Electronic medical records (EMR) is the clinical diagnosis, guiding intervention and digital medical service record of outpatient, hospital patients (or care object) in medical institution. And it is the complete, detailed clinical information resource which has produced and recorded in all previous medical treatments. Radiotherapy electronic medical records contain texts, images and graphics, therefore the information is more complicated. This paper proposes an EMR information system based on DICOM-RT standard, through the use of seven objects of DICOM-RT to achieve the information exchange and sharing between different systems, equipments, convenient radiotherapy treatment data management, improve the efficiency of radiation treatment.

2.Research on DICOM SR.

This paper is aimed to research into the information model of the Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) Structured Reporting (SR), and to introduce DICOM information object definitions (IODs) and services used for the storage and transmission of SR. The DICOM services are concerned with storage, query, retrieval, and transfer of data, and give a brief introduction to DICOM DIR. DICOM DIR is a file based on medical information. According to the DICOM DIR definition in the DICOM part ten, it may be found that the composite objects referenced in the DICOM SR. So putting forward the management of DICOM files by DICOM DIR sets, It effectively improves the efficiency of the object referenced by SR. This can increase the ability to access the data. For scientific research, medical data mining and applications, DICOM SR can profit the communication of medical information in different hospitals, and this can be useful for the analysis, research, summary, classification and extraction of a large quantity of medical information.

3.Research and development of the wireless network system to monitor clinical nursing information.

OBJECTIVEIndependently research and develop the wireless network system to monitor clinical nursing information in order to meet the needs of clinical care.
METHODSThe system consists of two sections which are the bedside machines and the central station. Advanced wireless network communications, microelectronics and computer technology are applied to continuously monitor various indicators of patients in intensive case units and general wards. Then the information was sent to the central monitoring station, which can automatically classify the data.
RESULTSThe system includes 4 subsystems which are automatic monitoring of urine output, automatic monitoring of infusion, automatic measurement of patient body weight and automatic management device of postoperative drainage tubes, which can provide essential indicators for major surgeries and critical patients.
CONCLUSIONThe system has strong practicality. which can provide information for clinical care, ensuring the safety of medical care.

4.Design and implementation of management system of international academic conference on biomedical engineering.

To meet the demands of managing international academic conferences on Biomedical Engineering, a management system was designed and implemented based on Internet. The system was aimed to implement the cooperation of different departments to manage common affair and academic papers of the conference together. In addition, it could be connected to the membership management system of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. With its advanced, practical, humanized and expansible characteristics, the system performed seven main functions, including the management in general information, participant information, papers, reviewer information, booking, exhibition and manager information. The system proved to be feasible and optimized as well in the 7th Asia-Pacific Conference on Medical and Biological Engineering.

6.Development of operation patient security detection system.

This paper describes a patient security detection system developed with two dimensional bar codes, wireless communication and removal storage technique. Based on the system, nurses and correlative personnel check code wait operation patient to prevent the defaults. The tests show the system is effective. Its objectivity and currency are more scientific and sophisticated than current traditional method in domestic hospital.

8.Description and integration of biomedical information resources by metadata.

With the development and utilization of computer techniques, Internet is playing an important role in information dissemination. There are abundant biomedical resources on the Internet. Accessing biomedical information is more dependent on the Internet than ever. It is important to explore new methods to describe and manage information resources. We have analyzed biomedical databases, search engines, web sites, and the metadata adopted by biomedical databases. The results show that biomedical information resources are characterized by electronic format, networking, dynamia, and dispersion. Describing a resource with metadata allows it to be understood by both humans and machines in ways that promote interoperability. Metadata interoperability has to be the underlying principle for networked information management. It directly impinges on information sharing, interchange, and accessibility across the boundaries of systems, languages, and geographic locations. We can use metadata to describe biomedical information and to integrate resources. It will benefit the people to access, select, and utilize biomedical information resources.

9.The study and implementation of DICOM conformance in the network printing of PACS.

To implement the network printing in PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), each level of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) print management service is defined by means of object oriented method, and the corresponding events and properties are implemented with C++ language. It is tested on laser printers of AGFA, KODAK and FUJI to determine whether the network environment supports the print management service and implements the presentation LUT (Look Up Table) correctly. The quality control of printing at the level of data flow is also assessed. The program finally succeeds in realizing the network printing based on DICOM in hospital environment.

This paper attempts to use CORBA in Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), provides a system model of CORBA solution of PACS, and analyzes the view layers structure of system, finally we discuss the related services of CORBAMed.
