Sepsis associated acute kidney injury(SA-AKI)is one of the common complications of sepsis,a syndrome of acute functional and organ damage associated with long-term adverse outcomes due to sepsis, and its incidence is gradually increasing and its mortality rate is much higher than that of sepsis alone.Early identification of SA-AKI and prediction of disease progression using biomarkers and corresponding interventions are essential to reduce the risk of death and long-term sequelae of SA-AKI.Until now,few biomarkers have been proposed to specifically identify SA-AKI,clinical use of biomarkers associated with acute kidney injury(AKI)to identify the occurrence or predict the progression of SA-AKI is essential to understand the differences between AKI-associated biomarkers produced or changed in AKI and SA-AKI,and to evaluate the role of AKI-associated biomarkers in identifying SA-AKI related biomarkers in identifying the occurrence and predicting the progression of SA-AKI is a key aspect. This article outlines the differences between AKI-related biomarkers in the occurrence and progression of AKI and SA-AKI,and provides a reference for identifying biomarkers for the occurrence and predicting the progression of SA-AKI.
