Abstract:
Objective:To explore the status of nasal injury caused by nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP) in neonates and analyze the influencing factors. Methods:From July 2019 to December 2020, convenience sampling was used to select 114 neonates who received NCPAP in Xinxiang Central Hospital as the research object. Neonatal nasal injury was counted, and general information of neonates was collected and analyzed. Univariate analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of nasal injury in neonates treated with NCPAP.Results:Among 114 neonates treated with NCPAP, the incidence of nasal injury was 27.19% (31/114) . Univariate analysis showed that gestational age, birth weight, NCPAP time, NCPAP use method, premature rupture of membranes, and premature infant were the influencing factors of neonatal NCPAP-associated nasal injury ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:NCPAP predisposes to nasal injury in neonates. Gestational age, birth weight, NCPAP time, NCPAP use method, premature rupture of membranes, and premature infant were the influencing factors.
