		                        			Endodontic diseases are a kind of chronic infectious oral disease.Common endodontic treatment concepts are based on the removal of inflamed or necrotic pulp tissue and the replacement by gutta-percha.However,it is very essential for endodontic treatment to debride the root canal system and prevent the root canal system from bacterial reinfection after root canal therapy(RCT).Recent research,encompassing bacterial etiology and advanced imaging techniques,contributes to our understanding of the root canal system's anatomy intricacies and the technique sensitivity of RCT.Success in RCT hinges on factors like patients,infection severity,root canal anatomy,and treatment techniques.Therefore,improving disease management is a key issue to combat endodontic diseases and cure periapical lesions.The clinical difficulty assessment system of RCT is established based on patient conditions,tooth conditions,root canal configuration,and root canal needing retreatment,and emphasizes pre-treatment risk assessment for optimal outcomes.The findings suggest that the presence of risk factors may correlate with the challenge of achieving the high standard required for RCT.These insights contribute not only to improve education but also aid practitioners in treatment planning and referral decision-making within the field of endodontics.

		                        			The dental operative microscope has been widely employed in the field of dentistry, particularly in endodontics and operative dentistry, resulting in significant advancements in the effectiveness of root canal therapy, endodontic surgery, and dental restoration. However, the improper use of this microscope continues to be common in clinical settings, primarily due to operators' insufficient understanding and proficiency in both the features and established operating procedures of this equipment. In October 2019, Professor Jingping Liang, Vice Chairman of the Society of Cariology and Endodontology, Chinese Stomatological Association, organized a consensus meeting with Chinese experts in endodontics and operative dentistry. The objective of this meeting was to establish a standard operation procedure for the dental operative microscope. Subsequently, a consensus was reached and officially issued. 		                        			Digital guided therapy (DGT) has been advocated as a contemporary computer-aided technique for treating endodontic diseases in recent decades. The concept of DGT for endodontic diseases is categorized into static guided endodontics (SGE), necessitating a meticulously designed template, and dynamic guided endodontics (DGE), which utilizes an optical triangulation tracking system. Based on cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images superimposed with or without oral scan (OS) data, a virtual template is crafted through software and subsequently translated into a 3-dimensional (3D) printing for SGE, while the system guides the drilling path with a real-time navigation in DGE. DGT was reported to resolve a series of challenging endodontic cases, including teeth with pulp obliteration, teeth with anatomical abnormalities, teeth requiring retreatment, posterior teeth needing endodontic microsurgery, and tooth autotransplantation. Case reports and basic researches all demonstrate that DGT stand as a precise, time-saving, and minimally invasive approach in contrast to conventional freehand method. This expert consensus mainly introduces the case selection, general workflow, evaluation, and impact factor of DGT, which could provide an alternative working strategy in endodontic treatment.

		                        			Oral microbial community, as an important part of human microbial community, is closely related to oral and general health. Oral microbiological research has become the forefront of international microbiological research. Standardized and unified nomenclature for oral microorganisms in Chinese is of great significance to support the development of oral medicine research. Standardized translation of microbial names is the basis for writing canonical and authoritative professional textbooks and reference books, which helps students to accurately acquire the characteristics and classifications of oral microbes. Unified translation of oral microorganisms is also conducive to academic communication and cooperation, and plays an important role in oral health education and science popularization, which enables oral microbiology knowledge to be accurately disseminated to the public. Therefore, in order to standardize the words in scientific research, funding application, publications, academic exchanges and science popularization within the field of oral medicine, we have fully discussed and revised the Chinese names of oral microorganisms in 2017 edition and ones of newly discovered oral microbes, finally reaching a consensus to form the 2023 edition of Chinese names of oral microorganisms.

		                        			Dental Caries is a kind of chronic oral disease that greatly threaten human being's health. Though dentists and researchers struggled for decades to combat this oral disease, the incidence and prevalence of dental caries remain quite high. Therefore, improving the disease management is a key issue for the whole population and life cycle management of dental caries. So clinical difficulty assessment system of caries prevention and management is established based on dental caries diagnosis and classification. Dentists should perform oral examination and establish dental records at each visit. When treatment plan is made on the base of caries risk assessment and carious lesion activity, we need to work out patient‑centered and personalized treatment planning to regain oral microecological balance, to control caries progression and to restore the structure and function of the carious teeth. And the follow-up visits are made based on personalized caries management. 7.Application of next generation sequencing in the study of virus genetic stability of Omicron strain inactivated vaccine

		                        			Objective:To analyze and monitor the genetic stability of Omicron strain inactivated vaccine.Methods:The virus seeds of Omicron strain for inactivated vaccine through different routes, that was with plaque purification or not, were continuously passaged on cells, and then the supernatant of cell culture was harvested to extract virus nucleic acid. The next generation sequencing was used to analyze virus transcriptome, and the differences of mutation sites, mutation frequencies and insertions/deletions in the whole genome of Omicron virus under different conditions were compared.Results:After continuous passage, more than 5% mutation sites in ORF1ab and S gene sequences were significantly less in the plaque-purified seed than those of the virus without plaque purification, and no insertion/deletion mutations were detected in the whole genome of the purified virus.Conclusions:The nucleic acid sequences of virus with different routes were analyzed by next generation sequencing. The result showed that the genetic stability of virus after plaque purification was better than that of unpurified virus strains, which provides a scientific basis for virus seed selection in the development of inactivated vaccine.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
8.Effect of childhood abuse on psychosomatic symptoms among medical students:mediating effect of trait coping styles

		                        			Objective To confirm the mediation effect of trait coping styles between childhood a-buse and psychosomatic symptoms among college students. Methods 262 medical students were investiga-ted by Psychosomatic Health Questionnaire( PHQ) ,Personal Report of Childhood Abuse( PRCA) ,Trait Cop-ing Styles Questionnaire(TCSQ),Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Suicide Ideation Scale(SIS) and Beck Depression Inventory(BDI).Structural equation models were established by Amos 7.0. Results The positive coping scores of medical students were (34.70±4.50),and (27.48±5.68) for negative coping,(7.79±5.58) for depression,(29.40±6.22) for self rating anxiety,(1.33±1.75) for suicidal ideation,(1.26±0.51) for mental symptoms,(1.27±0.52) for somatic symptoms and (3.17±4.26) for behavioral problems.Abuse total score was positively correlated with negative coping style, depression, self rating anxiety, suicidal ideation, mental symptoms and behavioral problems ( r=0.148-0.417,P<0.05) ,and negatively correlated with positive coping style(r=-0.148,P<0.05).Negative coping style was positively correlated with Beck depression,self rating anxiety,suicidal ideation,mental symptoms and somatic symptoms( r=0.252-0.350,P<0.01) ,and neg-atively correlated with positive coping style(r=-0.309,P<0.01).Positive coping style was negatively correla-ted with Beck depression,self rating anxiety,suicidal ideation,mental symptoms and somatic symptoms ( r=-0.208--0.271,P<0.01).Structural equation modeling showed that childhood abuse had an direct effect on psychosomatic symptoms( B=0.290,P<0.01) ,positive coping styles( B=-0.129,P<0.05) and negative cop-ing styles(B=0.243,P<0.01) among medical students.Positive coping styles and negative coping styles had direct effect on psychosomatic symptoms(B=-0.194,P<0.01;B=0.263,P<0.01).The model fit indexes were χ2/df=1.576,PGFI=0.585,PCFI=0.689,PNFI=0.645,RMSEA=0.047,GFI=0.951,AGFI=0.920, NFI=0.900,RFI=0.858,IFI=0.960,TLI=0.943,CFI=0.959. 9.The effect of environmental on spontaneous activities and expression of c-Fos, 5-HT in the hippocampal neurons of rats with posttraumatic stress disorder

		                        			Objective To investigate the expressions of c-Fos,5-HT and spontaneous activities in single prolonged stress (SPS) stress rats,and to study the possible mechanism of posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD).Methods forty-eight male SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:Individual living + SPS group (IS group),Individual living+control group (IC group),Enriched environment+SPS group (ES group),Enriched environment+control group (EC group),control+SPS group(CS group),control group(C group),8 rats in each group,spontaneous activities were measured before the experiment and post experiment at week 1,2.And the expressions of c-Fos,5-HT in the hippocampus were examined by immunohistochemical staining.Results (1) Spontaneous activity:there were no differences of crossing number and distance among 6 groups before experiment (P>0.05).On SPS 14 days the crossing number and distance of IS group (12.12±9.64,(2.71 ± 1.99)m) decreased compared with the CS group(45.25±8.37,(6.37± 1.18) m,P<0.05),and ES group (69.75± 10.05,(10.69± 1.50) m)showed significant increase compared with CS group (P<0.05).(2)5-HT:the expression of 5-HT in the hippocampus of IS group(0.1125±0.0095) was significantly higher than that in CS group(0.6138±0.0059,P<0.05),menwhile lower in ES group(0.0495±0.0074,P<0.05).(3)c-Fos:compared with CS group(0.3108±0.0074),the expression of c-Fos in the hippocampus of IS group(0.3585±0.0150,P<0.05) significantly increased,but decreased in ES group (0.2613±0.0063,P< 0.05).Conclusion Enriched environmental can improve the level of activities in PTSD rats,and to reduce the the expression of c-Fos and 5-HT in the hippocampal neurons.
		                        		
		                        		
		                        		
		                        	
10.Influence of necrostatin-1 in microglia activation and inflammatory factor levels after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion damage in rats

		                        			Objective To investigate the influence of necroptosis pathways in microglia activation and inflammatory factor levels in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury in rats and their significances.Methods A modified suture method was used to establish the models of middle cerebral artery I/R in rats.(1) SD rats according to the random number table were divided into cerebral I/R 6 h group,cerebral I/R 12 h group,cerebral I/R 24 h group,and cerebral I/R 72 h group (n=6);the expression of ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule-1 (iba-1) was detected by immunohistochemical staining,and time points enjoyed obvious iba-1 expression were selected according to the experimental results.(2) SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,cerebral I/R group,80 nmol necrostatin-1 (Nec-1) intervention group and 160 nmol Nec-1 intervention group (n=6),and the Nec-1 intervention was given 2 h after ischemia;Longa method was used to evaluate the neurological function scores and TTC method was used to detect the infarct volume;and the appropriate dosages of Nec-1 were selected according to these results.(3) SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,cerebral I/R group,solvent group and Nec-1 intervention group (n=6),and Nec-1 or DMSO intervention was given 2 h after ischemia.HE staining was used to observe the survival and proliferation ofmicroglias around the infarction tissues;immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the iba-1 expression surrounding the infarction tissues;immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were employed to observe the cytokine tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-1β and glia-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) expressions.Results (1) The iba-1 expression at cerebral I/R 24 h group was significantly increased as compared with that in other groups (P<0.05).(2) As compared with those in the cerebral I/R group,the neurological function scores and infarct volume were significantly decreased in the 80 nmol Nec-1 intervention group and 160 nmol Nec-1 intervention group (P<0.05);more obvious changes were noted in the 160 nmol Nec-1 intervention group as compared with those in the 80 nmol Nec-1 intervention group,with significant difference (P<0.05).(3) HE staining showed peri-infarct tissue inflammatory cell infiltration,reduced neuron number,cell body shrinkage and nuclear pyknosis in the cerebral I/R group,while these changes were less obvious in the Nec-1 intervention group;as compared with cerebral I/R group,the Nec-1 intervention group had significantly decreased expressions of iba-1,TNF-α,IL-1 β and GDNF (P<0.05).Conclusion Necroptosis pathway involves in the activation ofmicroglias after I/R injury in rat brains;Nec-1 inhibits the activation of microglia,and reduces the neuronal damage by regulating inflammatory cytokines.
