Observation of Clinical Effect in Treating Cystic-type Acne with Combination of Yu Shi San Gen Tang and Minocycline J

Abstract: Objective]To observe the clinical effect in treating cystic acne with combination of Yu Shi San Gen Tang and minocycline. [Methods] 120 patients with cystic acne were randomly divided into 3 groups,40 cases in treatment group treated with Yu Shi San Gen Tang and minocycline,40 cases in control group1treated with minocycline and 40 cases in the control group 2 treated with Yu Shi San Gen Tang. These patients were observed the effect after continuously treated for 8 weeks. [Results] In treatment group,15 cases were cured,18 were effective,the total effective rate was 82.5%. In control group1,they were respectively 9,13 and 55%. In control group 2,they were respectively 10,14 and 60%,with significant difference between treatment group and control group1,control group2,and no significant difference between control group 1 and control group 2. [Conclusion] The combination of Yu Shi San Gen Tang and minocycline has a significant curative effect on cystic acne.
