Abstract:
Objective:To explore sense of coherence and resilience of junior nurses in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and analyze their relationship, in order to provide reference and basis for clinical intervention measures. Methods:From July to October 2019, a total of 102 junior nurses in ICU of 5 ClassⅢ Grade A hospitals in Suzhou were selected as the research objects. General Data Questionnaire, Chinese version of Sense of Coherence-13 (SOC-13) and Resilience Assessment Scale for Medical Staff were used to conduct the survey. Results:The total score of sense of coherence of junior nurses in ICU was (50.79±8.39), which was at a low level. The total score of resilience was (62.79±10.52). The sense of coherence and its dimensions of junior nurses in ICU were all positively correlated with resilience and its dimensions ( r=0.120-0.738, P<0.05). Conclusions:There is a positive correlation between sense of coherence and resilience level in junior nurses in ICU. ICU nursing managers need to explore sources of strength for the growth of junior nurses in ICU based on different professional values of individuals, and use them to encourage nurses, cultivate positive personality characteristics and improve their ability to resist pressure and deal with crisis.
