Abstract:
Vaginal agenesis is one of the manifestations of malformations of the female genital tract, which can be caused by congenital developmental abnormalities, or by perineal tumour, trauma or birth injuries. In transgender female patients, there is a psychological absence of the vagina. Vaginal reconstruction is used in women with a dysfunctional vagina and in patients who require to become women, and can be divided into non-surgical and surgical treatment. In recent years, vaginal reconstruction has been further developed with advances in medical technology. This article provides an overview of the history of vaginal rejuvenation and the advances in non-surgical and surgical treatment method .
