Objective:
To investigate the status and influencing factors of nutritional health knowledge awareness among primary and middle school students in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide a basis for carrying out targeted nutrition health education for students.
Methods:
The stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select students from 48 schools across 12 counties (cities and districts) in Wenzhou City as survey subjects from October 2023 to February 2024. Basic information, parental information, and nutritional health knowledge were collected using the Questionnaire on nutritional health knowledge for School-Age Children. The awareness rate of nutritional health knowledge was analyzed. Multivariable logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors for nutritional health knowledge awareness among primary and middle school students.
Results:
The survey included 4 405 boys, accounting for 51.42%, and 4 161 girls, accounting for 48.58%. The sample consisted of 2 497 pupils in Grades 1-3 (29.15%), 2 591 pupils in Grades 4-6 (30.25%), 1 739 junior high school students (20.30%), and 1 739 senior high school students (20.30%). The median score of nutrition health knowledge was 75.00 (interquartile range, 19.00), and the awareness rate was 4 524 (52.81%). Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that girls (OR=1.317, 95%CI: 1.198-1.447), primary school students (Grades 1-3, OR=7.830, 95%CI: 6.444-9.513; Grades 4-6, OR=1.276, 95%CI: 1.066-1.528), and those whose mothers had an educational level above junior high school (senior high school/technical secondary school/technical school/junior college, OR=1.188, 95%CI: 1.044-1.352; bachelor' s degree or above, OR=1.194, 95%CI: 1.024-1.392) had a higher likelihood of nutrition and health knowledge awareness. Conversely, students who were overweight or obese (OR=0.798, 95%CI: 0.671-0.950), lived in school (OR=0.763, 95%CI: 0.650-0.895), and had a daily outdoor activity duration of <30 minutes (OR=0.641, 95%CI: 0.570-0.721) had a lower likelihood of nutritional health knowledge awareness.
Conclusions
The awareness rate of nutritional health knowledge among primary and middle school students in Wenzhou City needs to be improved, and is mainly influenced by gender, educational stage, body mass index, mother' s educational level, and outdoor activity duration. It is recommended to implement differentiated health education strategies and build a "family-school-community" linkage mechanism to improve students' nutrition health literacy.

Journal of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;48(1):34-42
Objective:
To explore the plasma metabonomic characteristics of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome.
Methods:
One hundred and three patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome were enrolled from November 2023 to February 2024 in the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and 54 healthy individuals were recruited. The general data of the two groups were analyzed, and the plasma metabolite content was detected using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-Orbitrap mass spectrometry. Construct an orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis model to screen metabolites with significant intergroup changes. The variable importance in projection≥ 1, |log2FC|>1, and P<0.05 were used as the criteria for the screening of differential metabolites. Annotate differential metabolites using internal databases and the human metabolome database, and perform pathway analysis using MetaboAnalyst website.
Results:
There was no statistically significant difference in gender and age between the two groups.Seventeen potential differential metabolites were identified. The D-4′-phosphopantothenate, 2, 6-dichloroindophenol, 4-methylphenol, hypoxanthine, 11, 12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, oleamide, 3-phenyllactic acid contents were higher in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome than in healthy individuals(P<0.05); 3-anisic acid, 3-iodo-octadecanoic acid, mebendazole, β-alanine, citric acid, trans-aconitic acid, geranyl diphosphate, lysophosphatidylcholine(18∶2), phosphatidylethanolamine(18∶1), and caprolactam contents were lower in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome than in healthy individuals(P<0.05). Ten metabolic pathways were identified, including the key metabolic pantothenate and coenzyme A biosynthesis pathways.
Conclusion
Metabolic differences were observed between patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and turbid toxin accumulation syndrome and healthy individuals, and the underlying mechanism may involve the pantothenate and coenzyme A biosynthesis pathways, jointly mediated by D-4′-phosphopantothenate and β-alanine.

Objective:To investigate the feasibility of a three-dimensional no new U-Net (3D nnU-Net) deep learning (DL) network for the automatic segmentation of colorectal cancer (CRC) based on abdominal CT images. Methods:This was a cross-sectional study. From January 2018 to May 2023, a total of 2180 primary CRC patients, confirmed by pathology at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (center 1, n=777), Nanfang Hospital, Southern Medical University (center 2, n=732), and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital (center 3, n=671), were enrolled in this retrospective study. The baseline abdominal CT examination of each patient was conducted using CT equipment from 7 different models across 4 vendors, at the 3 centers, encompassing both the arterial phase (AP) and venous phase (VP). Two radiologists manually delineated the volume of interest to circumscribe the entire tumors in dual-enhanced phase CT images. The CT data of CRC patients from center 1 and center 3 were merged and divided into a training set ( n=1 159) and a validation set ( n=289) using a weighted random method with a ratio of 4∶1. The patients from center 2 were used as an independent external test set ( n=732). The 3D nnU-Net segmentation model was trained and tested. Using manually annotated label data as the benchmark, segmentation performance of the model was evaluated based on different phases and tumor locations. The segmentation coverage rate (SCR), Dice similarity coefficient (DSC), recall (REC), precision (PRE), F1-score, and 95% Hausdorff distance (HD 95) were calculated. The mean manual segmentation time and the mean automatic time were compared using independent samples t-test. Results:In the independent external test set, the performance of the 3D nnU-Net model based on the AP CT images was superior to that based on the VP CT images. On the AP images, the SCR, DSC, REC, PRE, F1-score, and HD 95 were 0.865, 0.714, 0.716, 0.736, 0.714, and 27.228, respectively; on the VP images, they were 0.834, 0.679, 0.710, 0.675, 0.679, and 29.358, respectively. The model achieved the best performance on right-sided colon cancer, with SCR, DSC, REC, PRE, F1-score, and HD95 on the AP CT images at 0.901, 0.775, 0.780, 0.787, 0.775, and 21.793, respectively. Next were left-sided colon cancer and rectal cancer, while the segmentation performance for transverse colon cancer was the worst (SCR, DSC, REC, PRE, F1-score, and HD 95 were 0.731, 0.631, 0.641, 0.630, 0.631 and 38.721, respectively). The automatic segmentation time on a single phase was (1.0±0.3) min, while the manual segmentation time was (17.5±6.0) min ( t=128.24, P<0.001). Conclusions:After training and validating on a dataset from multiple centers with various CT scanner vendors, the 3D nnU-Net DL model demonstrates the capability to automatically segment CRC based on abdominal CT images, while also showcasing commendable robustness and generalization ability.

Objective:To establish a classification system for the repair band in the subchondral bone origination point in MRI for traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) and preliminarily explore the correlation between this classification and the progression of femoral head collapse. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 73 cases of traumatic ON-FH treated at the Quanzhou Orthopedic-traumatological hospital from January 2000 to December 2019. Among them, there were 46 males and 27 females with an average age of 34.9±8.3 years (range 19-55 years). Clinical and radiological data such as age, gender, side, fracture classification, reduction quality, JIC classification, and bone repair band (BRB) classification were recorded. The progression of traumatic ONFH was assessed using the ARCO staging system, with stages IIIA and IIIB defined as mild collapse and progressive collapse, respectively. The BRB classification was established based on MRI findings, and the inter- and intra-observer consistency of the BRB classification was analyzed using Kappa test. The correlation between the BRB classification and progressive femoral head collapse was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier survival curve and binary variable Cox regression analysis. Results:According to the BRB classification, 73 cases were divided into type 1 with superficial lesion in 38.4%, type 2 with uncertain lesion in 21.9%, and type 3 with extensive lesion in 39.7%. The inter-observer consistency Kappa value for the BRB classification was 0.798, and the intra-observer consistency Kappa value was 0.896, indicating a high level of consistency. A follow-up of 73 cases (54.8±34.9 months, range 24-165 months) showed a significant correlation between the BRB classification and ARCO staging at the last follow-up (χ 2=37.556, P<0.001), with progression to stages IIIA and IIIB as follows: type 1 had 3 and 1 cases, type 2 had 4 and 1 cases, and type 3 had 14 and 12 cases, respectively. Using the occurrence of progressive collapse (stage IIIB) as the endpoint, the risk of progression to stage IIIB for type 2 was not statistically different from type 1 [ HR=1.766, 95% CI (0.465, 6.702), P=0.403]; the risk of progression to stage IIIB for type 3 was significantly higher than for type 1 [ HR=15.126, 95% CI (4.708, 48.592), P<0.001]. Conclusion:The BRB classification is closely related to the progression of traumatic ONFH and is an independent risk factor for predicting the occurrence of progressive collapse; this classification is helpful for early diagnosis and predicting the progression of collapse and treatment plan decision-making.
