Abstract:
Eglin C is a small heat-stabilized protein from leeches. It belongs to the potato chymotrypsin inhibitor family, and can inhibit elastase, subtilisin, cathepsin, α-lytic protease and chymotrypsin etc. However, purification of protease by eglin C has not been studied.
