Objective:To understand the status quo of patient safety cultural cognition among nurses in a senior friendly hospital, and analyze the influencing factors of their patient safety cultural cognition, in order to provide a basis for formulating nursing safety management measures. Methods:Totally 360 clinical in-service nurses from 26 nursing units in a senior friendly hospital were investigated with the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC) and the Nurse Psychological Contract Scale. Single factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of their patient safety cultural cognition. Results:The total score of nurses' patient safety cultural cognition was (173.74±16.04) , which was positively correlated with the total score of psychological contract and the scores of its various dimensions ( P<0.01) . Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the hospital's team responsibility and development responsibility were the influencing factors for the scores of nurses' patient safety cultural cognition. Conclusions:Generally, nurses have a good understanding of patient safety culture. There is still much room for improvement in the hospital responsibilities of the nurses' psychological contract, especially the hospital's team responsibility and development responsibility. Managers should improve the level of nurses' psychological contract by supporting team behavior in hospital management and providing guarantees for development, so as to further enhance the nurses' patient safety cultural cognition, and enabling nurses to form positive awareness and behaviors of patient safety.

To investigate the effects of thanatos-associated protein 11 (THAP11) on the proliferation and apoptosis of esophageal cancer cell and the underlying mechanism.
Methods: Expression of THAP11 in human esophageal epithelial cells (Het-1A) and esophageal cancer cells (Eca109, TE-1, Ec 9706) were detected by Western blotting. Esophageal cancer TE-1 cells were divided into 3 groups: a normal control (NC) group, a negative control (LV-NC) group and a THAP11 (LV-THAP11) group. Then the cell proliferation were detected by MTT assay, cell apoptosis were detected by flow cytometry, caspase-3 and caspase-9 levels were detected by caspases kits. Ubiquitination of p53 was determined in esophageal cancer TE-1 cells.
Results: Expression of THAP11 was reduced in esophageal cancer cells compared with human esophageal epithelial cells (P<0.05). After transfection with LV-THAP11 in TE-1 cells, cell viability was reduced (P<0.05), while apoptosis rate and caspase-3 and caspase-9 levels were increased (P<0.05), indicating that THAP11 inhibited growth of esophageal cancer cells. In addition, the THAP11 increased the levels of p53 (P<0.05) and inhibited the ubiquitination of p53 regulated by MDM2.
Conclusion: THAP11 may inhibit the proliferation of esophageal cancer cells by inhibiting ubiquitination of p53.

The aim of this study was to identify antigens for a vaccine or drug target to control rabbit coccidiosis. A combination of 2-dimensional electrophoresis, immunoblotting, and mass spectrometric analysis were used to identify novel antigens from the sporozoites of Eimeria stiedae. Protein spots were recognized by the sera of New Zealand rabbits infected artificially with E. stiedae. The proteins were characterized by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/TOF-MS) analysis in combination with bioinformatics. Approximately 868 protein spots were detected by silver-staining, and a total of 41 immunoreactive protein spots were recognized by anti-E. stiedae sera. Finally, 23 protein spots were successfully identified. The proteins such as heat shock protein 70 and aspartyl protease may have potential as immunodiagnostic or vaccine antigens. The immunoreactive proteins were found to possess a wide range of biological functions. This study is the first to report the proteins recognized by sera of infected rabbits with E. stiedae, which might be helpful in identifying potential targets for vaccine development to control rabbit coccidiosis.

Objective To investigate the influence on the behavior of withdrawal and relapse after deep brain stimulation of bilateral nucleus accumbens in morphine-dependent rats. Methods The rats with a strong unconditioned preference were discarded in preconditioning test, the selected rats were distributed into five groups randomly. After operation, morphine hydrochloride was injected subcutaneously into SD rats for 12 days (once every day, initial 5 mg/kg,increasing by 5 mg/kg per time, stable in 20 mg/kg ). A modified electrical circuit was used to procedure the DBS,the parameter was 130 Hz,150 A,60 s,l h/d,14 d. CPP test was used to exam the effect of DBS. A minor morphine dose (3 mg/kg) was injected to induce the behavior of relapse, and CPP was tested again after 24 h. Two-way ANOVA was performed on the data with Bonferroni posttest. Result ①After CPP training,CPP score of group morphine, morphine + sham and morphine + DBS was ( 155. 87 ± 20. 45 ) s, (107.33 ± 18.10)s,(135.45 ±22.09)s,and had significant difference with group of control( ( -70.34 ± 15.40) s)(t = 9.45,P<0.01; t = 6.94,P<0.01;t = 8.04,P<0.01).②After 7 days' DBS,the CPP score in group of morphine + DBS reduced significantly compared to group of morphine( t = 4.21, P<0.01) and morphine + sham( t=1.10, P<0.05).0n the 14th day, there was more pronounced reduction ( t = 5. 15, P<0.01; t = 3.92, P< 0.01). ③ 24 hours after the minor morphine dose was injected, the CPP score in morphine + DBS didn't increase significantly, and had significant difference with group of morphine ( t = 4.04, P<0.01) and morphine + sham ( t= 4. 13, P<0.01). Conclusion DBS bilateral nucleus accumbens in morphine-dependent rats can interfere the behavior of morphine-induced CPP and relapse.

Chinese Medical Journal 2003;116(11):1764-1766
OBJECTIVETo investigate the cardiac effect of QT interval prolongation in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) with arsenic trioxide (As(2)O(3)), and the relationship between QT and serum arsenic concentration.
METHODSBlood serum arsenic concentrations of thirty APL patients were determined at 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 24 hours after As(2)O(3) injection using atomic fluorophotometry. Cardiac functions were measured simultaneously using a 12-lead body-surface electrocardiogram (ECG). Q-T intervals were manually measured, and then corrected using Bazett's formula (QTc). QT dispersion (QTd) was also calculated. In order to assess the effects of arsenic on the symptoms of anemia, twenty-four anemia patients were divided into two groups on the basis hemoglobin concentration: Group 1 (Hb > or = 90 g/L), and Group 2 (60 g/L < or = Hb < 90 g/L). QTc and QTd of these patients were also manually measured.
RESULTSAll QT intervals of APL patients treated with As(2)O(3) injection were prolonged [32.2 ms (27, 41 ms); P < 0.05], but the changes of QTd were not prominent [3 ms (-8, 7 ms), P > 0.05]. There was a delay of 2 hours in maximum QTc following peaks in serum arsenic concentration. Changes in QTc and QTd of the two anemic groups were not prominent.
CONCLUSIONSAs(2)O(3) can prolong QTc intervals in APL patients, but the effects are delayed compared to peak serum arsenic concentrations. As(2)O(3) has no prolongation effect on QTd. Mild and moderate anemia do not effect QTc and QTd.
