ObjectiveTo investigate the present situation of input, output, outcome and impact of all registered community-based rehabilitation stations in Inner Mongolia in China, and analyze how the input predict the output, outcome and impact. MethodsFrom March 1st to April 30th, 2025, a questionnaire survey was conducted on all registered community-based rehabilitation stations in Inner Mongolia, covering four dimensions: input, output, outcome and impact. A total of 1 365 questionnaires were distributed. The input included four items: laws and policies, human resources, equipment and facilities, and rehabilitation information management. The output included two items: technical paths and benefits/effectiveness. The outcome included three items: coverage rates, rehabilitation interventions and functional results. The impact included two items: health and sustainability. Each item contained several questions, all of which were described in a positive way. Each question was scored from one to five. A lower score indicated that the situation of the community-based rehabilitation station was more in line with the content described in the question. Regression analysis was performed using the total score of each item of input dimension as independent variables, and the total scores of the output, outcome and impact dimensions as dependent variables. ResultsA total of 1 262 valid questionnaires were collected. The mean values of input, output, outcome and impact of community-based rehabilitation stations were 1.827 to 1.904, with coefficient of variation of 45.892% to 49.239%. The regression analysis showed that, rehabilitation information management, human resources, and laws and policies significantly predicted the output dimension (R² = 0.910, P < 0.001). Meanwhile, all four items in the input dimension predicted both the outcome (R² = 0.850, P < 0.001) and impact dimensions (R² = 0.833, P < 0.001). ConclusionInput, output, outcome and impact of the community-based rehabilitation stations in Inner Mongolia were generally in line with the content of the questions, although some imbalances were observed. Additionally, the input of community-based rehabilitation stations could significantly predict their output, outcome and impact.

Background Diseases severely affect the efficiency of workers. Comorbidity refers to the coexistence of two or more chronic diseases or health problems in the same individual. Previous studies have primarily focused on occupational injuries caused by environmental exposures, while the analysis of the epidemiological characteristics of self-reported diseases and occupational injuries among manufacturing workers has been insufficient. Objective To analyze the distribution of self-reported diseases and occupational injuries among manufacturing workers, the strength of correlation between different diseases, and common disease combinations, and to preliminarily explore the relationship between self-reported diseases and occupational injuries. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted to investigate the occupational injuries of 2382 workers in 2 manufacturing enterprises over the past year, and 2355 questionnaires were valid after cleaning. The questionnaire included three parts: basic information, occupational injury occurrence, and disease prevalence. The self-reported diseases diagnosed by physicians included musculoskeletal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, mental health problems, neurological and sensory organ diseases, digestive organ diseases, reproductive and urinary organ diseases, skin diseases, tumors, endocrine and metabolic system diseases, blood diseases and birth defects, a total of 11 types. Log-binomial model was used to calculate the prevalence ratio (PR) value of the association between different diseases, and UpSet diagram was used to present the disease combination pattern. Results In total, 40.2% (946/2355) of the study participants reported at least one disease, while 8.6% (203/2355), 5.2% (122/2355), and 5.9% (140/2355) reported having two, three, and four or more diseases, respectively. A higher prevalence was observed for musculoskeletal diseases, neurological and sensory organ diseases, digestive organ diseases, and skin diseases, which accounted for 18.0% (423/2355), 13.8% (324/2355), 9.3% (218/2355), and 9.1% (214/2355), respectively. Workers with musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, or neurological and sensory organ diseases reported significantly higher incidence of occupational injuries compared with workers without the corresponding diseases (P<0.001, P=0.041, and P=0.006, respectively). Musculoskeletal diseases were strongly associated with comorbidities of neurological and sensory organ diseases (PR values were 1.86 and 1.98, respectively), and the other patters were musculoskeletal diseases and digestive organ diseases (PR and OR values were 1.57 and 2.35, respectively), and musculoskeletal diseases and cardiovascular diseases (PR and OR values were 1.46 and 2.22, respectively). The largest binomial comorbidity group involved musculoskeletal diseases and neurological and sensory organ diseases, accounting for 5.4% (25/465) of the comorbid workers. Conclusion Among the self-reported diseases of manufacturing workers, musculoskeletal diseases, neurological and sensory organ diseases, digestive organ diseases, and skin diseases are more common. Musculoskeletal diseases and neurological and sensory organ diseases are the most common in all comorbidities. Musculoskeletal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological and sensory organ diseases are associated with occupational injuries. In the prevention and control of occupational injuries, joint prevention strategies targeting multiple diseases should be strengthened.

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSC) in rats with primary graft dysfunction after lung transplantation. Methods Twenty-four male Lewis rats were randomly divided into donor and recipient groups, with 12 rats in each group. The recipients were further divided into 3 groups: blank control group, negative control group, and treatment group, with 4 rats in each group. The color, size and texture of the transplanted lungs were observed 72 h after lung transplantation. The ventilation status and progression of consolidation in the transplant lungs of rats in each group were evaluated by micro-CT. Plasma, transplant lung tissue and alveolar lavage fluid samples of recipient rats were collected. The wet/dry ratio of lung tissue was measured to evaluate the degree of pulmonary edema. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to evaluate the degree of lung tissue damage. Terminal deoxyribonucleic acid transferase mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) staining was used to evaluate cell apoptosis. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity in lung tissue was detected, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect interleukin (IL)-6, IL-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α levels in plasma and alveolar lavage fluid. Results The appearance of the transplant lungs in the negative control group was significantly different from that of the autologous lungs, while the transplant lungs in the treatment group were almost identical in color to the autologous lungs compared to the blank control group. Compared with the negative control group, the treatment group showed reduced alveolar exudate and more intact airway epithelial cell structure. No alveolar exudate was observed in the blank control group, and the structure of the airways and alveoli remained normal. The treatment group had lower apoptosis rate of airway epithelial cells, lung tissue wet/dry ratio, and MPO activity compared to the negative control group (all P < 0.05). The levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of the treatment group were lower than those in the negative control group, while the level of IL-10 was higher than that in the negative control group and the blank control group (all P < 0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the levels of cytokines in plasma among each group (all P > 0.05). Conclusions UC-MSC may effectively alleviate the severity of primary graft dysfunction in rats by reducing the apoptosis rate of cells in lung tissue and inhibiting inflammatory responses.

With the development of science and technology, electronic devices have become an inevitable part of our daily life and work. There has been an increase of interest in the use of various video display terminals(VDT). The ocular surface is the first barrier of the visual system to resist the damage of the external environment. In recent years, the number of patients with dry eye has consistently increased with the excessive use of VDT. Blue light produced by VDT, with wavelengths ranging from 400 to 500 nm, has a high energy in visible light. Therefore, blue light may also be an important risk factor for dry eye. In particular, the outbreak of COVID-19 has left people worldwide suffering from increased blue light, which promotes further research into dry eye caused by blue light emitted from VDT. In this review, we summarize the recent studies on the role of blue light produced by VDT in dry eye to provide reference for future related research.

Background When live working line operators engage in upper limb operations, working for a long time with raising arms and the exposure to adverse ergonomic factors tend to increase muscle load, cause fatigue accumulation, and increase the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs). Objective To analyze work posture and associated muscle fatigue during executing breaking/connecting contact terminal, and identify adverse ergonomic factors of the work process. Methods This study recruited 10 volunteers to perform breaking/connecting contact terminal simulation. At a distance of 4.5, 3.5, and 2.5 m from the body to the wire, each performed the task 5 times. Visual 3D was used to analyze the kinematic data from motion capture. The surface electromyography (sEMG) signals of the deltoid, biceps, triceps, and brachioradialis were recorded during the simulation and analyzed for muscle fatigue using root mean square (RMS), median frequency (MF), and jointed EMG amplitude and spectrum analysis (JASA). After completion of each task, Borg scale was used to query the volunteers of their subjective fatigue. A 2-min rest was required between each distance. Results The kinematic data from motion capture showed that in the entire process of the task, the right upper limb was higher when lifting, with the right shoulder joint maintaining flexion and fluctuating periodically between abduction and adduction, external and internal rotation, the right elbow joint maintaining flexion and supination. The frequency of task cycle showed a significant effect on the Borg scale scores (P<0.001, partial \begin{document}$ {\eta }^{2} $\end{document}=0.464); the distance showed no significant effect on the Borg scale scores (P>0.05, partial \begin{document}$ {\eta }^{2} $\end{document}=0.002); their interaction effect was not significant (P>0.05, partial \begin{document}$ {\eta }^{2} $\end{document}=0.020). The results of the sEMG signals showed that at a distance of 4.5 m, the volunteers had the highest percentages of maximal voluntary electrical activation (MVE%) in the deltoid and right brachioradialis and the lowest MF values in the deltoid and left brachioradialis after completing 5 task cycles. The results of JASA showed that fatigue was observed in brachioradialis and deltoid after completing 5 task cycles at a distance of 4.5 m, the right deltoid and right brachioradialis at a distance of 3.5 m, in the brachioradialis, deltoid, and left bicep at a distance of 2.5 m. Conclusion The subjective fatigue of workers who engaged in breaking/connecting contact terminal elevates with more repetitive operations. Based on the sEMG and motion capture analysis, it can be found that improper distance between the workers and the target work area can increase the burden from poor posture and improper use of work equipment, and lead to muscle fatigue; the deltoid and brachioradialis are the key muscles of fatigue in this type of operation; changing the angle of the elbow joint and the shoulder joint during the process of the operation can affect the deltoid and brachioradialis exertion and loading.

Background Power grid is an important component of the national infrastructure. The occupational health issues among the workers in this industry are attracting great concern nationwide. Objective To investigate the prevalence of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) in neck and shoulder among the power distribution workers of power supply enterprises, and analyze the related influencing factors. Method In April 2023, a total of 1244 workers in 50 municipal power supply bureaus were randomly selected from the three provinces under China Southern Power Grid using cluster sampling method. The questionnaire used in the study was based on a revised Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire and added ergonomic load of upper limb work. \begin{document}$ {\chi }^{2} $\end{document} test and logistic regression model were used to explore the influencing factors of neck pain and shoulder pain among the subjects. Results A total of 1244 valid questionnaires were recovered and the effective recovery rate was 90.87%(1244/1369). The positive rates of neck pain and shoulder pain were 45.5% (566 cases) and 36.3% (452 cases) respectively. The logistic regression analysis results showed that more than 20 years working age (OR=2.27, 95%CI: 1.39, 3.96; OR=2.56, 95%CI: 1.53, 4.26), often (OR=2.08, 95%CI: 1.35, 3.20; OR=2.40, 95%CI: 1.50, 3.58)/quite often (OR=2.96, 95%CI: 1.73, 5.04; OR=2.72, 95%CI: 1.49, 4.94) maintaining a forced posture, and working immediately after break (OR=1.72, 95%CI: 1.04, 2.85; OR=2.14, 95%CI: 1.19, 3.88) were associated with a higher positive rate of neck pain and shoulder pain respectively. Feeling sufficient rest (OR=0.61, 95%CI: 0.47, 0.80; OR=0.63, 95%CI: 0.50, 0.83) and opportunity to decide when to take breaks (OR=0.72, 95%CI: 0.53, 0.98; OR=0.62, 95%CI: 0.41, 0.93) were associated with a lower positive rate of neck pain and shoulder pain respectively. Conclusion The positive rates of neck pain and shoulder pain are high among power distribution workers. The main influencing factors included long working age, quite often maintaining a forced posture, and working immediately after break.

ObjectiveTo explore the distribution and evolution patterns of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndromes and syndrome elements in psoriasis vulgaris （PV）. MethodsLiterature related to TCM syndromes of PV published in databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI）， Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform （Wanfang）， VIP Chinese Technology Periodical Database （VIP）， Chinese Biomedical Literature Database （CBM）， PubMed， Embase， and Web of Science from their inception to December 31， 2023， was retrieved. Statistical analysis was conducted on the distribution of TCM syndromes and syndrome elements in the included studies. The data were further categorized into five-year periods to analyze the dynamic changes in syndromes and syndrome elements over time. ResultsA total of 2,853 studies were included， with 5,896 syndrome occurrences. The most common TCM syndromes in PV were blood-heat syndrome （2,167 occurrences， 36.75%）， blood-stasis syndrome （1,219 occurrences， 20.68%）， blood-dryness syndrome （1,124 occurrences， 19.06%）， and damp-heat syndrome （263 occurrences， 4.46%）. The most frequent syndrome categories included blood syndromes （4,680 occurrences， 79.38%） and dampness syndromes （347 occurrences， 5.89%）. The most common syndrome elements related to disease location were blood division （4,874 occurrences， 94.38%） and spleen （99 occurrences， 1.92%）. The most common syndrome elements related to disease nature were blood-heat （2,213 occurrences， 25.96%）， blood-dryness （1,434 occurrences， 16.82%）， and blood-stasis （1,330 occurrences， 15.60%）. Except for the period 1978-1983， blood-heat， blood-stasis， and blood-dryness syndromes consistently ranked among the top three， with their combined proportion showing an overall upward trend （from 67.65% to 81.69%）. The proportion of spleen deficiency with damp obstruction syndrome also increased （from 0.24% to 1.46%）. In terms of syndrome classification， the proportion of blood syndromes showed an overall upward trend （from 67.65% to 83.46%）， ranking first in all periods. The proportion of dampness syndromes showed a general downward trend （from 17.65% to 4.54%）， ranking second after blood syndromes in most periods except for 1994-1998 and 1999-2003. The proportion of spleen-related syndromes showed an overall increase （from 0.24% to 1.85%）. Regarding disease location elements， the proportion of blood division remained stable above 90%， while the proportion of spleen involvement increased （from 0.68% to 3.23%）. As for disease nature elements， blood-heat （from 19.23% to 33.27%） and blood-stasis （from 1.92% to 20.83%） significantly increased， while dampness initially decreased and then slightly increased （from 11.54% to 5.73%）. ConclusionIn the distribution of PV-related TCM syndromes， blood-heat， blood-stasis， and blood-dryness syndromes are the most common. Blood syndromes dominate syndrome classification， with disease location primarily in the blood division and disease nature characterized by blood-heat， blood-stasis， and blood-dryness. Evolutionary trends indicate that blood-heat， blood-stasis， and blood-dryness syndromes remain predominant and are increasing in proportion， while spleen deficiency with damp obstruction syndrome is also rising. Among syndrome classifications， the proportion of blood syndromes is increasing， dampness syndromes are decreasing， and spleen-related syndromes are on the rise. In terms of syndrome elements， blood division remains dominant， while spleen involvement is increasing. The proportion of blood-heat and blood-stasis is significantly increasing， while dampness first declines and then slightly rebounds. Overall， the mainstream TCM perspective of treating PV based on blood differentiation remains unchanged， with syndrome distribution focusing on blood division. The increasing importance of spleen deficiency and dampness in disease pathogenesis represents a new trend.

Background Unhealthy lifestyle behaviors may be associated with an increased risk of cardiometabolic risk factor aggregation (CMRF≥ 2), and few studies have focused on the correlation between the two in occupational populations. Objective To investigate the current status of CMRF≥2 and the compliance of healthy lifestyle in male occupational personnel, explore the effect of lifestyle on cardiometabolic risk, and provide reference for formulating healthy behavior promotion strategies and reducing cardiometabolic risk in occupational populations. Methods The study subjects were selected from male workers who completed occupational health examinations at an occupational disease prevention and control hospital in Shanxi Province from May to December 2023, and 15125 study subjects aged 18−60 years were finally included according to pre-determined inclusion and exclusion criteria. All subjects received a series of assessments including questionnaires (basic information, lifestyle habits, and occupational factors), physical examination, laboratory tests, and six cardiometabolic risk factors (central obesity, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, hypertriglyceridemia, low-density lipoprotein cholesterolemia, and hyperuricemia). A healthy lifestyle score was calculated based on six behavioral factors (smoking, drinking, physical activity, diet, sleep, sedentary behavior) and 1 point for one positive healthy behavior. The enrolled workers were then divided into three groups according to their total scores: 0−1 points (poor group), 2−3 points (moderate group), and 4−6 points (good group). Logistic regression models were used to analyze the statistical associations between lifestyle and CMRF≥2. Results The median age of the 15125 male study participants was 40 years, and the positive rate of CMRF≥2 was 53.5%. Adherence to moderate alcohol consumption was the most compliant healthy behavior (79.4%), followed by current non-smoking (41.7%), while adherence to adequate sedentary behavior (23.6%) and healthy eating (21.1%) were relatively low, and only 17.4% were able to adhere to four or more healthy lifestyle behaviors. After adjusting for confounders, when compared with the poor group high lifestyle score was found to be a protective factor for CMRF≥2 (moderate group: OR=0.70, 95%CI: 0.63, 0.77; good group: OR=0.66, 95%CI: 0.58, 0.75). In stratified analyses across different job types (coal miners, auxiliary workers, ground workers, and others), occupational stress (with or without), shift patterns (day shift, night shift, or rotating shift), dust exposure (with or without), and noise exposure (with or without), individuals with higher lifestyle scores exhibited a consistently lower risk of CMRF≥2. There was an interaction between shift pattern and lifestyle on CMRF≥2 (P_interaction<0.05). Conclusion This occupational group has a high positive rate of CMRF≥2 and a high prevalence of poor lifestyles with low adherence to some healthy behaviors. High healthy lifestyle scores are associated with a lower risk of aggregation of cardiometabolic risk factors, which may be reduced through lifestyle interventions.

With technological advancement and the growing demand for renewable energy, research and applications of new energy materials are becoming increasingly widespread. Typical new energy materials include lithium-ion battery materials, nanomaterials, nuclear energy materials and magnetic materials, etc., each of which has special toxicological characteristics. These materials may pose potential toxicological risks in the process of resource exploitation, production, transportation, usage, recycling or disposal, which have negatively impact on human health and the ecological environment. Occupational exposure is the main route of energy materials exposure, with potential health hazards on workers during the processes of production, transportation, recycling, and disposal. Among them, the disassembled batteries in the recycling or waste disposal process requires quality control, which is the high-risk position of occupational hazards. At present, the toxicology study of typical new energy materials mainly focuses on the potential impact of lithium-ion battery materials and nanomaterials on human health and the environment, but there are still limitations and challenges. In the future, it is necessary to further strengthen the human health risk management and prevention and control of new energy materials to protect human health and sustainable development.

To guide transfusion practice in critically ill children who often need plasma and platelet transfusions, the Transfusion and Anemia Expertise Initiative-Control/Avoidance of Bleeding (TAXI-CAB) developed Recommendations and Expert Consensus for Plasma and Platelet Transfusion Practice in Critically Ill Children. This guideline addresses 53 recommendations related to plasma and platelet transfusion in critically ill children with 8 kinds of diseases, laboratory testing, selection/treatment of plasma and platelet components, and research priorities. This paper introduces the specific methods and results of the recommendation formation of the guideline.
