Abstract: After the patient safety incident, the nurses as the second victim are in urgent need of support because of various injuries. As the first choice for the nurses as the second victim, peer support can help them recover from the incident quickly. This paper reviews the related concepts of the second victim, peer support needs and support programs of nurses as the second victim, aiming at raising the attention of nursing managers to peer support of the nurses as the second victim and providing reference for the research on peer support programs of the second victim in China.
