Objective To systematically summarize the best evidence for the prevention of peripherally inserted central venous catheter(PICC)-associated infection,and provide evidence-based basis for healthcare workers to for-mulate management strategies for the prevention of PICC-associated infection.Methods According to the"6S"model of the evidence pyramid,relevant literatures on the prevention of PICC-related infection were systematically retrieved from top to bottom from UpToDate,websites of World Health Organization,Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,Infusion Nurses Society,Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario,New South Wales Agency for Clinical Innovation,National Health Commission of the People'Republic of China,Medlive,PubMed,Web of Sci-ence,Cochrane Library,Embase,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang,VIP,and SinoMed Database.The types of included literatures were clinical decision-making,guidelines,consensus,evidence summa-ries,and systematic reviews.The retrieval search window was from the establishment of the database to August 2024.Two researchers independently evaluated the quality of literatures and extracted evidence.Results A total of 19 papers were included in the analysis,including 2 clinical decisions,9 guidelines,6 expert consensuses,1 evi-dence summary,and 1 systematic review.Ultimately,28 pieces of evidence covering 6 topics including manage-ment,tools,catheterization,maintenance,infusion,and removal were formed.Conclusion This study summarizes the best evidence for preventing PICC-related infection,and recommends that clinical healthcare workers apply rele-vant evidence rationally and prudently,so as to reduce the incidence of PICC-related infections.

Objective To analyze the disease burden of hip osteoarthritis(HOA)and its changing trends in China from 1990 to 2021.Methods Utilizing the Global Burden of Disease(GBD)2021 database,age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR),age-standardized prevalence rate(ASPR),and age-standardized disability adjusted life years(DALY)rate(ASDR)of HOA were compared and analyzed in China,globally,and in regions with high sociodemographic index(SDI)from 1990 to 2021.Joinpoint regression model was used to analyze the temporal trend of disease burden,and age and gender were combined to deeply analyze the disease burden of HOA in China.Meanwhile,the age-period-cohort model was used to analyze the influencing factors and the Bayesian age-period-cohort model to predict the trend of China's HOA disease burden in the next 10 years.Results The ASIR,ASPR,and ASDR of HOA in China showed an increasing trend from 1990 to 2021[average annual percentage change(AAPC)were 0.87％,0.82％,and 0.81％,respectively,P＜0.001],and their AAPCs were higher than those of the global and high SDI regions,but in 2021,the ASIR,ASPR,and ASDR of China were lower than those of the global and high SDI regions.Crude incidence,crude prevalence,and crude DALY rate in Chinese HOA increased with age,with the highest number of incidence in the 55-59 age group and the highest number of prevalence,DALY,in the 65-69 age group.In 2021,the ASIR,ASPR and ASDR of HOA in Chinese males were 1.25,1.24 and 1.25 times higher than those in females.Changes in the incidence of HOA in China from 1990 to 2021 were influenced by age,period,and birth cohort.Compared with 2021,new cases of HOA are expected to increase by 37.78％by 2035,and the number of incidence cases in people aged 60 years and above will increase significantly.Conclusion The disease burden of HOA in China continued to rise from 1990 to 2021,and prevention and control need to be strengthened,with a focus on men,high BMI,and middle-aged and older populations.

Recruitment is a critical part of human resource management.Conducting recruitment with competency models can significantly enhance match candidates to positions.This paper outlines the theoretical support for competency models.By analyzing the construction process of competency models in public hospitals and their application in recruitment,it aims to explore problems in the implementation of competency models in recruitment and provide suggestions.

The complement component 4 binding protein alpha(C4BPA)gene is the alpha chain of complement binding protein 4.As a plasma protein involved in the complement and coagulation systems,it can influence immune responses and lipid metabolism.In order to study the polymor-phism of C4BPA gene and its correlation with milk quality traits in Chinese Holstein cows,genom-ic DNA was extracted from blood samples of 92 Chinese Holstein cows,and the target fragment of C4BPA gene was amplified by PCR,and the association analysis was performed by using direct se-quencing to obtain the SNP loci and milk quality traits.The results showed that among the four SNPs found at the third intron of the C4BPA gene,I3-11 G＞A was highly significantly correlated with milk protein and urea nitrogen(P＜0.05),I3-291 T＞G was significantly correlated with lac-tose(P＜0.05),I3-374 C＞T was highly significantly correlated with lactose and urea nitrogen(P＜0.05),and I3-375 T＞G was highly significantly correlated with lactose(P＜0.05),milk pro-tein and urea nitrogen.The chi-square test values for each point indicated that the population was in genetic equilibrium.Individuals of haplotype combination H1 H1 had the highest lactose content,and haplotype combination H1H2 can be used as the best haplotype combination in the molecular selection work of dairy cows.

McCune-Albright syndrome(MAS) is a postzygotic somatic mutation disorder caused by activating mutations in the GNAS gene, which encodes the α subunit of the stimulatory G protein. Its clinical features typically include polyostotic fibrous dysplasia, cafe-au-lait skin pigmentation, and endocrine hyperactivity, such as Cushing′s syndrome, hyperthyroidism, and growth hormone excess. Here, we report two rare cases of MAS complicated with adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)-independent Cushing syndrome, and provide a review and analysis of previously reported MAS cases associated with Cushing′s syndrome.

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the feasibility, efficacy and safety of Sentinel cerebral embolic protection device (CEPD) during transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). This study is a subgroup analysis of the China Moderate to Severe Valvular Heart Disease Registry, which has been registered at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR2300075006). METHODS: Patients undergoing TAVR with the Sentinel CEPD from October 2023 to September 2024 were retrospectively enrolled. A total of 80 patients were included, with a median age of 72 (68, 76) years, including 52 males (65.0%) and 28 females (35.0%); 62 patients (77.5%) with tricuspid valves, and 18 patients (22.5%) with bicuspid valves; 34 patients (42.5%) with type Ⅰ aortic arch, 24 patients (30.0%) with type Ⅱ aortic arch, 12 patients (15.0%) with type Ⅲ aortic arch, and 10 patients (12.5%) with bovine-type aortic arch. Clinical data of the patients were summarized and analyzed. The primary endpoints were success rate of Sentinel CEPD implantation, as well as all-cause death, symptomatic stroke, transient ischemic attack, and Sentinel CEPD access vessel complications during hospitalization and within 30 days postoperatively. RESULTS: In the 80 patients, self-expanding valves were used in 68 cases (85.0%) and balloon-expandable valves in 12 cases (15.0%). Seventy-nine patients (98.8%) successfully underwent TAVR with Sentinel CEPD deployment. Macroscopically visible debris was captured in 92.5% (74/80) by filters of Sentinel CEPD. Although the procedure time for Sentinel CEPD placement was slightly longer in patients with bovine-type aortic arch, there was no statistically significant difference in deployment time among different aortic arch types (P>0.05). During hospitalization and within 30 days postoperatively, only one case of transient ischemic attack occurred, and there was no all-cause mortality, symptomatic stroke, or access-site vascular complications related to the Sentinel CEPD observed. CONCLUSIONS The Sentinel CEPD demonstrates high feasibility across aortic arch types, potential efficacy in embolic capture, and excellent safety in TAVR.
