OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects and potential mechanism of persimmon leaf （PL） extract against ferroptosis induced by H2O2 in IEC-6 cells. METHODS Using IEC-6 cells as object， the effects of ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1 on IEC-6 cell viability induced by H2O2 were investigated； IEC-6 cells were divided into control group， H2O2 group， H2O2+PL 25 μg/mL group and H2O2+PL 50 μg/mL group. The levels of oxidant stress indexes [content of malondialdehyde （MDA）， activity of superoxide dismutase （SOD）， and levels of reactive oxygen species （ROS）]， mitochondrial membrane potential （MMP） as well as mRNA and protein expressions of nuclear factor-erythroid-2 related factor 2 （Nrf2）， heme oxygenase-1 （HO-1）， NADPH/quinone oxidoreductase-1 （NQO-1）， cystine/glutamate anti-porter （xCT）， glutathione peroxidase 4 （GPX4） and ferritin heavy chain （FTH） were detected. RESULTS Ferroptosis inhibitor ferrostatin-1 could significantly increase the survival rate of H2O2-induced cells （P＜ 0.01）. Compared with the control group， MDA content， ROS level， mRNA expressions of Nrf2 and NQO-1 as well as protein expressions of Nrf2 and HO-1 were increased or up-regulated significantly， while SOD activity， MMP， mRNA expressions of xCT， GPX4 and FTH as well as protein expressions of GPX4 and FTH were decreased or down-regulated significantly （P＜0.01 or P＜0.05）. Compared with the H2O2 group， oxidative stress Δ indexes of H2O2+PL 25， 50 μg/mL groups were reversed to different extents， MMP level was increased significantly， as well as mRNA and protein expressions of Nrf2， HO-1， NQO-1，xCT， GPX4 and FTH were up-regulated to different extents；there were statistical significances in some indexes between groups （P＜0.01 or P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS PL extract can alleviate mitochondrial membrane damage and abnormal accumulation of ROS caused by H2O2， which may be related to the inhibition of ferroptosis by activating the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway.

Objective To evaluate the heritability explanation degree of schizophrenia by all known susceptibility variants in schizophrenia. Methods The GWAS catalog of National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) was queried to retrieve all the susceptible gene variations of schizophrenia. Sixty-two variants with risk allele frequency and odds ratio (OR ) were selected from 347 susceptible gene variants of schizophrenia. The heritability explanation degree of each susceptibility variants was calculated using the multifactorial liability threshold model. Results The total heritabili-ty explanation degree of schizophrenia by 62 known susceptible variants was 25.66%. In contrast, 74.34%of heritability, which could not be explained by known susceptibility variants, were then defined as the missing heritability of schizophre-nia. Conclusions The results demonstrate that the heritability explanation degree of schizophrenia by all known suscepti-bility variants in schizophrenia is low, indicating that there may be many unknown schizophrenia molecular genetic mech-anisms need to be further clarified.

Objective To observe the mRNA expressions of endothelin-1(ET-1) and endothelin A/B receptors (ETA/B) in tissue of benign prostatic hyperplasia treated by daily low-dose sildenafil.Methods A total of 32 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia were randomly divided into two groups:treatment(25 mg sildenafi for 12 weeks,n=16) and control (no drug,n=16) groups.Immunohistochemical staining,ELISA and RT-PCR were used to detect the expression levels of ET-1 protein and ET A/B mRNA,respectively.Results The expressions of ET-1 protein and ET A/B mRNA in prostatic tissue were significantly lower in treatment group than in control group[(53.31±18.56) ng/kg vs.(83.34±31.38) ng/kg,0.356±0.056 vs.0.624±0.083,0.721±0.083 vs.0.933±0.905,t=-3.295,10.715,6.937,all P＜0.001].Conclusions Daily low-dose sildenafil can reduce the expressions of ET-1 and ET A/B receptors mRNA in benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Objective To evaluate the effect of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)together with portal vein chemoembolization(PVCE)for the treatment of advanced liver carcinomas.Methods Forty-eight patients with liver carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in study group(n=22)were treated with TACE together with PVCE,and patients in control group(n=26)were treated with TACE alone.Results Based on the postoperative CT findings and AFP levels,the effective rate of the study group was markedly higher than that of control group and the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The volume of un-embolized liver tissue in the patients of study group was obviously increased after treatment. Conclusion TACE together with PVCE is superior to TACE alone in treating advanced hepatic carcinomas.The combination of TACE and PVCE can effectively increase the successful rate of surgical resection for the advanced hepatic carcinomas.

Objective To discuss the clinical application of feeding-artery embolization in treating massive hemoptysis.Methods The feeding-artery angiography was performed in 72 patients with massive hemoptysis.Based on the angiographic findings polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)or spring coil were selected as the embolization materials.The therapeutic results were retrospectively analyzed. Results Hemoptysis was completely controned almost immediately after the embolization procedure in 46 cases,while it was obviously alleviated in 13 cases.In 11 cases the hemoptysis disappeared completely after 2-4 times of embolization treatment,and in 2 cases surgery had to be employed.Conclusion Embolization of feeding-artery with PVA particles or spring coils is an effective and safe treatment for massive hemoptysis.The key point for decreasing reoccurrence is to occlude all feeding.arteries as far as possible.

Objective To analyze the correlation factors affecting DSA picture quality and to investigate the DSA value and effectiveness in hepatic arteriography. Methods 36 cases with liver tumor were analyzed through femoral artery intubatton with Seldinger and had hepatic arteriography with RH catheter. Results In the 192 images of 36 cases,the percentage of first-rate image was 92.7%,the second-rate image (9/192) was 5.3%,the third-rate image (5/192) was 2%. Conclusion All of the second-rate images and the third-rate images which were handled with selective image postprocessing can improve picture quality and can reach diagnosis request.

It is introduced in this paper how to operate the Siemens dBA which is the first domestic one and settle with the problems met in routine work.

Objective To analyze the role of CT scan in the diagnosis of maxilla sinus malignant tumor. Methods Data from CT scan in 17 patients were retrospectively analyzed. All cases were confirmed histologically. Results All cases manifested soft tissue mass in the sinus cavity and sinus wall bone destruction.The tumor could infiltrate out of maxilla sinus through destructive bone or nerve. Conclusion CT scan is an effective examination in diagnosis and evaluation of staging.

Objective To assess the usefulness of the DPF with Store Fluoro for interventional treatment. Methods Store Fluoro were performed in 187 cases and the dose was compared with that not using it. Results The doctor and the patients′ radiology dose and the volume of the contrast were all reduced. Conclusion The Store Fluoro plays an important role in interventional treatment.

Objective 　To discuss the relation of c-FOS proteion expression in lymphocyte to its cellular immune. Methods　To analyze the schizophrenic lymphocyte membrane markers CD+3,CD+4,CD+8 and lymphocyte transforming test, and also examine c-fos protein expression in PBC under SCH serum. Results　The result was that LTT and c-FOS protein were significantly decreased in drug-free, first episode SCH. Conclusions　The c-FOS superexpression may be related to lymphocyte immune depression of SCH.
