Abstract: Parkinson's disease(PD)is a chronic and progressive nervous system disorder that exhibits high clinical heterogeneity.As the disease advances, patients experience further deterioration of their neurological function and a decrease in their quality of life.Advanced PD(APD)refers to a stage where conventional drug treatments are no longer effective in controlling the symptoms of PD.Early detection of APD and timely development of an optimal treatment plan, such as recommending PD device therapy in addition to drug adjustment, can not only enhance patient compliance and treatment satisfaction, but also improve the overall quality of life for patients and alleviate the burden on caregivers.However, there is currently no universally accepted standard for identifying the clinical manifestations and diagnosing APD.Therefore, the objective of this article is to discuss strategies for early identification and treatment of APD.
