- Abstract: Children with atopic dermatitis often have a variety of psychological and behavioral problems, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, autism, and even suicidal tendencies. The mechanism of comorbidity between atopic dermatitis and psychological and behavioral problems is still unclear. Reasonable and effective treatment of atopic dermatitis, as well as correct identification of and early intervention with related psychological and behavioral problems can effectively reduce the occurrence of psychological and behavioral problems, and improve the prognosis of children with atopic dermatitis.
