1.Association of vegetables and fruits intake with depressive symptoms in Yunnan multi ethnic first year junior high school students

Objective:
To explore the association of vegetables and fruits intake with depressive symptoms among multi ethnic first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province, so as to provide data support for preventing and reducing depressive symptoms among first year junior high school students.
Methods:
From October to December 2022, a cluster random sampling method was used to select 8 500 first year junior high school students from 11 ethnic minority areas in Yunnan Province (Fugong County, Longling County, Longyang District, Luchun County, Mojiang County, Nanjian County, Qiaojia County, Shuangjiang County, Tengchong City, Yuanmou County, Zhenyuan County), to investigate with a questionnaire. The Dietary Frequency Questionnaire was used to collect dietary behavior datas, and the Chinese version of Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) was used to assess depressive symptoms. The generalized linear model was used to analyze the association of vegetable and fruit intake with depressive symptoms in students, and stratified analysis was performed according to ethnicity.
Results:
The detection rate of depressive symptoms among first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province was 29.5%. The detection rates of depressive symptoms in Han and minority first year junior high school students were 26.9% and 31.6%. After controlling for demographic variables such as gender, age, family residence and other confounding factors, the generalized linear model analysis results showed that the intake of leafy vegetables ( β= -0.07 , 95%CI =-0.12 to -0.01), flat fruits ( β=-0.06, 95%CI =-0.12 to -0.00) and hot natured fruits ( β=0.11, 95%CI = 0.04- 0.17) were associated with depressive symptoms in Han first year junior high school students (all P <0.05). The intake of melon and fruit vegetables ( β=-0.06, 95%CI =-0.11 to -0.01) and hot natured fruits ( β=0.06, 95%CI =0.01-0.12) were associated with depressive symptoms in ethnic minority first year junior high school students (both P <0.05).
Conclusions
The intake of vegetables and fruits among multi ethnic first year junior high school students in Yunnan Province is related to the risk of depressive symptoms. It is suggested to strengthen the consumption guidance and education of vegetables and fruits to prevent depressive symptoms among first year junior high school students.

Intestinal fibrosis is a significant clinical challenge in inflammatory bowel diseases, but no effective anti-fibrotic therapy is currently available. Glucagon receptor (GCGR) and glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP1R) are both peptide hormone receptors involved in energy metabolism of epithelial cells. However, their role in intestinal fibrosis and the underlying mechanisms remain largely unexplored. Herein GCGR and GLP1R were found to be reduced in the stenotic ileum of patients with Crohn's disease as well as in the fibrotic colon of mice with chronic colitis. The downregulation of GCGR and GLP1R led to the accumulation of the metabolic byproduct lactate, resulting in histone H3K9 lactylation and exacerbated intestinal fibrosis through epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Dual activating GCGR and GLP1R by peptide 1907B reduced the H3K9 lactylation in epithelial cells and ameliorated intestinal fibrosis in vivo. We uncovered the role of GCGR/GLP1R in regulating EMT involved in intestinal fibrosis via histone lactylation. Simultaneously activating GCGR/GLP1R with the novel dual agonist peptide 1907B holds promise as a treatment strategy for alleviating intestinal fibrosis.
3.Synergistic strategies of scaffold construction and drug delivery systems for cartilage regeneration.

In recent years, the rapid development of transportation and sports industries, coupled with the accelerated population aging in China, has led to a steady increase in the incidence of articular cartilage injuries, wear, and degenerative changes. Currently, the clinical treatment options for cartilage defects primarily include conservative therapies and surgical interventions, both of which have certain limitations. Cartilage tissue engineering (CTE), as a novel technology, provides an infinite prospect for cartilage regeneration and repair. Because of the abilities of scaffolds to mimic the natural cartilage structure, exhibit excellent biocompatibility and biomimetic mechanical properties, and promote cell adhesion and proliferation, scaffolds are considered effective delivery systems for growth factors, genes, and drugs. This review summarizes the clinical treatments for cartilage defects and their limitations, discusses the materials and preparation techniques of scaffolds used in CTE, with a particular focus on drug-loaded scaffold delivery systems in cartilage repair and regeneration, and offers a perspective on the future application of drug-loaded CTE. The aim is to provide theoretical guidance and new approaches for the repair of cartilage defects.

4.Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy for central nervous system lymphoma secondary to marginal zone B-cell lymphoma: report of 1 case and review of literature

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy for central nervous system lymphoma (CNSL) secondary to marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (MZBCL).Methods:The clinical data of a patient with CNSL secondary to MZBCL admitted to Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University in September 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, and the relevant literatures were reviewed.Results:The patient was a 48-year-old male. Due to progressive swelling of the lymph nodes in the neck, lymph node resection and biopsy were performed. And then he was diagnosed as MZBCL and received R-CHOP-like regimen. The patient showed face abnormalities after treatment. The secondary CNSL was confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance, PET-CT, and cerebrospinal fluid immunophenotyping. Despite treatment with methotrexate, Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors and temozolomide, the patient's disease condition progressed. Salvage treatment with CAR-T was successful, with grade 1 cytokine release syndrome and no occurrence of immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome; complete remission was finally achieved. Follow-up until January 2025, no recurrence was found in the patient.Conclusions:CAR-T cell therapy can significantly improve the prognosis of patients with relapsed/refractory secondary CNSL, demonstrating a good efficacy and a manageable safety. However, large-scale prospective studies are still needed to evaluate long-term efficacy.
5.The protective effect of low-dose L-carnitine on the reproductive function of male Wistar rats during acute exposure to simulated high-altitude environment

Objective:To investigate the interventional and protective effect of low-dose L-carnitine(LC)against reproductive system damage in male Wistar rats during acute exposure to simulated high-altitude environment.Methods:A total of 24 specific pathogen-free male Wistar rats,aged 12 weeks,were randomly divided into control group,high-altitude model group,and LC intervention group[intraperitoneal injection of LC at a dose of 50 mg/(kg·d)],with 8 rats in each group.The rats in the control group were fed under normal conditions(at an altitude of approximately 1 500 m),those in the high-altitude model group,and those in the LC intervention group were fed in a hypobaric oxygen chamber(at a simulated alti-tude of 6 000 m).The rats were sacrificed after 3 days.The testis was collected to calculate testicular index;the semen was collected from the epididymis,and the Weili sperm quality analysis system was used to assess sperm quality;blood samples were collected from the abdominal aorta,and ELISA kits were used to measure the serum levels of testosterone(T),luteinizing hormone(LH),and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH);testicular tissue samples were collected,and biochemical kits were used to measure the activity of reactive oxygen species(ROS),malondialdehyde(MDA),and superoxide dismutase(SOD);testicular tissue was collected to prepare HE and electron microscopy sections,and a light microscope and a transmission electron microscope were used for observation.Results:Com-pared with the blank control group,the high-altitude model group had significant increases in the levels of T,LH,and FSH(P<0.01),testicular tissue damage under the light microscope,and changes in the morphology of spermatogenic cells,including mitochondrial al-terations,membrane edema,loss of cristae,swelling of the matrix,and local dissolution,as well as significant increases in the levels of ROS and MDA(P<0.01)and a significant reduction in SOD activity(P<0.01).Compared with the high-altitude model group,the LC intervention group had a significant increase in the level of T(P<0.01),significant reductions in the levels of FSH and LH(P<0.01),and significant improvements in the pathological changes of testicular tissue,with no marked mitochondrial injury,and there were sig-nificant reductions in the levels of ROS and MDA(P<0.01)and a significant increase in SOD activity(P<0.01).There was no signifi-cant difference in testicular index between groups(P>0.05).The high-altitude model group had a significantly lower sperm count than the blank control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in sperm count between the LC intervention group and the blank control group(P>0.05);there was no significant difference in sperm motility between groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Low-dose LC can improve reproductive system damage in rats during acute exposure to simulated high-altitude environment,possibly by alleviat-ing oxidative stress response.
6.Technical key points and vital improvements of single-port robotic prepectoral breast reconstruction

Objective:To explore the technical key points and vital improvements of single-port robotic prepectoral breast reconstruction.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the case data of 10 patients with breast cancer who underwent single-port robotic prepectoral breast reconstruction performed in the Department of Breast Surgery, Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University from January to March 2025. Technical key points and vital improvements were summarized.Results:All 10 patients underwent surgery using the da Vinci Xi system. During the postoperative follow-up period of (3±1) months, no cases of flap or nipple-areola complex necrosis occurred, with no instances of implant loss. The patients experienced neither severe perioperative nor late postoperative complications, and all were satisfied with the aesthetic outcomes. In single-port robotic prepectoral breast reconstruction, several technical modifications were implemented, including posterior space liposuction, electrocautery-assisted flap dissection, and single-port Trocar connection to robotic arms. These refinements enabled clear intraoperative visualization of the circummammary ligaments, allowing for breast reconstruction to be completed within the fascial anatomical planes.Conclusion:The single-port robotic prepectoral breast reconstruction, achieved through technical refinements including posterior space liposuction, electrocautery-assisted flap dissection, and single-port Trocar connection to robotic arms, demonstrates excellent procedural feasibility and is expected to enable precise glandular resection while achieving favorable breast contour outcomes.
7.Changes in behavior and spatial memory of C57BL/6J mice of different ages

Objective :
To explore the changes in behavior and spatial memory of C57BL/6J female mice of different ages (youth , middle-aged , and elderly) .
Methods:
C57BL/6J female mice were divided into female youth group (YG group) , female middle-aged group ( MG group) and female elderly group ( OG group) according to age. The Morris water maze test measured spatial memory ability , and the open field and elevated cross maze test observed activity level and anxiety level. Western blot was used to determine the protein expressions of CREB , CaMKⅡ(pan) and CaMKⅡ(p) in the hippocampus of the brain tissues of female mice in each group.
Results:
Compared with the YG group , the weight of the MG group and the OG group significantly increased (P < 0. 01 , P < 0. 001) . Compared with the OG group , the third quadrant escape latency and the number of crossings in the YG group and MG group were shortened , and the difference was not statistically significant. Compared with the OG group , there was a statistically significant difference in the exercise speed in the open field of the YG group (P < 0. 01) , there was no significant difference in the movement speed in the open field of the MG group , the number of entries into the central zone significantly increased in the MG group ( P < 0. 05 ) , and there was no significant difference in the number of entries in the YG group (P > 0. 05) . Compared with the OG group , the YG group had a statistically significant difference in the elevated cross maze (P < 0. 05) , the MG group had no statistically signif- icant difference in the elevated cross maze , and the number of closed arm entries in the YG group and MG group significantly increased (P < 0. 001 , P < 0. 01) . Compared with the YG group , the relative expression level of CaMKⅡ(pan) in the OG group was statistically significant ( P < 0. 05 ) , while the relative expression level of CaMKⅡ(pan) in the MG group was not statistically significant ( P > 0. 05) .
Conclusion
With the increase of age , the weight of C57BL/6J female mice gradually increased , the activity level and desire to explore gradually de- creased , the spatial memory ability also declined , and the anxiety level and anxiety-like behavior increased. This study helps to reveal the effect of age on the activity level and cognitive function of females , and provides a refer- ence for studying cognitive and memory decline in older females.
8.Prevalence and influencing factors of reduced visual acuity among young children in Changning District, Shanghai

ObjectiveTo analyze the prevalence of reduced visual acuity of young children in Changning district of Shanghai and to explore the influencing factors, so as to provide a reference basis for formulating prevention and control measures for children’s reduced visual acuity. MethodsVisual acuity examination and questionnaire survey were conducted on 5 772 middle class children in kindergartens and first grade children in primary schools who participated in the refractive screening in Changning District in 2019. χ2 test and logistic regression analysis were used to explore the influencing factors of reduced visual acuity. ResultsThe overall prevalence of reduced visual acuity among lower-aged children was 10.4% (596/5 772). The prevalence of reduced visual acuity in the first grade children was 10.1% (284/2 822), and that in the middle class children of kindergarten was 10.8% (312/2 900). The prevalence of reduced visual acuity was 10.2% (298/2 933) in boys and 10.7% (298/2 789) in girls. 98.1% of young children had one or more bad habits when using eyes. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that frequent excessive head lowering (OR=1.713) and sometimes too close to the screen (OR=1.294) were independent risk factors for reduced visual acuity in young children; After stratification by age, frequent excessive head lowering (OR=1.997) increased the risk of reduced visual acuity of children in the first grade of primary school. Premature birth (OR=1.841), sometimes excessive head lowering (OR=1.363) and frequent excessive head lowering (OR=2.002) increased the risk of reduced visual acuity of children in the middle class of kindergarten. ConclusionFor young children, we should pay more attention to their daily eye use distance, correct their bad behaviors for using eyes such as excessively lowering their head when using eyes and too close to the video screen when using electronic products, so as to prevent and delay the occurrence and development of reduced visual acuity.

The access evaluation of new medical technology is an important part of the preclinical application of medical technology and plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of medical services.However,in the con-crete practice of access evaluation,there are still some problems such as imperfect access theoretical framework,imperfect evaluation index system.With the strategic support of health policies,laws,and regulations,the theory and method of HB-HTA are used for reference,core elements such as assessment subject,assessment object,and assessment content are comprehensively considered,the index system is designed from the dimensions of tech-nical characteristics,safety,effectiveness,economy and applicability,and the access evaluation framework of im-ported medical new technologies is constructed.To offer a theoretical framework and evidence-based basis for medi-cal facility medical technology access management.
