Abstract: Nitrous oxide (N₂O) is an anesthetic which is also known to have abuse potential. Nitrous oxide-induced disease is occasionally encountered in the clinic, and there have been only several case reports about nitrous oxide-induced disease. In this article we review the reported cases of severe nerve injury following N₂O abuse.
