Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect and safety of glutamine combined with probiotics on patients with decompensated cirrhosis. Methods Seventy-eight patients with decompensated cirrhosis were collected and randomly divided into two groups, the control group with 39 cases were treated with routine treatment, the treatment group with 39 cases were treated with compound glutamin entersoluble capsule 750 mg,tid, oral + live combined bacillus subtilis and enterococcus faecium enteric-coated capsules 250 mg,tid, oral on the basis of control group. The two groups were treated for 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, the permeability of the intestinal mucosa indexes, liver function indexes, the clinical effects and adverse drugs reactions (ADR) were measured and compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the ratio of lactulose/mannitol in urine of treatment group and control group were 0.09 ±0.06,0.12 ±0.08,and serum interleukin-8 in the two groups were(15.02 ± 3.69),(18.45 ± 4.10) ng· L-1,serum level of alanine aminotransferase in the two groups were (24.61 ± 14.29),(36.82 ± 15.67)U · L-1,the difference of above factors between the two groups was statistically significant (all P<0.05).The improved rate in the control group 71.80% was lower than the treatment group 92.31% with significantly (P <0.05).The incidence rate of ADR in the control group was 15.38% (6 cases/39cases),compared with 20.51% (8 cases/39 cases) in the treatment group, there was no difference between the two groups (P < 0.05).Conclusion Glutamine combined with probiotics is effective in the treatment of patients with decompensated cirrhosis, which is helpful to decrease the permeability of intestinal mucosa and improve the liver function;and doesn't increase ADR.
