[Objective]To evaluate the knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)of medication use and safety among the patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)in a 3A-grade hospital of Guangzhou city,and to provide scientific basis for AIDS prevention and treatment.[Methods]A questionnaire survey was conducted among AIDS patients aged 18 years and above in our hospital to investigate their KAP regarding medication use and safety.[Results]A total of 549 questionnaires were collected,of which 503 were valid,with an effective recovery rate of 91.6%.The average scores of KAP were(14.58±8.49),(25.21±6.92)and(47.58±3.33),respectively,with the scoring rates of 36.46%,63.02%,and 95.16%,respectively.There were statistically significant differences(P＜0.05)in knowledge scores among people with different ages,education levels and occupations.Multiple linear regression showed that education level and medical insurance status had most significant impact on knowledge scores(P<0.05).Significant differences were found in attitude scores among people with different education levels(P<0.05),as well as in practice scores among people with different occupations(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression revealed that age,occupation,knowledge score and attitude score had a significant impact on practice scores(P<0.05).Patients expected to receive pharmaceutical care services from the pharmacists via face-to-face communication,network platform and telephone consultation on medication knowledge such as adverse drug reactions and response measures,drug-drug interactions,missed medication and response measures,medication adherence measures,etc.[Conclusions]AIDS patients in this hospital have a good awareness of medication safety,but their knowledge of medication use needs improvement.Some bad habits may affect their compliance,resulting in safety hazards.Therefore,there is an urgent demand for pharmaceutical care services related to rational drug use.

Background::Non-smokers account for a large proportion of lung cancer patients, especially in Asia, but the attention paid to them is limited compared with smokers. In non-smokers, males display a risk for lung cancer incidence distinct from the females—even after excluding the influence of smoking; but the knowledge regarding the factors causing the difference is sparse. Based on a large multicenter prospective cancer screening cohort in China, we aimed to elucidate the interpretable sex differences caused by known factors and provide clues for primary and secondary prevention.Methods::Risk factors including demographic characteristics, lifestyle factors, family history of cancer, and baseline comorbidity were obtained from 796,283 Chinese non-smoking participants by the baseline risk assessment completed in 2013 to 2018. Cox regression analysis was performed to assess the sex difference in the risk of lung cancer, and the hazard ratios (HRs) that were adjusted for different known factors were calculated and compared to determine the proportion of excess risk and to explain the existing risk factors.Results::With a median follow-up of 4.80 years, 3351 subjects who were diagnosed with lung cancer were selected in the analysis. The lung cancer risk of males was significantly higher than that of females; the HRs in all male non-smokers were 1.29 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.20-1.38) after adjusting for the age and 1.38 (95% CI: 1.28-1.50) after adjusting for all factors, which suggested that known factors could not explain the sex difference in the risk of lung cancer in non-smokers. Known factors were 7% (|1.29-1.38|/1.29) more harmful in women than in men. For adenocarcinoma, women showed excess risk higher than men, contrary to squamous cell carcinoma; after adjusting for all factors, 47% ([1.30-1.16]/[1.30-1]) and 4% ([7.02-6.75]/[7.02-1])) of the excess risk was explainable in adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. The main causes of gender differences in lung cancer risk were lifestyle factors, baseline comorbidity, and family history.Conclusions::Significant gender differences in the risk of lung cancer were discovered in China non-smokers. Existing risk factors did not explain the excess lung cancer risk of all non-smoking men, and the internal causes for the excess risk still need to be explored; most known risk factors were more harmful to non-smoking women; further exploring the causes of the sex difference would help to improve the prevention and screening programs and protect the non-smoking males from lung cancers.

Objective To observe the influence of human umbilical cord wharton′s jelly‐mesenchymal stem cells(WJ‐MHCs) on the tumor necrosis factorα (TNF‐α) and N‐terminal pro‐brain natriuretic peptide(NT‐proBNP) in rats with heart failure of a‐cute myocardial infarction .Methods Totally 80 male rat models of heart failure of acute myocardial infarction were made by isopre‐naline(ISO) 200 mg/kg injected subcutaneously twice at an interval of 24 hours .After one week ,24 survival rats were randomly di‐vided into WJ‐M HCs transplantation group and normal control group .Sham group was made of 12 health rats ,and then each of the three groups was subdivided into pre‐transplantation group and post‐transplantation group 4 weeks later .WJ‐MHCs transplantation group was transplanted with WJ‐MHCs with DAPI labeled after ISO injected one week .Sham group and normal group were un‐treated and normally bred .The left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) measured by before transplantation and post‐transplantation 4 weeks later .The injected cells and the expression of TNF‐αwas measured .Results Compared to pre‐transplantation group ,WJ‐M HCs transplantation group increased the LVEF(P<0 .05);compared to pre‐transplantation and normal control ,WJ‐M HCs trans‐plantation group reduced the TNF‐αand NT‐proBNP in the serum(P<0 .05)and the expression of TNF‐α from the heart tissue (P<0 .05);compared to normal transplantation ,WJ‐M HCs transplantation group reduced the mortality from 33 .3% to 16 .7% ;immunofluorescence demonstrated that transplanted cells were still found alive in the heart after transplantation 4 weeks later .Con‐clusion Transplantation of WJ‐MHCS down‐regulates TNF‐α and NT‐proBNP in the serum in the serum and the expression of TNF‐αfrom the heart tissue and up‐regulates the LVEF in rats with heart failure of acute myocardial infarction .

Objective To investigate the mechanism of anti-tumor in lung cancer patients and their effects to immune system undergoing with microwave ablation treatment,radioimmunotherapy of 131Ⅰ tumor cells human mouse chimeric monoclonal antibody injection (131Ⅰ-chTNT) and combined treatment of two anterior method.Methods The 50 cases of lung cancer were divided into three groups randomly,17 cases were in the group of simple microwave ablation treatment,15 cases were in the group of simple radiotherapy immunotherapy,18 cases were in the group of combined microwave ablation treatment with 131Ⅰ-chTNT radioimmunoassay.During the study,the T lymphocyte subsets,the activity of NK cells,the expressing of interleukin (IL)-2,IL-10,IL-12,the changing of the interferon γ(IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) were detected and compared of before and after treatment on all the patients.Results The CD4+ value,CD4+/CD8+ value and the activity of NK cells in these three groups after treatment were higher than that of before treatment (P ＜ 0.05),there was statistic difference between the combined treatment group and two simple treatment groups (P ＜ 0.01).The expression of IL-2,IL-12,IFN-γ TNF-α in three group patients after treatment were higher than that of before treatment,which had statistical significance (P ＜ 0.05),while there were no significant differences between groups (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The method combined microwave ablation treatment with 131Ⅰ-chTNT radioimmunoassay has efficiency to improve the immune function,which could improve the comprehensive therapeutic effect of lung cancer excellently.

Objective To study the role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in phenotypic change of cultured human glomerular mesangial cells induced by high glucose.Methods Cultured human glomeruar mesangial cells were divided into three groups: control group,high glucose group and high glucose+ 4-phenylbutyric acid (4-PBA) group.Cell number of proliferation was assessed by MTT assay.Cell cycle was measured by flow cytometric analysis.Expression of α-SMA was assessed by immunohistochemistry and was observed by laser scanning confocal microscope.Involved mRNA and protein expression were measured by real-time PCR and Western blotting.Results (1)Cell number of proliferation and S transition proportion in high glucose group significantly increased than that in control group (P ＜ 0.05).High glucose could induce α-SMA expression significantly (P＜0.05).4-PBA could significantly inhibit human glomerular mesangial cells proliferation (P＜0.05),S transition arrest (P＜0.05) and expression of α-SMA (P＜0.05) induced by high glucose.(2) Compared with control group,high glucose could significantly increase the expression of glucose-regulated protein78(Grp78 ) mRNA and protein (P＜ 0.05),which could be inhibited by 4-PBA treatment (P＜0.05).(3)High glucose could induce the mRNA and protein expression of TGF-β1 and FN significantly,which could be inhibited by 4-PBA treatment (P＜0.05).Conclusion Endoplasmic reticulum stress plays an important role in phenotypic change of cultured human glomerular mesangial cells induced by high glucose.

AIM: To investigate the influence of irbesartan (Irb), a new angiotensin II receptor 1 antagonist, on renal hypertrophy in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. METHODS: Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into three groups: normal group (Group N, n=7), diabetic group (Group DN, n=6) and irbesartan treated group (Group DNI, n=7). In the experimental group, after the rats subjected to uninephrectomy, STZ was given by peritoneally injection at bolus dose of 50 mg/kg to induce diabetes. Blood glucose (BG), body weight (BW), urinary albumin excretion (Ualb), 24 hour proteinuria (24 h Upro) were measured at week 4, 8, 12, respectively. By the end of experiment at week 12, creatinine clearance (Ccr), kidney weight (KW), indicator of renal hypertrophy (KW/BW), renal total protein content (RTP), glomerular area (AG) and glomerular volume (VG) as well as glomerular basement membrane (GBM) were determined by semi-quantitative pathology technique.
