Rhythmic auditory stimulation(RAS)with repetitive and rhythmic sound sensory signals can improve motor functional recovery by inducing rhythmic movement for patients with motor dysfunction due to neurological impairment.As an emerging intervention for the treatment of post-stroke hemiplegic patients,RAS can improve the walking ability of post-stroke hemiplegic patients,correct abnormal gait,improve balance function,and improve patients'upper and lower limb function.Its mechanism of action may be related to the rhythmic entrainment motor system and auditory-motor synchronisation.In addition,RAS can be combined with various other rehabilitation techniques to better promote the recovery of motor function in stroke patients.This article reviewed the research progress of RAS in motor function recovery of post-stroke patients to provide guidance for clinical application.

Purpose: Based on a literature review of artificial intelligence (AI) applications within nursing tasks, this study delves into the feasibility of employing AI to improve nursing practice in Korea. Methods: We used "nursing" and "artificial intelligence" as keywords to search academic databases, resulting in 96 relevant studies from an initial pool of 940.After a detailed review, 35 studies were selected for analysis based on nursing process stages. Results: AI improves nursing assessment by enhancing pain diagnosis, fall detection, and movement monitoring in older adults. It aids nursing diagnosis through clinical decision support, risk prediction, and emergency patient triage. Further, it expedites the creation of precise plans utilizing predictive models in nursing planning. AI also forecasts medication errors and reduces the nursing documentation burden for nursing implementation. Additionally, it manages (re)hospitalization risks by assessing patient risk and prognoses in nursing evaluation. Conclusion AI in Korean nursing can enhance assessment and diagnosis accuracy, promote a prevention-focused paradigm through risk prediction, and ease the burden of nursing practice amidst human resource shortages.

The methylglyoxal (MGO) trapping constituents from Malus baccata L. were investigated using incubation of MGO and crude extract under physiological conditions followed by HPLC analysis. The peak areas of MGO trapping compounds decreased, and their chemical structures were identified by HPLC-ESI/MS. Sieboldin was identified as a major active molecule representing MGO-trapping activity of the crude extract. After reaction of sieboldin and MGO, remaining MGO was calculated by microplate assay method using imine (Schiff base) formation of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) and aldehyde group. After 4 h incubation, sieboldin trapped over 43.8% MGO at a concentration of 0.33 mM and showed MGO scavenging activity with an RC 50 value of 0.88 mM for the incubation of 30 min under physiological conditions. It was also confirmed that sieboldin inhibited the production of advanced glycation end products (AGE) produced by bovine serum albumins (BSA)/MGO. Additionally, MGO trapping mechanism of sieboldin was more specifically identified by 1 H-, 13 C-, 2D NMR and, confirm to be attached to the position of C-3' (or 5').

BACKGROUND: Secukinumab demonstrated sustained efficacy in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) through 5 years in pivotal Phase III studies. Here, we present efficacy and safety results (52-week) of secukinumab in patients with AS from the MEASURE 5 study. METHODS: MEASURE 5 was a 52-week, Phase III, China-centric study. Eligible patients were randomly assigned (2:1) to receive subcutaneous secukinumab 150 mg or placebo weekly for the first five doses and then once every 4 weeks (q4w). All placebo patients switched to secukinumab 150 mg q4w starting at Week 16. Primary endpoint was Assessments of SpondyloArthritis international Society (ASAS) 20 at Week 16. Randomization was stratified by region (China vs. non-China). RESULTS: Of 458 patients (secukinumab 150 mg, N = 305; placebo, N = 153) randomized, 327 (71.4%) were from China and 131 (28.6%) were not from China. Of these, 97.7% and 97.4% patients completed Week 16 and 91.1% and 95.3% (placebo-secukinumab) patients completed Week 52 of treatment. The primary endpoint was met; secukinumab significantly improved ASAS20 response at Week 16 vs. placebo (58.4% vs. 36.6%; P < 0.0001); corresponding rate in the Chinese population was 56.0% vs. 38.5% (P < 0.01). All secondary efficacy endpoints significantly improved with secukinumab 150 mg in the overall population at Week 16; responses were maintained with a trend toward increased efficacy from Week 16 to 52. No new or unexpected safety signals were reported up to Week 52. CONCLUSIONS: Secukinumab 150 mg demonstrated rapid and significant improvement in signs and symptoms of AS. Secukinumab was well tolerated and the safety profile was consistent with previous reports. Efficacy and safety results were comparable between the overall and Chinese populations. Formula granule of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been characterized as a safe medication with the advantages of accurate dosage and easy to carry.In this study,references over current status of the development of TCM formula granule were retrieved,so were those of the market situation and its application to intelligent pharmacy of TCM.Then the key problems restricting the development of the application of TCM granules were discussed,in hope of providing a reference for the development and its application to the intelligent pharmacy of TCM.

BACKGROUND:Stem cel is a kind of pluripotent cels with self-replication ability, which can differentiate into various cels under certain conditions. Furthermore, stem cels are rich in a variety of growth factors, which can induce the generation of vessels and nerves, and improve the blood supply of lower limbs, thereby achieving the treatment and preventions of lower limb ischemia OBJECTIVE:To summarize and compare the recent achievements in the theory and therapeutic efficacy of stem cels from different sources in the treatment of diabetic foot. METHODS:The first and second authors retrieved PubMed, Sciencedirect and Medline databases for relevant articles published from January 2000 to January 2015. The key words were “diabetic foot, pathogenesis, stem cel therapy” in English. Initialy, 186 articles were retrieved, and finaly 44 articles were included in result analysis. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Stem cels can be a new choice for the treatment of diabetic foot. After stem cel therapy, corresponding symptoms have been aleviated, including the generation of new blood vessels and the reshaping of the colateral vessels, the improvement of motor nerve conduction velocity and nerve reflex, the improvement of the sense of skin pain and temperature, and pain relief. It is stil unclear whether alogeneic stem cels are safe or not, but autologous stem cels, especialy bone marrow mesenchymal stem cels, can be better able to repair damaged vessels and nerves and restore the microcirculation of blood supply. Currently, we need to do more basic and clinical researches to solve the folowing problems: to confirm the effectiveness and safety of stem cel therapy for diabetic foot; to identify whether there is a difference in the differentiation and secretory activity between stem cels in diabetic patients and ordinary people; to give ful play to the treatment of diabetic foot.

Objective To evaluate the effect of parathyroid hormone (PTH) on the expression of connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) in human renal tubular epithelial cells, and to explore the role of MAPK signaling pathway. Methods Real time RT-PCR, Western blot, and reporter gene assay were employed to detect PTH-induced CTGF expression in HK-2 cells. Inhibitors (PD98059 and U0126) of MAPK signaling pathway were used to confirm involved signal pathway. Results HK-2 cells had basic expression level of CTGF mRNA and protein, which were increased significantly after treatment with PTH. The luciferase activity was up-regulated to a higher level as compared with control group after treatment with 10-10 mol/L PTH for 12 h [(1.8884±0.0780) vs (0.9891±0.0300) A, P<0.01]. Moreover, a small amount of p-ERK1/2 was detected in normal HK-2 cells, but it was increased significantly in response to PTH activation, most remarkably when treated with 10-10 mol/L PTH for 30 min. Inhibitors of MAPK signaling pathway, PD98059 and U0126, noticeably inhibited the expression of CTGF mRNA and protein as well as gene promoters in HK-2 cells. Conclusion PTH can induce higher expression of CTGF in HK-2 cells probably via MAPK signaling pathway.

OBJECTIVE: To standardize the management on test of hospital preparations to ensure the quality of preparations. METHODS: The Access database and Word application of in Microsoft Office automatic groupware were integrated organically using VBA programming, and the data management system suitable for hospital preparation test was designed. RESULTS: The print files of various primary records and reports related to testing work exhibited beautiful page and uniformed format. Testing data of preparations were included into data base by computer recording, which facilitated data inquiry and data processing related to quality of hospital preparations. CONCLUSION: Due to this system, both the efficiency and quality of hospital preparation test work have been enhanced, which contributes to institutionalization and standardization of hospital preparation work.

OBJECTIVE:To analyze one case of pericardial pain induced by drug combination of omeprazole so as to provide reference for drug combination in the clinic. METHODS:A 79-year-old male patient was admitted because of stage Ⅲ hypertension,coronary heart disease,acute attack of chronic bronchitis in Dec. 2 of 2009. He was treated with omeprazole and pericardial pain was observed during treatment. ADR caused by omeprazole were put forward in the clinic. RESULTS & CONCLUSION: Omeprazole combined with other drugs can easily cause ADR for example,pericardial pain. The universality of ADR induced by drug combination of omeprazole should be further confirmed because of limited sample.
