Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate the dietary quality of clinical nurses by the revised Chinese diet balance index (DBI_16) , so as to provide scientific basis for the improvement of their dietary intake in the future. Methods:Convenient sampling method was adopted to randomly select 160 nurses from 11 departments in a ClassⅢ Grade A hospital in Hefei to conduct a complete dietary survey from August to November in 2018. The DBI_16 scoring method was used to evaluate the quality of their diet. Results:The diet quality of clinical nurses had low insufficient intake, low excessive intake and low imbalance state. The degree of excessive intake of women was lower than that of men. The degree of excessive intake and dietary imbalance of nurses in the 51-60 age group were lower than those in the 20-30 and 31-40 age groups. The degree of excessive intake in the married group was higher than that in the unmarried group. The differences were statistically significant ( P< 0.05) . There were 6 types of dietary patterns, mainly "less insufficient intake and excessive intake" and "less insufficient intake, excessive intake to a certain extent". Conclusions:The overall diet quality of clinical nurses is in a low imbalance state, and the education of dietary guidelines and diet pagodas for Chinese residents should be strengthened to improve diet quality and diet structure.
