Abstract:
AIM: To investigate the serum levels of interleeukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-8(IL-8), tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-?) and soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1)in female patients with pre-menstruation recurrent aphthous ulceration(RAU). METHODS: Serum levels of IL-6,IL-8,TNF-? and sICAM-1 in 21 pre-menstruation RAU patients were examined using ELISA technique, and compared to 10 healthy individuals and 22 the female RAU patients unrelated to menstrual cycle.
