- Abstract: Lung myofibroblasts are important effector that drive the development of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, but the mechanisms of lung myofibroblasts transition have not been clarified yet. In this review, we summarize the progress on the mechanisms of lung myofibroblast transitionfrom the aspects of mechanical transduction, metabolism, oxidative stress, ubiquitination and cell senescence in the past five years.
