The c-Jun N-terminal kinase （JNK） signaling pathway， a key member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase （MAPK） family， plays a central role in the pathogenesis and progression of central nervous system （CNS） diseases by regulating core biological processes such as apoptosis， inflammatory responses， synaptic plasticity， and autophagy. This article sorts out and analyzes relevant literature published domestically and internationally in recent years， summarizing the mechanisms of action of the JNK signaling pathway in common CNS diseases and the research progress in traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） interventions in CNS diseases through the regulation of the JNK signaling pathway. Studies have shown that active components of TCM， such as berberine， paeoniflorin， and astragaloside Ⅳ， as well as compound formulations like Heixiaoyao san， Ditan tang， and Buyang huanwu tang， can exert neuroprotective effects in various CNS disorders， including Alzheimer’s disease， Parkinson’s disease， cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury， and epilepsy， by inhibiting the aberrant activation of the JNK signaling pathway， thereby alleviating neuroinflammation， oxidative stress， and neuronal apoptosis， while improving synaptic function and cognitive behavioral deficits， regulating autophagy， and maintaining blood-brain barrier integrity.

Alzheimer’s disease （AD） is an age-related neurodegenerative disorder. Marrow-sea insufficiency serves as the fundamental basis for the onset of AD. Early syndrome differentiation-based intervention helps to delay disease progression， and improve patients’ cognitive function. Qifu yin is a representative specialized prescription for AD with marrow-sea insufficiency syndrome. Studies demonstrate that Qifu yin exerts neuroprotective effects through multiple pathways， including inhibiting the abnormal deposition of amyloid β -protein and hyperphosphorylation of tau protein， alleviating neuroinflammation， regulating oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction， modulating the cholinergic system， and improving synaptic plasticity. Qifu yin combined with Western medicine such as donepezil， memantine， and butylphthalide， or combined with external therapies such as acupuncture， can effectively improve cognitive function and activities of daily living in AD patients with favorable safety. Future research should focus on the core pathogenesis and key targets of AD with marrow-sea insufficiency syndrome， provide in-depth elucidation of the scientific connotation of Qifu yin’s “tonifying the kidney to produce marrow”， and further conduct high-quality clinical studies to provide scientific evidence for the prevention and treatment of AD with marrow-sea insufficiency syndrome.

Surgery is the mainly treatment for rectal cancer. Rectal cancer surgery currently poses specific challenges due to the complex anatomy of pelvic and narrow operating area. Three-dimensional(3D) modelling transforms two-dimensional images into three-dimensional models, makes medical imaging more intuitive and closer to the real surgical procedure. 3D modelling can reconstruct lesions along with surrounding structures, such as organs, vessels, and nerves, thereby enhancing disease diagnosis and treatment. Currently, 3D modelling technology has played a significant role in preoperative planning, intraoperative navigation, medical education, and other fields in orthopedics, urology, thoracic surgery and other surgery. However, its application in rectal surgery is still in the exploratory stage. This article provided a review of the relevant research and progress of 3D modelling in rectal cancer surgery, to improve the development of this technology.

Ovarian cancer is a common gynecological malignant tumor, its morbidity and mortality increase year by year, seriously threatening the life and health of women. Early diagnosis is of great significance to control the development of ovarian cancer. This article mainly reviews the application of PET imaging and serological test alone and in combination in the diagnosis and treatment and disease monitoring of ovarian cancer.

Background Air pollution exposure has a significant impact on maternal and child health. However, the research on the association between ambient ozone (O₃) exposure during pregnancy and the risk of premature birth in newborns is limited, and the conclusions are inconsistent. Objective To investigate the association of ambient O₃ exposure during pregnancy with the risk of preterm birth in Guangdong Province. Methods Data of pregnant women in Guangzhou from 2013 to 2019 and Foshan from 2018 to 2023 were collected, and O₃ concentrations during different trimesters were assessed according to maternal residential addresses. Bilinear interpolation was used to evaluate the concentrations of air pollution. A cohort study design was adopted in our study. Restricted cubic spline curves were used to evaluate the exposure-response relationship between O₃ exposure and preterm birth risk and explore potential exposure threshold of O₃. Logistic regression models were used to evaluate the association of O₃ exposure with preterm birth. Results A total of 702 924 pregnant women were included in this study, of whom 43 051 (6.12%) were preterm. The average O₃ exposure concentrations of pregnant women during the first, second, third, and whole trimesters were 95.51, 97.51, 100.60, and 97.87 μg·m⁻³, respectively. We observed J-shaped associations between O₃ exposure and preterm birth risk during the second, third, and whole trimesters of pregnancy using restricted cubic spline curves. This study found that there were threshold concentrations between O₃ exposure and preterm birth risk during different gestational periods, and the threshold concentrations in the first, second, third, and whole trimesters were 112.32, 99.83, 111.74, and 112.46 μg·m⁻³, respectively. During the second, third, and whole trimesters of pregnancy, after adjusting for maternal age, baby sex, pre-pregnancy body mass index, mode of delivery, baby birth weight, gestational diabetes, and gestational hypertension, the odds ratios (OR) of preterm birth were 1.02 (95%CI: 1.01, 1.04), 1.02 (95%CI: 1.00, 1.03), and 1.17 (95%CI: 1.13, 1.21) for each 10 μg·m⁻³ increase in O₃ concentration above the O₃ threshold. No significant association was found between O₃ exposure and the risk of preterm birth during the first trimester. Conclusion There is a nonlinear association between the risk of preterm birth and O₃ exposure during pregnancy, and higher concentrations of O₃ exposure during pregnancy are associated with the risk of preterm birth. Above the O₃ threshold concentration during pregnancy, especially during the second, third, and whole trimesters, the risk of preterm birth elevates with the increase of O₃ exposure concentrations.

In June 1958, the first specialized acupuncture hospital, the Affiliated Acupuncture Experimental Hospital of Jiangsu Provincial School of TCM, was established in Nanjing. This hospital was founded under the initiative of Mr. CHENG Dan'an, the founder of the Chengjiang School of Acupuncture. Centered on clinical acupuncture, the hospital also carried out research and teaching, forming an integrated development model of medical care, education, and research. Its development experience, including a clear hospital-running philosophy, orientation toward solving clinical needs, and deep integration of medical care, education, and research, provides important historical references for the construction of modern specialized acupuncture hospitals.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the current status of infection control departments setting,allocation of in-fection control professionals and their position competence in the secondary,tertiary traditional Chinese medi-cine institutions of Beijing.METHODS The questionnaire survey was conducted for all of the secondary and tertiary traditional Chinese medicine institutions in Beijing by Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Infection Man-agement Quality Control Center from Feb.17,2023 to Apr.11,2023.The content of the survey involved the in-formation of the hospitals,setting information of infection control departments and allocation of infection control professionals.RESULTS Totally 59 traditional Chines medicine medical institutions were involved in the survey,35(59.32％)were tertiary hospitals.The median of opened beds was 331(155,479)in the first quarter of 2023.The median of equipped infection control professionals was 4(3,5).The number of infection control professional e-quipped in 67.80％of the medical institutions conformed to requirements of"Notice regarding to further strength-en the management of infection control professionals allocation in medical institutions"released by The Joint Pre-vention and Control Mechanism of the State Council for the Response to the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epi-demic in Aug.2021,with the ratio of infection control professionals to beds 1∶94.20.The principals in charge of the infection control department who had the qualifications for senior professional and technical position and en-gaged in infection control for more than 5 years accounted for 20.00％.Among the infection control professionals,nurses accounted for 49.17％,doctors 41.67％,other professionals 9.17％.CONCLUSIONS There is relatively adequate quantity of the infection control professional equipped in the secondary and tertia-ry medical institutions of Beijing,however,the principals in charge of the infection control department who had the qualifications for senior professional and technical position and engaged in infection control for more than 5 years are very scarce.It is necessary to further optimize the structure of the infection control professionals.
