The breastfeeding self-efficacy scale and social support scale were used. Pearson correlation analysis was used. Results The median score of breastfeeding self-efficacy in preterm mother was 51, and the median score of social support was 52. Social support and breastfeeding self-efficacy scores were positively correlated (r=0.378, P<0.01). Every dimension of social support scale was positively correlated with every dimension of breastfeed-ing self-efficacy scale(r=0.255, 0.221, 0.407, 0.189;P<0.05).Conclusions NICU nurses could depend on the breastfeeding mother's family unit, and improve maternal social support to promotion of successful implemen-tation of breastfeeding in premature mothers through refining health education, improving management skill, optimizing the unit environment.
