In recent years, cancer treatment methods and means are becoming more and more diversified, and single treatment methods often have limited efficacy, while the synergistic effect of immunity combined with chemotherapy can inhibit tumor growth more effectively. Based on this, we constructed a sodium alginate hydrogel composite system loaded with chemotherapeutic agents and tumor vaccines (named SA-DOX-NA) with a view to the combined use of chemotherapeutic agents and tumor vaccines. Firstly, the tumor vaccine (named NA) degradable under acidic conditions was constructed by
2.Intervention effect of building social networks with medical backgrounds on college students knowledge, attitudes, and practices in the HIV prevention and treatment
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(10):1406-1410
Objective:
To evaluate the structural communication advantages of peers with medical background in social networks and their intervention effects on college students knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) levels in the prevention and control of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), so as to provide theoretical support and practical pathways for structured health communication.
Methods:
From April to June in 2025, 367 undergraduates were selected by stratified cluster random sampling in Nankai University. A multimodal strategy was employed to construct students social networks. Fifty peer nodes were selected through a four step screening process:betweenness centrality ≥0.3, eigenvector centrality ≥ P 90 , serving as student leader for at least one year, being mentioned ≥2 times in classroom interactions and information exchanges, with a total of five rounds, each lasting five days. Peer leaders daily pushed five Micromessage (knowledge points, interactive topics, or videos) through WeChat/QQ groups. KAP scale scores for AIDS prevention and treatment were measured before and after the intervention, and intervention effectiveness and predictive factors were analyzed using paired t-tests and Logistic regression analysis.
Results:
After the intervention, the total KAP score for AIDS prevention and treatment increased from (65.86±6.58) to (71.27±4.90) ( t=-12.84, P <0.01). The intermediary centrality (0.51±0.09) in the medical group was significantly higher than the non medical group (0.34±0.12) ( t=3.18, P < 0.01 ), with an average daily peak transmission rate of 8.71 people, and the network modularity increased from 0.39 to 0.47 (Δ Q=0.09, P < 0.01). The interaction between structural advantages and medical background significantly predicted KAP improvement ( OR= 4.21 , 95%CI=1.89-9.38, P <0.05).
Conclusions
Professional peers have significant structural communication advantages in HIV prevention and treatment interventions in colleges and universities. It is recommended to optimize sub node screening strategies by combining network structure and professional background.

Aim To investigate the effects of Cartham-us tinctorius L.extract(CTLE)on oxidative stress, lipid metabolism, and apoptosis levels of mice with al-cohol-induced liver injury and its mechanism of action. Methods The mouse model of alcohol-associated liver disease was established by chronic alcohol feeding and acute alcohol gavage.Mice were randomly divided into four groups.During the modeling period, the state changes of mice were observed every day,and their weight was recorded. At the end of modeling, blood and liver tissues were collected from each group of mice. The blood of mice was analyzed biochemically, and HE staining and Oil Red O staining were used to evaluate further the degree of pathological damage in the liver of mice.Quantitative real-time PCR(qPCR)and Western blot were applied to detect the mRNA and protein expression levels of p-PI3K,PI3K,p-Akt,Akt,p-mTOR,mTOR,p-FoxO1,FoxO1,p-FoxO3a,FoxO3a,p-FoxO4,FoxO4,BCL and BAX factors. Results Compared to the model group, the CTLE administration group showed improved hepatic patho-logical injury and reduced lipid deposition. The bio-chemical indexes in serum and liver, such as ALT,AST,TG,TC,and MDA levels were reduced, while GSH and SOD levels increased.Regulating the PI3K/Akt/FoxO pathway resulted in increased production of SOD,which reduced damage and apoptosis caused by reactive oxygen species(ROS).Conclusions CTLE can exert anti-oxidative stress and anti-apoptotic effects through the PI3K/Akt/FoxO pathway and attenuates alcoholic liver injury in mice, providing new ideas for the treatment of alcoholic liver disease and the develop-ment of related drugs.

Limosilactobacillus reuteri is a microbe intricately linked to humans and animal health.A thor-ough assessment of its safety and potential benefits is imperative prior to its application in human and ani-mals.In this investigation,we performed a comprehensive analysis encompassing genome sequencing, genomic analysis, and phenotypic characterization of L.reuteri Q35,an exceptionally proficient producer of reuterin. The whole genome sequencing results showed that the complete genome sequence spans 2145158 bp with a GC content of 38.9% and encompasses 2121 genes.Initial identification of antibiotic-re-sistant genes, virulence factors, and toxin-coding genes in the genome substantiated the strain' s low-risk status.Subsequent tests for antibiotic resistance, acute oral toxicology, and hemolysis further confirmed its elevated safety level. The genome of L.reuteri Q35 was found to contain genes associated with adhe-sion and stress tolerance.Following exposure to artificial gastric juice and bile salt, the strain exhibited a higher survival rate and demonstrated a strong scavenging ability for hydroxyl free radicals in antioxidant capacity tests. These findings suggested that L.reuteri Q35 possesses unique probiotic properties.Addi-tionally,the genome of strain Q35 harbors three truncated oxaloyl-CoA decarboxylase genes (oxc1,oxc2 and oxc3),overexpression of which resulted in a significant increase in ammonium oxalate degradation from 29.5% to 48.8%.These findings highlight that L.reuteri Q35 exhibits both favorable safety charac-teristics alongside beneficial properties, making it a promising candidate for treating metabolic disorders such as hyperoxaluria.

Purpose:
This study aimed to explore the application of Ovarian-Adnexal Reporting and Data System Ultrasound (O-RADS US) combined with MV-Flow (Samsung Medison Co., Ltd.) to diagnose ovarian-adnexal masses.
Methods:
A total of 112 ovarian-adnexal masses (81 benign and 31 malignant) from 105 consecutive patients were analyzed. The O-RADS US and vascular index from MV-Flow (VIMV) were measured and compared with the reference standard. O-RADS US and MV-Flow were tested for consistency.
Results:
Receiver operating characteristic curves were drawn for O-RADS US, MV-Flow, and their combination. The combined methods had the largest area under the curve (0.955), followed by O-RADS US (0.929) and MV-Flow (0.923). A mass was considered malignant when the O-RADS US classification was 5 and VIMV was ≥7.15. With this definition, MV-Flow had the highest sensitivity (87.10%), with consistent findings for the combined diagnostic methods and O-RADS US (83.87%). The specificity of the combined diagnostic methods (93.83%) was higher than that of MV-Flow (91.36%). O-RADS US had the lowest specificity (90.12%). The combined diagnostic methods had the highest coincidence rate (91.07%), and MV-Flow (90.18%) had a significantly higher coincidence rate than O-RADS US (88.39%). Both O-RADS US and MV-Flow showed good consistency among different physicians (former kappa, 0.974; latter intraclass correlation coefficient [ICC], 0.986). MV-Flow had a high consistency for the same physician (ICC, 1).
Conclusion
O-RADS US and MV-Flow exhibited good diagnostic efficacy, and their combined diagnostic efficacy was higher than that of each individually. O-RADS US and MV-Flow can improve the diagnosis of benign and malignant ovarian-adnexal masses.
