Objective To explore whether Yes-associated protein(YAP)affects occurrence and progression of liver fibrosis by regulating epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT).Methods In a 8-week-old C57BL/6 mouse model of CCl4-induced liver fibrosis,the effect of verteporfin(a YAP inhibitor)intervention was assessed with HE staining and by detecting liver biochemistry and expressions of YAP and EMT-related genes using immunohistochemistry and Western blotting.Transcriptome and proteomic sequencing and informatics analysis were used to investigate the main downstream pathways of YAP in liver fibrosis.Serum levels of YAP,N-cadherin,vimentin and Twist were examined in 60 healthy individuals,60 patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB),and 60 patients with HBV-related liver cirrhosis.In another 24 C57BL/6 mice,the effects of Twist inhibitor alone or in combination with harmine(a YAP activator)on CCl4-induced liver fibrosis were evaluated by histopathological examination and Western blotting.Results The mouse models of liver fibrosis showed obvious structural damages of the liver lobes with formation of pseudolobules,and verteporfin treatment significantly improved these pathologies and lowered plasma ALT and AST levels of the mice.Transcriptome and proteomic sequencing and informatics analysis suggested that N-cadherin and Twist were differentially expressed in liver fibrosis in close correlation with YAP.Inhibition of YAP obviously downregulated hepatic N-cadherin and Twist protein expressions in the mice with liver fibrosis.In patients with CHB and liver cirrhosis,serum levels of YAP elevated obviously with the severity of liver fibrosis and were significantly correlated with N-cadherin,vimentin and Twist levels.In mice with liver fibrosis,inhibiting Twist effectively improved liver inflammation and fibrosis,while the combined treatment with YAP activator worsened hepatic collagen fiber deposition and increased hepatic YAP and α-SMA expressions.Conclusion EMT is an important pathogenic mechanism of liver fibrosis,and inhibiting YAP can alleviate liver fibrosis by reducing EMT.

Objective Analyze the patterns of output of the papers by NSFC funding project,and understand the impact of NSFC on SCI paper publication.Methods The SCI papers were retrieved by the web of science,the license number of the fund grants institution was matched with the approval number of NSFC,to conduct the descriptive and univariate analysis.Results Since 2011,the labeling number and frequency of NSFC projects in SCI papers had been increased annually.Except for the projects completed in 2011 and 2012,most funding labeling were marked in the project-concluding year.Among the SCI papers published in 2015,the average labeling number and rank of projects funded for more than RMB 900,000 was higher than the low-budget items,also,the four-year projects were higher than the three-year project.Conclusions The role of the NSFC in boosting the publication of SCI papers has been increasing year by year,increasing annually before the projects concluding year,while decreasing after the completion.Higher funding and longer project period have relatively higher impact.

Objective To survey on the graduate students about their own requirements, the guid-ance of tutors and the compliance, and put the gists for the educators and administrators. Methods Using the comprehensive questionnaires including Eugenie Creativity Test and Motivation Scale, the investigation surveyed on 900 graduate students in a medical university about their requirements and tutors' concerned aspects in their opinions, which was whether influenced by Intelligence (creativity), the Non-Intelligence factors (motivation) or not. Epidata 3.1 was used to input data of the investigation, and SPSS 16.0 statistical software was used to analyze it. The items were set as multiple-choices, and the percent of responses was used. Results The students thought the tutors' concerned aspects were mainly creative thinking [61.1%(1129/1847)], research methods [58.2%(1075/1847), specialty knowledge [41.8%(772/1847)], scientific spirit
[35.4%(654/1847)], academic morality [24.3%(516/2124)] and book knowledge [5.4%(100/1847) ], while the graduate students paid more attention to its research methods [72.4%(1538/2124)], innovative thinking [64.0%(1359/2124), professional knowledge [60.0%(1274/2124)], the spirit of science [33.9%(720/2124)], academic morality [24.3%(516/2124)] and book knowledge [10.0%(212/2124)]. The percentages of research methods and specialty knowledge concerned by most of the students were higher than those tutors' con-cerned in the students' opinion. The percentages of specialty knowledge concerned by the students with high innovation and motivation were 56.2%(443/789) and 58%(345/595), which were higher than those concerned by the tutors 38.5%(255/662) and 29.4%(148/503). Conclusion In the students' opinion, tutors concerned more creative thinking, the students concerned more research methods, while they concerned similarly in the other aspects. For the students, the guidance of the tutors cannot still meet their study demands, espe-cially in research methods and specialty knowledge. Those with different motivations and innovations have different study requirements.

Objective To analyze the influence of professional factor on sensory learning style of military medical university undergraduates to put basis for search effective teaching and studying strategies. Methods Taking one military medical university for example, the undergraduates in all specialties were surveyed with VARK 7.0 version on the quantity of tendencies of their sensory learn-ing styles, the distributions and strengths on condition of single style. Results ①There were statistical significances (χ2=134.916,P=0.029) in the types of sensory learning style of students from different specialties. In those with single learning orientation, the percentage was the highest in the Biotechnology Specialty (54.5%) and Nursing Specialty (49.2%), while in those with quadruple ones, the percentage was the highest in the Pharmacy Specialty (37.2%) and Chinese medical science specialty (35.3%). ②There were no statistical significance (χ2=20.372,P=0.119) in the intensity of single learning orienta-tion among different specialties. ③There were no statistical significances (χ2=26.587,P=0.185) in the type distribution of single learning orientation among different specialties. Conclusion The learning style type of sensory learning style of military medical university undergraduates were influenced by professional factors, while single learning style type distribution and the strength were not influenced by professional factors.

Objective Through the investigation and analysis,Find the influencing factors of nosocomial infection,seek to control the incidence of nosocomial infection methods and countermeasures.Methods Use retrospective study to find 293 infection cases,and 286 normal cases,then process Logistic regression analysis of the second category.Results The influencing factors of nosocomial infection are:the number of days hospitalized,ICU days,age,blood transfusion,the number of days serious ill,the sections change times.Conclusion In order to control the incidence of nosocomial infection,focus on the crowd of high-risk factors,bring in the performance appraisal,establish the HIS to realtime monitor.
