Abstract: Chinese national standard GBZ 97-2017 Judgment Standards for Occupational Radiogenic Neoplasms was published and will replace the current version Judgment Criteria for Cause of Radiogenic Neoplasms from November 1 in 2017. Background on which this new national standard was based, its main modifications and the necessity, choice for judgment value, choice for types of neoplasms were explained. Uncertainty of methodology not-modified in the GBZ 97-2017 was discussed. Possible misunderstood issues were explained. Finally, advices on correct application of the GBZ 97-2017 were proposed.
