Abstract:
Objective To investigate the level and influencing factors of professional values of nurses in a infectious disease hospital in Beijing .Methods A total of 139 nurses in 10 departments were selected by convenient sampling and were investigated by nursing professional values scale -R (NPVS-R).There were 131 valid questionnaires collected , with 94.24%recovery rate.Results The score of NPVS-R in infectious disease hospital nurses was (3.67 ±0.58), which was at medium level.The highest score was ‘trust’ dimension (3.91 ±0.90), while the lowest score was ‘activism’ dimension (3.40 ±0.70).The occupational exposure risk was not an influencing factor of professional values (P>0.05).Conclusions The score of NPVS-R in infectious disease hospital nurses is at medium level , and the occupational exposure risk is not an influencing factor of professional values .So nursing managers should carry on human resources management scientifically according to the recognition characteristics of professional values of nurses in infectious disease hospital , strengthen the sustainability of occupational exposure risk training for nurses , improve executive ability of nurses′occupational protection , guide the attention on the unexpected public emergency events , and enhance the ability to deal with public health emergencies .
