Off-clamp laparoscopic Thulium laser enucleation for renal angiomyolipoma

Abstract: The clinical data of 6 patients with renal angiomyolipoma who underwent off-clamp laparoscopic Thulium laser enucleation in our hospital were retrospectively collected. The average age was (48.5±11.1) years old and the tumor diameter was (4.6±1.7) cm. The R. E.N.A.L. scores were between 4 to 7. All patients successfully completed the off-clamp operation.The average operation time was (150.7±58.1) min, with a blood loss of (48.3±29.3) ml. There were no severe complications such as bleeding, infection and urine leakage, and no significant decline in renal function. During 4 to 26 months of follow-up, no tumor recurrence was observed. Off-clamp laparoscopic Thulium laser enucleation for renal angiomyolipoma is safe and feasible, with less intraoperative bleeding, and has the advantage of protecting renal function.
