Journal of Prevention and Treatment for Stomatological Diseases 2025;33(2):137-144
Objective :
To explore the advantages of static navigation in locating calcified root canal therapy, and to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of calcified teeth.
Methods:
A case of acute periapical periodontitis of anterior teeth with full-length calcification of root canal was reported. A lingual minimally invasive approach was used as a conservative method of controlling the infection of teeth and preserving the incisors through the digital guide plate. The diagnosis and treatment of this type of case were analyzed retrospectively with reference to the literature.
Results:
One patient complained that the pain of left anterior teeth was aggravated for 2 days. After examination, he was diagnosed with acute periapical periodontitis of 21 teeth with total root canal calcification. With the assistance of static navigation, the root canal was located after 10 minutes, the calcification was dredged for 15 minutes, and the acute pain symptoms of the patient were relieved that day. After one year of follow-up, there was no discomfort in the teeth, and the range of low-density shadow in the apical film was reduced. After 3 years of follow-up, there was no discomfort in the teeth, and the low-density shadow of the apical root was further reduced by apical film examination. As shown by the results of the literature review, static navigation technology is advantageous because the success rate of dredging calcified root canals is neither associated with the operator’s treatment experience nor the use of microscope and ultrasonic equipment. Regardless of the degree of calcification, this method can significantly reduce the iatrogenic risk, but it is closely related to the accuracy and stability of the guide plate. However, this method is not suitable for calcified teeth with calcification under root canal curvature and limited operating space. Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is recommended to locate calcified root canals, and the imaging quality is an important factor that affects the correct preoperative planning. When performing static navigation endodontic treatment, thermal damage can be reduced by selecting a drill with a small diameter that matches the guide ring and cooling the drill with frozen irrigation solution.
Conclusion
Static navigation-assisted treatment of calcified root canals is accurate and minimally invasive, which reduces clinical treatment time, preserves the lingual approach at the incisal ridge to further ensure the integrity of teeth, and ensures the long-term preservation of affected teeth.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(5):728-731
Objective:
To analyze the potential categories and influencing factors of the compliance trajectory of orthokeratology lenses (OK lens) in myopic children and adolescents, so as to provide a basis for dynamic and accurate intervention of OK lens compliance in myopic children and adolescents.
Methods:
From January to June 2024, 310 myopic children and adolescents wearing OK lens were selected as research subjects from the Ophthalmology Medical Center of Cangzhou Central Hospital using a convenient sampling method. Data were collected at four time points: when the glasses were first fitted (T0), 2 weeks after fitting (T1), 1 month later (T2), 3 months later (T3), and 6 months later (T4). The data collection methods included general information questionnaires, compliance surveys for OK lens wearers, the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function-Self-report Version (BRIEF-SR), family support scales, and a self-made questionnaire on myopia control attitudes. A growth mixed model was used to identify the trajectory categories of compliance with OK lens wearing among myopic children and adolescents, and multiple Logistic regression analysis was employed to examine the influencing factors.
Results:
The compliance with OK lens among myopic children and adolescents were roughly divided into four developmental trajectories: C1 exemplary adherent (58 cases, 18.71%), C2 gradual progressor (130 cases, 41.94%), C3 fluctuating (85 cases, 27.42%), and C4 stubborn low follower (37 cases, 11.94%). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that, with C1 group as the reference, age (C3, OR = 0.74 ), parental education level (C4, OR =0.67), executive function (C2, OR =0.69; C4, OR =0.44), family support (C3, OR =0.75) and myopia control attitude (C2, OR =0.39) were all influencing factors for the compliance trajectory of OK lens; with C2 group as the reference, age (C3, OR = 0.55 ), parental education level (C3, OR =0.34; C4, OR =0.64), executive function (C3, OR =0.77), and family support (C4, OR =0.58) were all influencing factors for the compliance trajectory of OK lens; with C3 group as the reference, age (C4, OR = 0.68 ), and myopia control attitude (C4, OR =0.44) were both influencing factors for the compliance trajectory of OK lens ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
The compliance of wearing OK lens in children and adolescents with myopia can be roughly divided into four trajectories, and there is group heterogeneity. Dynamic and precise compliance intervention strategies should be given based on different trajectories and influencing factors.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2024;40(6):690-697
Based on the principle of selective photothermodynamics, specific laser can be selectively absorbed by melanin particles in the hair follicles, resulting in a photothermal effect, through which hairball and hair follicle stem cells are completely destroyed, rendering permanent hair removal. Laser and light technology have the characteristics of convenience, efficiency, safety and permanent effect. Since its application in the reconstruction of the outer ear, it has helped solve the problem of residual hair and improve the shape of the auricle and the satisfaction of patients. The authors reviewed the laser types, treatment parameters, timing and interval, as well as related complications and corresponding treatment measures.

Objectives:To evaluate the clinical value of the Paris system for reporting urinary cytology (TPS) in the diagnosis of urothelial carcinoma (UC).Methods:A total of 1 744 cytological diagnostic records (from 751 cases) were collected retrospectively. All specimens were voided urines and histopathology as the gold standard. The sensitivity and specificity of urinary cytological diagnosis of UC and risk of high grade malignant (ROHM) in each diagnostic category were compared. Results:There were 360 cases with histopathology. The percentage of negative for high-grade urothelial carcinoma (NHGUC) was 30.1% (226/751), atypical urothelial cells (AUC) was 29.8% (224/751), suspicious for high-grade urothelial carcinoma (SHGUC) was 16.8% (126/751), high grade urothelial carcinoma (HGUC) was 21.2% (159/751), and non-urothelial malignancy (NUM) was 2.1% (16/751). The histpathologic ROHM corresponding to each cytological diagnosis category were 27.3% for NHGUC, 32.7% for AUC, 74.7% for SHGUC, 96.6% for HGUC and 100.0% for NUM, respectively. ROHM of SHGUC was significantly higher than that of AUC group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( P<0.001). ROHM of HGUC group was significantly higher than that of SHGUC group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.001). With SHGUC as the cut-off value, the sensitivity and specificity of cytological diagnosis of HGUC were 76.7% (165/215) and 85.7% (18/21), and with HGUC as the cut-off value, the sensitivity and specificity of cytological diagnosis of HGUC were 53.0% (114/215) and 100.0% (21/21), respectively. Conclusions:Urine cytology has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of HGUC. The malignant risk of TPS varies with different diagnosis category. The high malignant risk population in cancer hospital leads to the relatively high malignant proportion and ROHM in each diagnosis category. Urinary cytology TPS reporting system is helpful to clinical management and has good clinical application value.

Chinese Journal of Pathology 2024;53(2):109-115
The pathological classification and diagnostic criteria for lung neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) in the 2021 World Health Organization (WHO) lung tumor classification are similar to the prior classifications. However, the advances on the molecular studies of lung NENs have shown that both small cell lung carcinoma and large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma are highly heterogeneous tumors with neuroendocrine characteristics and can be subclassified based on the features of genomics or transcriptomics, which are valuable in the diagnosis of lung NENs subtypes and patient treatment. In addition, it is necessary to interpret emerging concepts such as "lung neuroendocrine tumor G3" and "histological transformation" from pathological perspectives, as well as to know the novel neuroendocrine biomarkers such as INSM1 and POU2F3. This article summarized the diagnostic changes and the advances of molecular pathology of lung NENs based on the latest WHO classification and molecular research.

Objective:To investigate the early and mid-term outcomes of aortic endovascular remodeling device (AERD) for Stanford type A aortic dissection (TAAD) in type Ⅱhybrid surgery, and to evaluate its clinical efficacy.Methods:46 patients with TAAD, including 14 females and 32 males, participated in the single-center clinical trial of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and underwent type II hybrid surgery (Bentall / ascending aorta replacement + AERD implantation) from February 2021 to October 2023. The safety and efficacy of AERD in type Ⅱ hybrid surgery for TAAD were estimated by clinical indicators (postoperative mortality, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents, paraplegia, ischemia), and blood flow condition (volume of the true and false lumen, and suprachial branches). Results:Three patients (6.52%) died during the follow-up period, and the operation-related mortality was 4.35% (2/46). The remaining 43 patients were followed up for an average of (25.53±9.60) months. There were two cases (4.35%) of stroke after the operation, and paraplegia, acute renal insufficiency, and other severe complications were not noticed. The blood flow of the superior branch of the aortic arch was unobstructed, and there was no significant difference in the blood flow of the branch before the operation and at each follow-up time point. Compared to the pre-operation, the true lumen volume of the stent part increased by 59.0% and the false lumen volume decreased by 82.4%.Conclusion:AERD is a safe and effective alternative in type II hybrid surgery for acute TAAD, which is helpful in improving perioperative and short- and long-term survival rates and clinical outcomes.
