Objective To explore the dynamic changes and mechanisms of neurological and cognitive functions in mice with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Methods Totally 60 12⁃month⁃old Balb/ c mice were divided into control group (10 in group) and TBI group (50 in group). TBT model mice were divided into 5 subgroups according to the time of model construction, including model 1 day, model 1 day, model 3 day, model 7 day, model 14 days and model 28 days group with 10 in each group. At the 29th day of the experiment, neurological scores and step down tests were carried out. After the test, the mice were sacrificed for brains which were detected by immunohistochemistry staining, inflammatory cytokine tests and Western blotting. Results Compared with the control group, the neurological scores of mice in TBI group increased, and then decreased after the 7th day when the scores reached the peak. However, the latency of step down errors was lower than control group, and the number of step down errors was higher than control group which had no changes. Compared with the control group, the expression of lonized calcium⁃binding adapter molecule 1(IBA1), chemokine C⁃X3⁃C⁃motif ligand1 (CX3CL1), C⁃X3⁃C chemokine receptor 1(CX3CR1), NOD⁃like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3 (NLRP3), and phosphorylation nuclear factor(p⁃NF)⁃κB in TBI group increased and reached to the peak at the 7th day, and then started to decrease. At the same time, the levels of inflammatory cytokines interleukin⁃6(IL⁃6) and tumor necrosis factor⁃α(TNF⁃α) first increased to the peak, and then began to decrease. However, compared with the control group, the expression of amyloid β(Aβ) protein and p⁃Tau protein in the model group continued to increase at all time. Conclusion The TBI model caused continuous activation of microglia along with inflammatory response, which first increased and then decreased, resultsing in neurological scores changes. In addition, the inflammatory response may act as a promoter of Aβ protein deposition and Tau protein phosphorylation, leading to cognitive impairment in mice.

The adulteration and counterfeiting of herbal ingredients in medicinal and food homology (MFH) have a serious impact on the quality of herbal materials, thereby endangering human health. Compared to pharmaceutical drugs, health products derived from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are more easily accessible and closely integrated into consumers' daily life. However, the authentication of the authenticity of TCM ingredients in MFH has not received sufficient attention. The lack of clear standards emphasizes the necessity of conducting systematic research in this area. This study utilized DNA barcoding technology, combining ITS2,

Objective To analyze the overall situation of regular monitoring of occupational hazards in enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2022. Methods Analysis and quality sampling from enterprises were conducted on the occupational hazard regular monitoring reports submitted by various occupational health institutions through the Guangdong Province Occupational Health Quality Control Platform for the year 2022. Results In 2022, a total of 40 129 enterprises in Guangdong Province conducted regular monitoring of occupational hazards, accounting for 5.9%. More than 4.85 million workers were enrolled, of which more than 1.99 million workers were exposed to occupational hazards, with an incidence of 41.1%. The incidence of exposure to chemicals, dust, and noise were 18.2%, 11.9%, and 23.5%, respectively. The incidence of exceeding national standard for chemical substances, dust and noise in enterprises were 2.7%, 3.3%, and 42.7%, respectively. The incidence of exceeding national standard for all occupational hazards increased with the scale of enterprises from micro, small, medium to large enterprises (29.1% vs 46.7% vs 61.3% vs 65.4%, all P<0.05). The top three key industries, with more enterprises exceeding national standard, were metal furniture manufacturing, wooden furniture manufacturing, and other metal daily necessities manufacturing. The concentration of 97 chemical hazardous agents such as silica dust and benzene in work site exceeded the national standard, but less than 1.0% chemical hazardous agents exceeded national standard in most of the chemical-exposed work site. The incidence of noise exceeding national standard was 45.4%, while the incidence of silica dust exceeding national standard was 17.3%. Conclusion The percentage of regular monitoring of occupational hazards in enterprises in Guangdong Province is relatively low. The main occupational hazard that exceeds the national standard was noise, indicating the need for special attention on noise protection in workplace.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of tislelizumab monotherapy in the second-line treatment of advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC),so as to provide reference for rational use of drug in clinic. METHODS A three-state partitioned survival model was constructed from the perspective of China’s health system, based on the data of RATIONALE-302 study, with simulation time limit of 10 years, cycle period of 1 month. The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) was calculated with quality-adjusted life year (QALY) as utility index. The cost-effectiveness of tislelizumab monotherapy was compared with that of chemotherapy for second-line treatment of advanced or metastatic ESCC by cost-utility analysis. The stability of basic analysis results was validated through sensitivity analysis and scenario analysis. RESULTS The results of basic analysis showed that compared with chemotherapy group, incremental cost per capita of tislelizumab group was 35 025.32 yuan, and incremental utility per capita was 2.71 QALYs; ICER was 12 892.31 yuan/QALY, which was far lower than the willingness-to-pay (WTP) threshold of 3 times of China’s per capita gross domestic product (GDP) 242 928 yuan in 2021. The results of univariate sensitivity analysis showed that parameters such as the cost of apatinib, the utility value of disease progression status and the cost of adverse reactions in the chemotherapy group had a great impact on the ICER value, but these parameters could not cause the reversal of the basic analysis results. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis showed that WTP threshold was higher than 80 000 yuan/QALY,the probability of tislelizumab monotherapy possessed cost-effectiveness was 100%. Results of scenario analysis showed that in which model simulation time lasted for 5 or 20 years,ICER of tislelizumab was 8 331.00 yuan/QALY and 12 981.00 yuan/QALY, which were less than 3 times of China’s per capita GDP in 2021 as WTP threshold. CONCLUSIONS When three times of China’s GDP per capita in 2021 is taken as the WTP threshold, the second-line treatment of tirelizumab monotherapy for advanced or metastatic ESCC is more cost-effective than chemotherapy.
