Study on gastric carcinoma diagnosis by endoscopic biopsy

Abstract:
418 patients with stomach cancer (296 males, 162 females, aged 58.3 13.6) treated by endoscopic biopsy at Hospital K in Hanoi from 2001 to 2003. The most common patients group was 61-70 age group, then 51-60 age group, > 70 age group, 41-50 age group and the less was < 41 age group. The disease was more common on male than female. Cancer on the pylore accounted for ½ of all cases and cancer occurred in other locations with less frequency. Histologicaly, carcinoma occurred the highest rate 97.6%. Lymphomas, gastro-intestinal stromal tumors and neuromas, and endocrino-neuromas had got less rate.
