Abstract:
Surgery is the main way to treat thyroid cancer,thyroid adenoma,and thyroid nodu-lar goiter.Thyroid diseases are called"Ying disease"in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).TCM treats Ying disease with a holistic view and syndrome differentiation through various internal and external treatment approaches,offering unique advantages and significant efficacy.Thyroid surgery in integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine advocates the integration of TCM and west-ern medical practices,fostering multidisciplinary collaboration throughout the entire surgical pro-cess to leverage the strengths of both medical systems.Through literature review,this study sorts out and summarizes the application of traditional Chinese medicine in perioperative and postopera-tive follow-up of thyroid diseases,analyzes the present development of thyroid surgery in inte-grated traditional Chinese and western medicine,and provides perspectives and recommendations for future work.It is hoped to be beneficial to clinical practitioners in surgery,TCM,anesthesiology,nursing and other fields,as well as to researchers and hospital administrators.
