes are at a high level under the application of decision aid program. We can further improve the decision aid program for breast augmentation patients, adjust patient's surgical expectation, and realize shared decision making.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Dual role of interleukin-33 in tumors.

		                        			Interleukin-33 (IL-33) is a new member of the IL-1 cytokine family which plays roles in the nucleus as a nuclear factor and is released by damaged or necrotic cells to act as a cytokine. It can be released via damaged or necrotic cells and functions as a cytokine. The released IL-33 activates the downstream NF-κB and MAPKs signaling pathways through the isomers of the specific receptor ST2 and the interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein (IL-1RAcP), resulting in danger signals and the activated multiple immune responses. IL-33 is abnormally expressed in various tumors and involves in tumorigenesis, development, and metastasis.
