Abstract:
Objective:To explore the effect of mask cold compress in patients after jaw deformity correction. Methods:From August 2020 to July 2021, convenience sampling was used to select 97 patients with jaw deformity correction who were admitted to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University as the research object. The patients were divided into the control group ( n=48) and the intervention group ( n=49) according to the random number table method. Patients in the control group were treated with traditional ice packs after operation, while those in the intervention group received mask cold compress after operation. The pain and swelling at 48 hours after operation, and the drainage volume at 24 hours after operation were compared between the two groups. Results:The pain score and swelling degree of the intervention group at 48 hours after operation were lower than those in the control group, and the drainage volume at 24 hours after operation was lower than that of the control group, with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Mask cold compress can relieve the pain and swelling of patients after jaw deformity correction, reduce postoperative drainage, and help to promote the recovery of patients.
