Abstract:
Vascular aging could influence the development threshold,process,severity and prognosis of various cardiovascular diseases.Thus,it is one of the most important risk factor responsible for the high mortality of cardiovascular diseases.The vascular smooth muscle cell is an essential component of vessel wall,and is the main basis for cell biological and pathological changes of the vasculature.The structure and function of vascular smooth muscle cell play a key role in vascular aging.Recently,relationships of microRNAs with aging-related diseases have been studied as a research hot spot.We would summarize the role of microRNAs in the aging process of vascular smooth muscle cell.Besides,we would also discuss how to analyze the role of microRNAs in cardiovascular diseases.
