Objective:To construct a novel respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine based on a recombinant influenza virus vector and evaluate its immune protective effects in mice. Methods:A recombinant H1N1 influenza A virus (IAV) expressing the extracellular domain (Gecto) of RSV A2 G protein was constructed and rescued, named as PR8NAGecto/WSN. After in vitro verification of the Gecto expression and PR8NAGecto/WSN growth kinetics, a single dose of PR8NAGecto/WSN was used to immunize BALB/c mice through intranasal administration to evaluate the efficacy of PR8NAGecto/WSN by assessing humoral (IgG, neutralizing antibody), mucosal (IgA) and cellular immunity (IFN-γ ELISPOT). Four weeks after immunization, the mice were challenged with RSV A2 or RSV B9320 to evaluate the protective effects of PR8NAGecto/WSN by analyzing mouse body weight changes, lung tissue virus titers and pathological changes. Results:A single-dose intranasal immunization with PR8NAGecto/WSN induced robust humoral, mucosal and cellular immunity in mice. Moreover, the mice in the immunized group had lower lung virus loads and mild lung pathological damages following the challenge with RSV A or RSV B subtype as compared with the control group. Conclusions:A single-dose intranasal immunization with PR8NAGecto/WSN induces robust immunity and provide protection against RSV A and B challenges in mice. This study provides new ideas and reference for the development of novel mucosal vaccines against RSV.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of focused radiofrequency in facial wrinkle and laxity. Methods:Seventeen female patients (47.71±1.56 years of age) were involved in our study during January to June 2018, treated with focused radiofrequency on the whole face. The treatments were performed monthly for three consecutive months. Their photographs were taken before treatment and one week after the last treatment, and then the wrinkle severity rating scale (WSRS) and global aesthetic improvement scale (GAIS) were evaulated. Results:After three times' treatment, the wrinkle was improved, WSRS of 1 week after the last treatment (2.71±0.47) was much lower than the baseline (3.00±0.79) ( P<0.05). 88.24% patients were satisfied with the improvement. There was no severe adverse effects during this whole procedure. Conclusions:Focused radiofrequency therapy for facial wrinkle and laxity is effective and safe.

Schizophrenia is a chronic devastating psychiatric disorder, which severely damages pub-lic mental health. The pathophysiological mechanism of schizophrenia is complex and the etiology of schizo-phrenia is still unclear. Epidemiological study, twins study and family study show that genetic factors play a substantial part in the process of schizophrenia. Previous research indicates that there is a close association between microRNA-137 and schizophrenia, and that the ablation of microRNA-137 significantly affects clini-cal symptoms and prognosis of patients with schizophrenia. So it highlights the relationship between microR-NA-137 and schizophrenia, which reveals its special role in the etiological mechanism of schizophrenia, and may provides new perspective about the treatment of patients in schizophrenia.

Objectivde To explore the efficacy of i-GMS applied to the diabetes patient outside the hospital. Methods Totally 80 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were divided into an experiment group (Group A) and a control group (Group B).Group A executed blood glucose monitoring by Glucose Management App and intelligent blood glucose meter (personal version),and Group B completed monitoring by some portable blood glucose meter.Telephone follow-up was performed once a week, and the two groups were compared on glycated albumin (GA) value 3 weeks after discharging, values of HbA1c,FPG and PG2h 3 months after, the times of blood glucose monitoring and hypoglycaemia as well as the patient satisfaction over the glucose management. Results Group A had the values of GA,HbA1c,FPG and PG2h significantly lower than those of Group B (P< 0.05).The times of glucose monitoring and patient satisfaction in Group A were statistically higher than those of Group B,while the incidence rate of hypoglycaemia of the former was lower than that of the latter (P<0.05).Conclusion I-GMS proves efficient when used for glucose self monitoring and management of the type 2 diabetes mellitus patient.

Objective:To establish the quality standard for Herba Euphorbia esulae. Methods:A TLC method was used to identify Herba Euphorbia esulae. An HPLC method was used to determine the content of quercetin with the following conditions: an AlltimaTM C18column(150 mm ×4.6 mm,5 μm) was eluted with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.4% phosphoric acid(30 :70), the flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 , the detection wavelength was 360 nm and the column temperature was 35℃. Results:The characteristic spots of samples were the same as those of the standard samples. The linear range of quercetin was 3.194-102.208 μg·ml-1(r=0.9999) and the average recovery was 99. 0% (RSD=1. 68%, n=6). Conclusion:The method is quick, simple and accurate, which can be used for the quality control of Herba Euphorbia esulae.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical phenotype of a family affected with congenital dysfibrinogenemia and potential mutations underlying the disease.
METHODSCoagulation testing and hepatorenal function testing were conducted on 18 individuals from three generations. Plasma fibrinogen was extracted and analyzed with SDS-PAGE electrophoresis. All of the exons and flanking sequences of fibrinogen FGA, FGB, FGG genes were analyzed by PCR, and the products were subjected to Sanger sequencing.
RESULTSHepatorenal function, prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time of the proband were all normal. However, his thrombin time was significantly prolonged. Fibrinogen activity was decreased, while the concentration of antigen was in the normal range. The results of his mother, brother, and nephew were similar. DNA sequencing has confirmed that the proband, his mother, brother, and nephew have all carried a g.5877G>A mutation in the exon 8 of the FGG gene, which resulted in replacement of arginine (Arg) by histidine (His) at position 275.
CONCLUSIONThe Arg275His mutation of the fibrinogen gamma chain probably underlies the pathogenesis of congenital dysfibrinogenemia in this family.
