Abstract: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common arrhythmias. Studies have shown that there is a significant correlation between inflammation and AF. Pathogenic microbial infection has long been considered the most likely factor to trigger and maintain the inflammatory process. In recent years, with the development of molecular biology technology, more and more evidence shows that some bacteria and viruses can cause AF. The research on AF and pathogens has gradually become a hot topic in recent years.
