Abstract:
Objective To investigate the correlation between obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) and body mass index, blood pressure, blood lipid and blood glucose in elderly patients. Methods A total of 118 elderly male patients with OSAS were selected as experimental group, and 98 healthy people were selected as control group. The body mass index, blood pressure, blood lipid, blood glucose and triglycerides (TG),serum cholesterol (TC),tumor necrosis and c-reactive protein (CRP),and other indicators were compared. Results The MAP,BMI and systolic blood pressure in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05),while there were no significant differences in diastolic blood pressure and hip and waist circumference (P>0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in serum TC,HDL-C and LDL-C (P>0.05),the serum TG and blood glucose,Fig and CRP levels in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05),and the CGRP level was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05).In the experimental group,SaO2< 90%,SaO2< 90% the percentage of the time, oxygen index, hypoxia frequency, respiratory disturbance frequency were significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05),while the lowest SaO2 was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05).The incidence rate of cardiovascular disease in the experimental group was 80.5%,which was significantly higher than 27.6% in the control group (P<0.01).Logistic regression analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between OSAS index and CGRP level,TG level and neck circumference (P<0.05).Conclusion There is a close relationship between OSAS and cardiovascular disease risk factors in elderly patients.
