Abstract: Recent studies have shown that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) can influence the incidence, outcome, and recurrence risk of ischemic stroke independently of traditional risk factors. This article reviews the relationship, related mechanisms, and treatment decisions between NAFLD and ischemic stroke, in order to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions.
