Abstract: This article reviews the concept of perinatal depression, the origin, development, domestic sinicization process, domestic and foreign application, the cut-off value used in perinatal depression screening, comparison with other depression screening tools, application population expansion and application precautions of the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) , so as to provide a reference for the scientific application of the EPDS.
