3D printing technology, with a layer-by-layer construction method, enables the fabrication of intricately shaped and customizable bolus. In contrast to traditional preparation methods, 3D printing technology addresses challenges such as poor bolus fit and cumbersome production processes, offering a novel approach to efficient and personalized bolus fabrication. This article discusses the research progress of 3D printing technology in radiotherapy bolus from aspects such as the preparation process, clinical application, and research advancements, combined with the actual printing experience of Department of Radiation Oncology in Chongqing University Cancer Hospital.

Objective To investigate the quality of life status in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and its influencing factors,understand their demands for continuous nursing services,analyze the correlation,and provide a reference for formulating and implementing continuous nursing plans for diabetes in the later stage.Methods From May to December 2024,a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 294 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in this hospital by using the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),the Diabetes Pa-tient-Specific Quality of Life Scale(DSQL),and the Questionnaire on the Need for Continuous Care.Results The SAS score of patients with type 2 diabetes was 45.76±7.45,DSQL score was 54.68±10.99,and the score of continuous care needs was 32.98±5.79.The quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is mainly influenced by factors such as age,family type,educational level,average monthly family in-come,duration of diabetes,blood glucose control,dietary compliance,intensity of physical exercise,and diabet-ic complications.The quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was positively correlated with need for continuous care(P<0.05).Conclusion The quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is influenced by multiple factors and is related to the need for continuous care.Professional continuous care plans can be formulated and implemented based on the needs of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective To investigate the effects of meropenem and amikacin on gut microbiota diversity and composition in a neonatal rat model of necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC).Methods Neonatal SD rats(1～2 d,weighing 5～10 g,both sexes)were subjected to establish a NEC model through artificial formula feeding,hypoxic-cold stress,and lipopolysaccharide(LPS)gavage.The rats were randomly divided into normal control group(Group C,n=12),NEC group(Group N,n=20),meropenem intervention group(Group M,n=20),and amikacin intervention group(Group A,n=20).Following modeling,Group M and Group A received intraperitoneal injections of meropenem(125 mg/kg)or amikacin(468 mg/kg),twice daily for 3 consecutive days.Groups C and N were administered an equal volume of normal saline.At the end of the intervention,colonic contents or fecal samples were collected.The gut microbiota structure was analyzed using 16S rDNA high-throughput sequencing.Bioinformatics analysis was performed using the QIIME2 platform.Alpha diversity was evaluated using Chao1,Shannon,and Simpson indices.Beta diversity was assessed based on Bray-Curtis distance through principal coordinate analysis(PCoA)and non-metric multidimensional scaling(NMDS).Venn and UpSet plots were generated to visualize the composition and overlap of operational taxonomic units(OTUs).Linear discriminant analysis effect size(LEfSe)was applied to identify differentially abundant taxa across groups.Results High-throughput 16S rDNA sequencing showed that the N group had significantly lower 3 indices of α diversity than the C group(P<0.01),that is,a Chao1 index from 230 to 40,a Shannon index from 1.65 to 0.85,and a Simpson index from 0.65 to 0.42.After antibiotic intervention,both the M group and A group obtained obvious increases in the Chao1 index than the N group(P<0.001),with a greater increase observed in the M group than in the A group(P<0.05).However,neither antibiotic group exhibited notable improvements in the Shannon index or Simpson index compared with the N group(P>0.05).Venn and UpSet analyses revealed that the M group had the highest number of unique OTUs(283),while the A group shared the most OTUs(63)with the C group.PCoA and NMDS analyses indicated that the microbial structure of the A group was closer to that of the C group,with better clustering.Taxonomic composition and LEfSe analysis demonstrated that the N group was enriched with potentially pathogenic taxa such as Escherichia coli B2 and Klebsiella under the phylum Proteobacteria,while beneficial bacteria including Lactobacillaceae and Bifidobacteriaceae(phylum Firmicutes)were significantly reduced,indicating severe dysbiosis.In contrast,the A group exhibited a significant increase in beneficial bacteria and a structural tendency toward ecological recovery.The M group,however,was enriched with various conditionally pathogenic and environmentally associated genera,displaying a microbial configuration notably deviating from a healthy state.Conclusion Meropenem and amikacin exhibit differential regulatory effects on the intestinal microbiota in the context of NEC.Amikacin demonstrates superior efficacy in restoring microbial stability and levels of beneficial bacteria,whereas meropenem,although effective for early infection control,warrants caution due to its potential long-term impact on the gut microbiome.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Dendrobium officinale polysaccharide （DOP）on CCl₄-induced hepatic fibrosis（HF）and its mechanism. MethodsA total of 56 male SD rats were randomly divided into seven groups： normal group（NG），model group（MG），colchicine group（CG， 0.1 mg/kg）， Fuzheng Huayu group（FG， 0.45 g/kg），low-dose DOP group（LDG， 0.05 g/kg），middle-dose DOP group（MDG， 0.1 g/kg）and high-dose DOP group（HDG，0.2 g/kg），with 8 rats in each group. HF rat model was established by subcutaneous injection with 40% CCl₄ olive oil mixture， every 3-day for 10 weeks. At the end of the sixth week， the drug groups were treated with colchicine， Fuzheng Huayu and DOP solution by gavage respectively， once a day for 4 weeks. NG and MG groups were similarly handled with an equal amount of 0.9 % normal saline. Liver histopathology was detected using hematoxylin-eosin （HE）， Masson and Sirius red staining； blood biochemistry was tested for liver function and four indicators of HF； RT-qPCR and Western Blot were used to measure the expression of α-SMA， Col-I， E-cadherin， and ZEB1 genes and proteins in the liver tissues of rats， respectively. ResultsHE， Masson， and Sirius red staining showed that the liver tissue of MG rats had typical pathologic features of HF， and the degree of HF was alleviated in LDG， MDG， and HDG rats， respectively. Liver function test results showed that the serum AST， TBIL， and AKP levels were significantly lower in LDG， MDG， and HDG， compared with those of the MG （P < 0.05 or < 0.01）. Meanwhile， ALT levels in serum deceased remarkably except in LDG （P < 0.05 or < 0.01）. The four results of HF showed that the serum HA， LN， PC-Ⅲ， and COL-Ⅳ levels in LDG， MDG， and HDG rats were significantly decreased compared with those of the MG （P < 0.05 or < 0.01）. The relative expressions of α-SMA， COL-I， and ZEB1 genes and proteins were significantly decreased in the liver tissues of LDG， MDG， and HDG （P < 0.05 or < 0.01）， and the relative expression of E-cadherin gene and protein increased （P < 0.05 or < 0.01）. In addition， the expressions of HA， α-SMA， COL-I， ZEB1 and E-cadherin were dependent on the dose of DOP. ConclusionDOP alleviated the degree of CCl₄ induced HF in rats by inhibiting the epithelial-mesenchymal transition in liver tissue.

Objective To explore the effects of image registration using various regions of interest(ROI)on the setup error for nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)patients who were immobilized individually.Methods Forty-three NPC patients who required radiotherapy were enrolled.The patients were immobilized with customized plastic foam and thermoplastic mask,and CBCT verification was performed once a week.In CBCT images,ROI was divided into the whole ROI(ROIPTV)and 7 local ROI containing different cervical structures(ROIsphenoid sinus,ROIatlantoaxial,ROIneck3,ROIneck4,ROIneck5,ROIneck6,and ROIneck7),which were then used for registrations with localized CT image.The setup errors in superior-inferior(SI),left-right(LR),anterior-posterior(AP),Pitch,Roll,and Yaw directions were recorded.Results In SI direction,the setup errors within 0.3 cm accounted for 89.74%for ROIneck7,and more than 90%for the other ROI.The proportion of setup errors within 0.3 cm gradually increased with the neck upward in LR direction,and they were 76.78%,81.70%,85.26%,and above 90%for ROIneck7,ROIneck6,ROIneck5,and the other ROI,respectively.In AP direction,the proportions of setup errors within 0.3 cm were less than 90%,except for ROIatlantoaxial and ROIneck3.The setup errors of ROIsphenoid sinus,ROIatlantoaxial,ROIneck3,and ROIneck4 were significantly positively correlated with ROIPTV in SI direction,and the correlation coefficients(R)were 0.94,0.95,0.90,and 0.83,respectively.In LR direction,there were positive correlations between the setup errors of ROIatlantoaxial and ROIsphenoid sinus(R=0.95),ROIneck3 and ROIsphenoid sinus(R=0.91),ROIPTV and ROIneck3(R=0.91).The setup errors of ROIPTV in AP direction were positively correlated with ROIatlantoaxial vertebrae and ROIneck3(R=0.88,0.90).The margins of all ROIs ranged from 0.38 cm to 1.01 cm.The extension of ROIneck6 and ROIneck7 in AP direction exceeded 0.9 cm,and the extension of ROIneck7 reached 0.95 cm in SI direction.Conclusion ROIPTV and ROIsphenoid sinus,ROIatlantoaxial,ROIneck3 are significantly correlated in SI,LR,and AP directions.The setup error of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients gradually increases with the neck down.The nasopharyngeal and cervical regions need to be expanded in segments when patients are immobilized individually.

Objective:Based on the questionnaire, to analyze the current status of children′s bone age assessment in China, especially the application of artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted bone age assessment system in the clinic.Methods:This was a cross-sectional study. The questionnaire was adapted by ourselves through the literature method and expert interview method, and the whole volume included 22 questions, which were released in the form of WeChat applet questionnaire star to the physician groups of several associations and entrusted to the radiology and paediatricians with senior titles. The results of the different types of questions were summarised and analyzed, and the chi-square test was used to compare the count data.Results:A total of 450 valid questionnaires were collected from 162 medical institutions in 26 provinces and cities and autonomous regions, of which 232 (51.6%) were from 87 (53.7%) tertiary hospitals and 218 (48.4%) from 75 (46.3%) secondary hospitals. Of the respondents, 115 (25.6%) were senior, 137 (30.4%) middle and 198 (44.0%) junior. Child bone age measurement was performed at 75.9% (66/87) of tertiary care organizations and 26.7% (20/75) of secondary care organizations, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2=39.10, P<0.001). Left wrist radiographs were predominantly used for bone age assessment (76.0%, 123/162), with 72.8% (118/162) of sites using the ATLAS method of assessment and 17.9% (29/162) using the scoring method. A total of 98.4% (443/450) of respondents agreed that AI technology should be used to assist in bone age assessment, but only 9.3% (15/162) of healthcare organizations used AI-assisted technology. Conclusion:At present, bone age assessment is widely used in medical institutions, but there are problems with non-standardized examination methods, inconsistent assessment standards, and imprecise assessment results. Expectations for AI technology-assisted diagnosis exist among a wide range of physicians, but there are fewer users.

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of transdermal patches containing Cassia seed extract applied at the navel on slow transit constipation (STC) in rats and explore the spectrum-effect relationship of the patches. Method In a STC rat model established by gavage of compound diphenoxylate suspension for 14 days, the transdermal patches containing low, medium and high doses of Cassia seed extract (41.75, 125.25, and 375.75 mg/kg, respectively) were applied at the Shenque acupoint on the abdomen for 14 days after modeling, with constipation patches (13.33 mg/kg) as the positive control. After the treatment, fecal water content and intestinal propulsion rate of the rats were calculated, the pathological changes in the colon were observed with HE staining. Serum NO and NOS levels and the total protein content and NO, NOS and AChE expressions in the colon tissue were determined. HPLC fingerprints of the transdermal patches were established, and the spectrum-effect relationship between the common peaks of the patches and its therapeutic effect were analyzed. Results Treatment with the transdermal patches containing Cassia seed extract significantly increased fecal water content and intestinal propulsion rate of the rat models, where no pathological changes in the colon tissue were detected. The treatment also suppressed the elevations of serum and colonic NO and NOS levels and reduction of AChE in STC rats. Twenty-eight common peaks were confirmed in the HPLC fingerprints of 6 batches of Cassia seed extract-containing patches. Analysis of the spectrum-effect relationship showed that autrantio-obtusin had the greatest contribution to the therapeutic effect of the patches in STC rats. Conclusion The Cassia seed extract-containing patches alleviates STC in rats via synergistic actions of multiple active ingredients in the extract, where autrantio-obtusin, rhein, chrysoobtusin, obtusin, obtusifolin, emodin, chrysophanol, and physcion are identified as the main active ingredients.

Objective To construct the theoretical framework of rehabilitation big data based on International Classification of Func-tioning,Disability and Health(ICF). Methods Drawing upon international rehabilitation policy documents,such as the World Health Organization's Rehabili-tation in health systems;Rehabilitation in health systems:guide for action;Rehabilitation indicator menu:a tool accompanying the Framework for Rehabilitation Monitoring and Evaluation(FRAME);Template for Rehabilita-tion Information Collection(TRIC):a tool accompanying the Systematic Assessment of Rehabilitation Situation(STARS);and Framework and Standards for Country Health Information Systems;this study examined the com-position and function of rehabilitation big data.The content structure of the rehabilitation big data domain was an-alyzed using the World Health Organization Family of International Classifications(WHO-FICs).Furthermore,the generation patterns of rehabilitation big data was constructed drawing on the Health Metrics Network and big data hierarchical classification. Results Within the six primary elements of the health service system,the information system element was particularly significant,encompassing a substantial branch known as rehabilitation big data.There were three components of rehabilitation big data:health condition,health-related factors and health services.The content framework for this data was derived from the WHO-FICs framework,which covered three dimensions:health and function,dis-ease and function,and disease,function and intervention.A comprehensive model for generating and applying re-habilitation big data in rehabilitation services was developed in line with the requirements for constructing big da-ta architectures.The sources of this data included population censuses,social registration information,population surveys,resources,services and personal records.The result chain of rehabilitation big data encompassed five major processes:input,process,output,outcome and impact.The processing and utilization of this data involved collection,storage,management,analysis and application. Conclusion A theoretical framework for rehabilitation big data has been constructed based on the ICF theory.

Objective To explore and organize the standards of rehabilitation big data. Methods The connotation and extension of rehabilitation big data were discussed based on International Classification of Functioning,Disability and Health(ICF)framework.Referring to the documents of Guidance on the analysis and use of routine health information systems rehabilitation module,Rehabilitation in health systems:guide for action,Rehabilitation indicator menu:a tool accompanying the Framework for Rehabilitation Monitoring and Evaluation(FRAME),and Data quality assurance.Module 1.Framework and metrics,the sources,patterns,clas-sification systems and coding standards were discussed under the ICF theory,and the metadata standards were ex-plored.The application and management of rehabilitation big data standards were discussed according to Nation-al Health Medical Big Data Standards,Security and Service Management Measures(Trial). Results The rehabilitation big data included rehabilitation service data and personal health data,coming from population-based and institution-based data,covering macro,meso and micro levels.The pattern of rehabilitation data flow corresponded to the interaction and source of the entire process of rehabilitation service,to organize and manage rehabilitation big data.The classification system included object classes,object feature classes,participant role classes,relationship classes,and activity and event classes,each of which was further subdivided into subcatego-ries to cover the entities,features,roles,relationships and activities involved in the rehabilitation process.The metadata standards included three levels:core,general and specialized metadata,ensuring standardized manage-ment,sharing and interoperability of rehabilitation data. Conclusion This study delves into the standardization of rehabilitation big data based on the ICF framework,encompass-ing multiple dimensions such as the connotation and extension of rehabilitation big data,data sources,data mod-els,classification systems,coding standards,and metadata standards.The construction of a rehabilitation big data standard system involves standardization efforts in various aspects,including data content,data structure,data coding,and metadata.These standards not only adhere to the norms of data flow,but also take into account the complexity of data composition.This system aligns with health big data standards,ensuring data consistency,ac-curacy,and interoperability,thus providing a foundation for effective exchange and comparison between different data sources.The establishment of a rehabilitation big data standard system not only ensures the standardized pro-cessing of rehabilitation big data,but also lays a solid foundation for effective exchange between rehabilitation big data and other health data,as well as for the widespread application of rehabilitation big data.This provides crucial support for improving the quality and efficiency of rehabilitation services,ensuring that patients receive appropriate care,rehabilitation and support.It holds significant theoretical and practical implications for promot-ing the development of the rehabilitation field.

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of electroacupuncture on the expression of ATP-binding cassette transporter A1(ABCA1),ATP-binding cassette transporter G1(ABCG1),and class B type Ⅰ scavenger receptor(SR-B Ⅰ)genes and proteins in peritoneal macrophages of atherosclerotic rabbits.The study aimed to explore the mechanism underlying the treatment of atherosclerosis(AS)with electroacupuncture.Methods Twenty-six male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into the negative control group(n=7)and the modeling group(n=19)using a random number table method.The negative control group rabbits were fed a regular diet,while the modeling group was induced with a combination of high-fat feed and common carotid artery balloon injury surgery to create an AS model.After successful modeling,the rabbits in the modeling group were further divided into the model group,the electroacupuncture group,and the atorvastatin group,with 6 rabbits in each group.The rabbits in the electroacupuncture group received electroacupuncture at"'Neiguan'(PC6)","'Zusanli'(ST36)",and"'Guanyuan'(ST25)"acupoints,using a density wave,a current of 1 mA,and a frequency of 4 Hz/20 Hz,once a day.The needle was retained for 20 minutes each time,and a total of 4 courses of treatment were conducted,with 6 days per course.The rabbits in the atorvastatin group were administered atorvastatin calcium tablet suspension(1 mg/kg)orally once a day,for 6 days per course,with a total of 4 courses.After the interventions,HE staining was performed to observe the morphological changes in the common carotid artery tissue of the rabbits.Peritoneal macrophages were collected from the rabbits,and the mRNA expression levels of ABCA1,ABCG1,and SR-B Ⅰ were measured using real-time fluorescence PCR.The protein expression levels of ABCA1,ABCG1,and SR-B Ⅰ were detected using Western blotting.Results The negative control group exhibited smooth intima of common carotid artery in rabbits,while the model group displayed damaged intima of common carotid artery,thickened artery walls,and the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.The electroacupuncture group and atorvastatin group showed significant improvements in wall thickening and a reduction in plaque area.Compared with the negative control group,the mRNA and protein expressions of ABCA1,ABCG1,and SR-B Ⅰ in peritoneal macrophages of rabbits in the model group were reduced(P＜0.01).Compared with the model group,the electroacupuncture group and atorvastatin group exhibited increased mRNA and protein expressions of ABCA1,ABCG1,and SR-B Ⅰ in abdominal macrophages of rabbits(P＜0.01).Furthermore,the atorvastatin group demonstrated increased mRNA levels of ABCG1 and SR-B Ⅰ,as well as increased protein expressions of ABCA1,ABCG1,and SR-B Ⅰ in peritoneal macrophages of rabbits,in comparison to the electroacupuncture group(P＜0.01).Conclusion Electroacupuncture can enhance the expressions of ABCA1,ABCG1,and SR-B Ⅰ mRNA and protein in abdominal macrophages of AS rabbits,thereby promoting the process of cholesterol reverse transport.This may be one of the mechanisms underlying the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of AS.
