Abstract:
Since the anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) antibody was discovered in 2007, over 10 kinds of antibodies related to autoimmune encephalitis (AE) has been identified. Thus, more formerly undiagnosed encephalitis can be confirmed now.At the same time, with the deepening of AE research, the understanding of the etiology, antibody production mechanism and pathogenic mechanism of AE is getting clear. This paper introduces the etiology, antibody production mechanism and pathogenic mechanism of AE, and elaborates the guiding role in relevant research findings in the diagnosis and treatment of AE.
