Gas therapy is emerging as a highly promising therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment. However, there are limitations, including the lack of targeted subcellular organelle accuracy and spatiotemporal release precision, associated with gas therapy. In this study, we developed a series of photoactivatable nitric oxide (NO) donors NRh-R-NO (R = Me, Et, Bn, iPr, and Ph) based on an N-nitrosated upconversion luminescent rhodamine scaffold. Under the irradiation of 808 nm light, only NRh-Ph-NO could effectively release NO and NRh-Ph with a significant turn-on frequency upconversion luminescence (FUCL) signal at 740 nm, ascribed to lower N-N bond dissociation energy. We also investigated the involved multistage near-infrared-controlled cascade release of gas therapy, including the NO released from NRh-Ph-NO along with one NRh-Ph molecule generation, the superoxide anion O2⋅- produced by the photodynamic therapy (PDT) effect of NRh-Ph, and highly toxic peroxynitrite anion (ONOO‒) generated from the co-existence of NO and O2⋅-. After mild nano-modification, the nanogenerator (NRh-Ph-NO NPs) empowered with superior biocompatibility could target mitochondria. Under an 808 nm laser irradiation, NRh-Ph-NO NPs could induce NO/ROS to generate RNS, causing a decrease in the mitochondrial membrane potential and initiating apoptosis by caspase-3 activation, which further induced tumor immunogenic cell death (ICD). In vivo therapeutic results of NRh-Ph-NO NPs showed augmented RNS-potentiated gas therapy, demonstrating excellent biocompatibility and effective tumor inhibition guided by real-time FUCL imaging. Collectively, this versatile strategy defines the targeted RNS-mediated cancer therapy.

Amantadine(AMD)residue can accumulate in organisms through the food chain and cause serious harm to human body.AMD can specifically bind to AMD specific aptamer and cause its conformation to change from a random single strand to a stem-loop structure. To avoid the influence of excess nucleotides on binding of aptamer to AMD,the truncation of the AMD original aptamer J was optimized by retaining an appropriate stem-loop structure, and a new type of truncation aptamers was developed in this work.By comparing the truncated aptamer with the original aptamer,it was found that the truncated aptamer J-7 had better affinity and specificity with AMD.The detection limit of AMD was 0.11 ng/mL by using J-7 as specific recognition element and molybdenum disulfide nanosheet(MoS2Ns)as signal amplification element. The developed method base on truncated aptamer J-7 was used for detection of AMD in milk, yogurt and SD rat serum samples for the first time with recoveries of 86.6%-108.2%.This study provided a reference for truncating other long sequence aptamers and provided a more sensitive detection method for monitoring AMD residues in food.

Objective To optimize the oxygen therapy regimens for infants with pulmonary diseases during bronchoscopy. Methods A prospective randomized, controlled, and single-center clinical trial was conducted on 42 infants who underwent electronic bronchoscopy from July 2019 to July 2021.These infants were divided into a nasal cannula(NC)group and a modified T-piece resuscitator(TPR)group using a random number table. The lowest intraoperative blood oxygen saturation was recorded as the primary outcome, and intraoperative heart rate and respiratory results were recorded as the secondary outcomes. Results Compared with the NC group, the modified TPR group had a significantly higher level of minimum oxygen saturation during surgery and a significantly lower incidence rate of hypoxemia(P<0.05).In the modified TPR group, there were 6 infants with mild hypoxemia,2 with moderate hypoxemia, and 1 with severe hypoxemia, while in the NC group, there were 3 infants with mild hypoxemia,5 with moderate hypoxemia, and 9 with severe hypoxemia(P<0.05).The modified TPR group had a significantly lower incidence rate of intraoperative respiratory rhythm abnormalities than the NC group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the incidence rate of arrhythmias between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Modified TPR can significantly reduce the risk of hypoxemia in infants with pulmonary diseases during electronic bronchoscopy, and TPR significantly decreases the severity of hypoxemia and the incidence of respiratory rhythm abnormalities compared with traditional NC.

In recent years, the physician-patient relationship has been tense, the physician-patient conflict has been escalating, and the number of irrational medical complaints has been constantly increasing, all of which have a negative impact on the public image of the hospital and the legal environment of medical treatment. From the perspective of behavioral economics,it analyzes the reasons for the occurrence of irrational medical complaints among outpatient patients by applying behavioral economics theories such as bounded rationality, social influence, herd effect, loss aversion, endowment effect, and mental accounting. It constructs a model of irrational complaint behaviors of outpatient patients based on behavioral economics theory, and tries to draw lessons from framing effect and nudge theory to propose countermeasures for hospitals to reduce irrational medical complaints and boost the complaint prevention management of medical institutions.

Since the convening of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, public health of the Chinese has significantly improved, but chronic diseases have hindered its further development. Proactive health is a positive approach to health management, with an emphasis on the prevention of diseases through a healthy lifestyle, which is of great significance to chronic disease prevention and control. Chronic diseases are becoming more prevalent among young age groups in China; thus, it is necessary to advance chronic disease prevention to adolescence. The implementation of proactive health has marked effects on chronic disease prevention and health promotion in adolescents. The integration of sports, health and education is an important way to promote the implementation of proactive health in adolescents and facilitate their healthy development. However, the integration is still insufficient, so synergistic development of the three fields is needed to improve relevant measures and optimize the effects of proactive health on adolescents.
