Abstract:
Although the stomach is the first choice for esophageal reconstruction following esophagectomy , the colon interposition would be the best one when stomach removed or diseased. The colon reconstruction for esophagus, therefore, is the inevitable procedure in esophageal surgery. This paper focused on the colon interposition in terms of histroy , anatomy point, critical skills, and future prospect.
