Abstract:
Ischemic stroke(IS)is the leading cause of neurological disability and death,and it is mainly associated with intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis.Plasma apolipoprotein B/apolipoprotein A1 ratio(ApoB/A1)can reflect the bal-ance between atherosclerosis and anti-atherosclerotic capacity and has been confirmed to be an independent risk factor for coronary heart disease.However,there are few literature reports on the association between ApoB/A1 and IS.This article reviews the biological properties of ApoB/A1,the pathophysiological mechanisms associated with atherosclerosis,and the advances in related clinical studies.
